The grilled ham and pineapple sandwich on sourdough with Swiss, gouda, and bacon-Apple mustard jam was amazing! Also had the cream of potato soup and it was perfect! My boyfriend had the club sandwich on sourdough and potato salad. He was in love with the sourdough. They also gave us free cookies because it was our first time there. Definitely a must-try!
You must visit this place for the food and the people, and the actual location! It’s located in the back section of an old church. our meals included the most delicious, freshest ingredients. I had the caprese sandwich, and my family ordered other items. All of it was perfect and the service was great. After we ate we walked through the breath-taking church filled with antiques (not just flea market junk). There was a quaint piece of history at every turn. Nearly every person who walked into the restaurant seemed to know them personally.
Accidentally stumbled across this spot looking for an antique store. Staff is very friendly. sandwiches are delicious. Fresh ingredients. And we got a free cookie..
What a gem we discovered today! The beer cheese soup was delicious, and I had the best BLT that I have ever had. The bacon was so crisp. The food was incredible and the people were even better. The people serving were funny, light-hearted and genuine. We even got free cookies for being first time customers and there is no doubt those were fresh and homemade cookies. I told them that I would be back as soon as I was hungry again and I wasn’t kidding!
Courtyard Deli is one of downtown Lexington’s best kept secrets. At Courtyard Deli you’re experiencing high quality sandwiches full of flavor and contributing to a local, family owned business. They were recommended by a friend working downtown. Their delivery is faster than Panera and free for downtown but I hate having them have to leave the store for one order so I’ve been getting “drive thru”. I call from my building and by the time I drive over it’s already done. You pull up to their kitchen door and pay the people working in the kitchen and your order is ready to go. The turkey and Brie sandwich with chips was $10 is SO filling. I often check out their daily sandwich specials and have loved them all. Sometimes I add their cookie of the day. Courtyard Deli is such a treat to eat on days I don’t bring my lunch or am not out entertaining clients. I highly recommend this local gem. One day I will have to eat INSIDE the restaurant and check out the antique store.
Skylar and I loved our first trip here! Tomato & Cheddar Soup with the Rachel sandwhich was AWESOME! The guy who worked up front checked on us by name and he was hilarious. We will be back on the regular.
Will be a regular at the Courtyard Deli for great lunches and even better people! Thank you from Peter & Katie
Excellent lunch in a unique location in downtown Lexington. All soups are homemade and they have vegetarian and vegan options.
