I had the “Phoenix wrap” and it was delicious! I loved the fact that they had a compost bin, recycling in store, and overall strived to be low waste. They also had nutritional yeast available on the table which was amazing. I wish they had another side option to the main dishes other than the salad (which was also good, but still.) They also had a small shop which included to go meals and bulk bins of different pantry staples. Overall, an amazing experience!
4 of us enjoyed an elegant, casual vegetarian/vegan dinner here Friday evening. What great food, beautifully presented! The chef's creative juices are really flowing. Fast, friendly service in a low-key, peaceful environment.
Had lunch here with my boyfriend while traveling on I-81. It is always great to find an organic and healthy food cafe, and this place has a lot of options. I have to eat gluten free, and they have gluten free bread. We had the veggie burger, which was excellent, with lots of flavor, and nice toppings, lettuce, tomato, onions and special sauces. The other food items we had were not as flavorful, the soup, and a side noodle salad. But overall a good experience.
During my day trip to Lexington, I ate at Blue Phoenix for lunch, and I LOVED it. Starting with the whole artistic vibe and comforting feel to the eslishment, with art hanging on the walls from local artist for sale, books to read, and an area set up for live music. Everyone on there was super friendly and welcoming, like a family welcoming a stranger into their home. In fact it is own, and run, by a family, even their son is there helping out - beautiful. As for the food by far the best vegan food I ever had, first it is plated beautifully, with so much flavor, and very filling. Also so much options to choose from (unusual in vegan/vegetarian and I've eaten in quite a few), I had the brown rice burger wrap. Loved it! A must go, even if you are meat eater, you will find this place delicious and welcoming.
What a gem for vegetarians and vegans. The atmosphere is friendly, down-to-earth, the food is fresh with lots of options for strict plant based eaters. I had a quinoa bowl with onions, kale, tomatoes, avocado, tofu, and a tahini dressing. Nutritious and delicious. I love that the cafe is very community focused. Highly recommended.
My husband and I were on our way back to Georgia and were hungry. I am so glad that we stopped at this Exit (118 B on 81 South, if I remember right!). After a weekend of eating heavy Thanksgiving food we wanted something vegetarian. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was quiet and community driven. If you are traveling like us, just stop stretch your legs, eat something healthy (the food came out super quick!), and enjoy this local joint.
Always my go to when I come home to visit my folks and when I bring my friends from out of town! The harvest burger is my favorite! Everything else is tasty too :) I recommend everything on that menu. Friendly service and the place has a creative and open vibes. Love, love, love!
Hours on Google reflect their shop hours, not cafe hours. We made it just in time (sorry!) and the food was so vegan friendly and yummy! Service was a bit odd but I didnt expect anything different.
Most vegan options in all of Lexington, ha.
