Very good Thai. Love what they did to the place as it was Lemon Grass. The lunch menu had great options. Wish they had a couple of apps with the lunch specials. Also wish they had brown rice rather than berry rice. The food has good flavor. I added some paste to kick it up. I also had the thai rolls since the portions feel a bit small for lunch.
Food
This is definitely another great find, and soon to be my regular spot.
Starting with the drink. The Thai ice tea was perfect both in presentation and taste. Who would have thought of putting a Thai ice tea flavour popsicle on the top of the drink! The Mai Tai was good, but I think they put too much alcohol. Well, maybe that’s not a problem at all.
For appetisers, we had crazy rolls and sweet chili wings. I preferred the crazy rolls because it had so many different textures. The outside wrap was crispy, the minced pork inside was choppy, and the glass noodle in between definitely provided some chewiness. Moving onto the main course, both my husband and I had the roasted duck curry and it did not disappoint. Biting through the roasted duck skin with the tender flesh was satisfying, and with the acidic cherry tomatoes and pineapples on the side, how delicious.
Last but not least, the mango sticky rice. This almost becomes the standard dish for me to make my final judgement when it comes to a Thai restaurant. If they suck at it, well, too bad, I am not coming back. However, Love at First Bite did it so well that my husband decided to get one as well even when he wasn’t planning to get dessert.
Everything else
The ambiance was great and the waiter was nice and friendly too.
This was my first time trying Love at first Bite Thai food and Bar. I live in the Lowell area and the Thai food there isn't so great. I decided to travel outside my surrounding area and try this Thai place that my friend was raving about. I'm so glad that I went today to give it a try. The inside decor was fun and creative. The staff and customer service was very exceptional. The food tasted amazing. Very fresh and hot. The plating was beautiful. My favorite were the drinks. They had cool looking drinks alcohol and non alcohol. Aside from the food the restroom was very clean and smelt nice. I was astonished because who doesn't love a clean restroom. I'll be back again and again because I think I found my favorite Thai spot.
Came here for lunch and had a wonderful time! Beautiful ambiance and great service. Whoever is running the kitchen really knows what they are doing. The ginger tea really hit the spot on a cold day. The veggie drunken noodles had the perfect balance of savory and spicy while still being light. The spicy pad Thai with shrimp also was well balanced between sweet, spicy, and peanuty. Both noodle dishes had the perfect noodle consistency. My father did say he wished there was more shrimp in the pad Thai but the layers of flavor definitely made up for this. Highly recommend this spot for a very flavorful and overall enjoyable experience!
Edit:
Came back a week later and had an even better experience. I got the Tom Yum Koong with veggies (Spicy Lemongrass Soup) and my father the Khao Soi Salmon (spicy salmon curry). I asked for my soup a little extra spicy and my dad said he couldn’t decide which was better, the spicy peanut broth or the actual salmon. On a five star rating this place gets a six!
Run by a Thai family, reasonably priced and good food. Good portions. Shown are the duck curry and pork BBQ and sticky rice. The pork is very lean, not as tasty as it should be. Duck was good. Beers are about 7 dollars a glass.
First time here and was not disappointed. The khao soi salmon was delicious and the spicy pad Thai, and calamari appetizer. The Thai tea I took togo for dessert was super good and refreshing. The decor is so fun and has a cozy vibe, I loved it.
Modern Thai restaurant with great selections of spicy and non-spicy dishes. Highly recommend Thai ice tea, comes with a popsicle.
Wish I had found this place sooner but I am so glad I know about this place now. Service and food were amazing. The Thai ice tea POP was so fun and yummy. I had the Singapore noodles and my husband had the spicy beef basil. Both were delicious, with so much flavor. This is our new favorite place to get thai food.
