So this is the 2nd time we have eaten here. Excellent food and great service. We all tried different rolls and shared. The Heat Attack was amazing.... Great appetizer. Nice and spicy. We were seated right away. Definitely worth the trip. Stop in, you won't be disappointed. This place is amazing!! The service was outstanding, food even better!! If you get a chance, go visit. We will definitely be back!!! The prices were great as well, sushi was fresh and delicious. The prices are reasonable, Signature rolls are only $14.95. Our party had 4 signature rolls and an appetizer, a beer and 2 ice teas... Our total was around $70, that was with a healthy tip. We have paid much more for less. The restaurant is clean as well, tables were wiped and clean.

So... I'm no sushi connoisseur, but I do love sushi and I normally do not do "sit down and order" sushi places, but the "sushi go-round" kind. I know that the sushi always taste fresh at the sit down and order places and I tell you what, this sushi tasted fresh. I asked the hostess where they get their fish from (expecting to hear locally at Newport) and she tells me it's imported from Japan which means delivered fast to the U.S. because fish taste and feel different when previously frozen.
Now on to the food: all four types were delicious and fresh tasting.
• The escolar was so tender and buttery.
• The spicy tuna was just right with a hint of spicy.
• The volcano was rich (spicy mayo) with a touch of sweetness to give it a unique spin since the bottom part is essentially a California Roll topped with a very delicious salmon patty.
• The monkey brains is a tempura battered avocado that's deep fried and stuffed with cooked tuna which makes for another rich and hearty dish.
I expected this place to be a flop, but I stand corrected. Lincoln City Oregon officially has sushi hot spot that is conveniently located at north end of town near Chinook Winds Casino. I recommend stopping by.
Yummy sushi. Glad I tried it. A bit pricey, but larger portions, so a balance in the end.
Tofu appetizer was crunchy and creamy, will get again! Pork tonkotsu ramen was tasty, noodles were quality, toppings we're fresh and varied, pork was lackluster and the portion was soso so I liked it but at the price point would not get again.
Best Japanese food in Lincoln City! My parents like Dragon bento, I prefer Lighthouse tartar and Cherry Blossom sushi roll!

Hands down one of he best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been too. They keep it fun and lighter atmosphere compared to the typical sushi joint. They have a great selection of high end sake for a very reasonable price as well! My husband and I drive all the way from Portland when we like to have a lunch/dinner sushi date

It's not the best sushi I've ever had, but other than that, I have nothing but glowing things to say about this place! Prices are great, portions are good, and rolls are creative. Staff is friendly and fun. Fish is fresh.
Awesome service and amazing food! My son and I stopped for shrimp tempura while on our vacation because it's a favorite of his, Sushi Hunter does not disappoint. I recommend their bento boxes as well, so tasty, GREAT selection!
My husband is the sushi person. He ordered 18 piece spicy sushi of spicy tuna,spicy salmon, & spicy California roll. Loved it. I,on the other hand, ordered appetizers - gyoza, tempura, & salad. All great. Our waiter very professional and overworked. It appeared he was the only one for tables. The place was busy at 6pm.Because it is the beginning of Spring break, maybe they should hired another person.
Great service, clean, good food. Miso was kinda strange. Seaweed was hard? I like this sushi place much better than the one in the factory stores as they messed up my order and all those around me last week.
Anyway, give sushi hunter a shot. Its good.
Absolutely fantastic food and an amazing atmosphere. The waiter was very friendly and kind I would love to come here and eat again! Sushi was high quality and a good amount for the money. I recommend this place to anyone seeking quality Asian food and sushi
