What's great about Lincoln is that there's a bunch of different places to get pizza. What makes Yia Yia's stick out from the rest is that they know their ingredients and how to combine interesting flavor combinations that work insanely well on pizza. Highly recommended! One of (if not) the best pizzerias in Lincoln. My favorite outdoor patio spot to eat and drink craft beer in Lincoln.
The more you get to know the bartenders, the better they are at beer recommendations. I love going to Yia Yia's with friends and family - the pizza, beer and ambiance is great. Wish the patio was bigger! Excited to have a local place with a cool vibe continue to strive to do great work.
Excellent thin crust pizza by the slice or pie! Great, unusual toppings that you can't find anywhere else. The Polynesian is my go-to. The perfect mix of sweet, savory and spicy. You can also get a salad or baked potato loaded up with their pizza ingredients. Plus an amazing craft beer selection and a lovely little cozy outdoor patio. This is usually my first recommendation for newcomers to Lincoln.
how can I not like a place with a create your own slice? a new pizza every time + largest beer selection in town, I also love the fact that for once I don't have to listen to top 40 pop music :)
Great, thin crust pizza with imaginative toppings. This is the 1st place in town to have stocked a huge selection of beers from all over the world. Beautiful, old downtown building. I’ve been going there for 20 years and still get the same pizza every time. Love it.
my absolute favorite place for pizza + beer... anywhere and everywhere in between. ❤️ had my first date here with my boyfriend! it’s a restaurant that is filled with lots of special memories for myself and i know many others, all while enjoying spectacular food + excellent customer service.
Fantastic beer selection, design-your-own slices/pies with delicious, eclectic choices for toppings, edgy-cool ambiance, and the very best people behind the counter make Yia Yia’s an unparalleled and iconic establishment that Lincoln is consistently proud to call its own.
Yia Yia’s has never ceased to be magical from the first moment that I stepped through the doors twenty years ago. Not only is the pizza selection endless, but the bar has just about every drink you could want and they fresh brew the iced tea. You will find an option here to satisfy every dietary need. It is my go-to spot for bringing out of town company. The topping selection is a blend of artisan and comfort choices. This is a Lincoln gem and hands down a vibrant and essential part of our town. Thank you, Yia Yia’s!
Hands down best pizza, freshest ingredients, and one of the coolest atmospheres in town. Plus, their drink selection is outstanding! I absolutely love Yia Yia's!
My favorite pizza place!! Great choice of unusual pizza toppings, great beer selection, and great atmosphere!!
Love this place. The pizza is delicious and the staff is great. And now that I'm working downtown again...I'll be in there a lot.
Not only is the pizza delicious and customizable to any diet, but the salads you can make are soooo good! Yia Yias has been one of my go-to restaurants for more than 10 years!
a lincoln treasure! delicious pizza and salads. and hands down the best beer selection in town!
Love Yia’s!! Best pizza around and a huge selection of beer. The atomsphere is friendly and full of energy and the staff is awesome. I highly suggest stopping in for a brew and a slice if you’re in the area!
I have always loved everything about Yia yia’s, the food, the beer and the vibe. Great place !
Love this place!!! Excited to experience how you turn this around to be something that makes it even better than has always been! Been coming here for years and wont be stopping anytime soon :)
Best Pizza and Beer selection in town that is in 1 place. Would recommend to anyone!
Great pizza!! Great work staff! Tons of beers!!
10/10 would recommend.
Since my wife and I were in Lincoln , today. We decided to try Yiayia's, per David Hansen's review. It was all plus more than expected. We both ordered a large custom pizza to go. Plus we were given a large fresh made loaf of bread too. We will be going back there the next time we are in Lincoln.
Stopped in with my wife during a recent shopping trip to Lincoln. I had slice of the local ( marinara sauce, bacon, hamburger, sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, black olives and mozzarella cheese ). It was absolutely delicious. The crust was cracker thin and cooked perfectly. The topping were plentiful and tasty. It was nice to get a pie without it being drowned in sauce, like most places do. My wife liked her slice od the Pacific ( marinara sauce, smoked ham, pineapple, green pepper, cream cheese and mozzarella cheese ) very much. This is the best pizza that I have had in Lincoln. Not a family place, more of a bar that serves very good pizza.
Great place to get thin pizza! You can try numerous different crusts and toppings. They also have a good selection of microbrews and is located on O street with a small amount of outdoor seating.
I loved the Greek pizza so much I had to come back to Yaiyai's while here on business. Tried another- the Polynesian- and fell in love with this one too. Spicy, sweet, awesome!

Outstanding!!!! One of the best pieces of pizza I have had in my 42 years on earth- and I've had pizza in the mother country.
Lady Yiayia. I enjoy Yiayia's Pizza...for the beer selection. Oh yeah, and the pizza. The pizza is pretty damn good. The reviews allude to a bland sauce, but I've never had an issue with blandness in my pizza choice here. I do tend to stick with a particular specialty pizza they have on the menu that I can't remember the name of. It has chicken, capers, and something else...maybe crack? It sure makes me want to keep eating and eating.
The salads are horrible, old, and wilting...and it's not a place you go to for the attentive service, but you really can't beat it for beer and pizza.
Superb beer selection and great pizza. Only wish there was more seating.
I wish this place was in Omaha. This is the best pizza place in Nebraska. I wish it was in Omaha so I could go there all the time. Live the wide variety of toppings and vegan options. Great atmosphere. Plan on visiting again ASAP!
Delicious New York style pizza right in the heart of Lincoln? Hells yeah! You order at the bar, find a table and they call your name when your pizza is ready. It's a cool place, the service is friendly, and the food is soooooo good! You can order by the slice in their special combinations or build your own. The Mediterranean had grilled chicken breast, olives, scallions, sliced toasted almonds, feta cheese and pesto. I was stuffed after only one slice, I ate every last morsel. But I also had a little taste of the Atlantic with bacon, broccoli, onions, and potatoes. I thought potatoes sounded weird on a pizza but it worked! I will definitely be adding Yiayias to my frequent eateries whenever I come to Lincon!
The pizza is delish. The atmosphere is so-so.
Awesome! I was just passing through Lincoln and didn't expect to find this hidden gem. Great beer selection, great pizza, great ambiance!
This is the ballinest pizza on planet erf, son. You want this up in your guts like every day.
I love how they have such delicious pizza and yet it can be so different from'regular' pizza. Their pacific is a favorite and the appetizers. Great friendly and funny service.
Excellent beer selection. Decent pizza
I'm from Seattle but have found myself in Lincoln every other week for the past couple of months. When in Lincoln I make sure to get to Yiayia's. Unparalleled beer selection from around the world. Excellent, crispy crust and fresh, flavorful toppings on the pizza. I'm a fan!
Good Slice. The American (jalapeno, corn, chicken) was really good. The music was so loud no one at our table was able to hear the conversation but we were just a few blocks from the University of Nebraska so they might be looking for a younger crowd. The selection of toppings is decent and the pizza crust was nicely cooked. I would recommend this place for a more unique pizza experience in Lincoln.
EXCELLENT!!!!!! Yiayia's is a local downtown restaurant with great homemade thin crust pizza. Pizza by the slice and pan. Build your own pizza/slice. Wide selection of beer from around the world. Food and drink is ordered at the bar. Open seating. Name is called when food is ready and picked up at the window. Very casual and fun. Highly recommened!!
Winning combinations. I love that the pizzas one can choose from are not your typical toppings or combinations. Keeps my pizza-eating interesting.
Just tends to be waaay too crowded sometimes.
Great bar in the middle of frat-ville. I can actually hear someone next to me. I love to get a Cech beer with a wacky pizza combo at lunch or at 10:30 at night
Is good because they have so many toppings to choose from... You can come up with unlimited combinations!
...it means grandma in greek!. Yiayia's is a classic hipster hangout in downtown lincoln. it has a fun aesthetic, with large posters on the walls, pool tables in the back and lots of great booths. it's a place where you sit around talking after you finish eating, and it usually has a fun, energetic feel because it's packed with loyal patrons.
yiayia's keeps it simple, limiting the menu to huge, toppings-heavy pizzas and good beer. they offer several eclectic specialty pizzas (meat heavy, vegan, weird for weird's sake...), and i've liked every one i've tried. some of their toppings will suit your tastes better than others, but if none of their house pizzas tickle your fancy, they'll help you build one from scratch just the way you like it.
yiayia's may be more notable for it's beer than for it's pizza. they have several interesting imports or micros on tap (these rotate so there's always something new to try), and every employee i've every spoken with seems to be a minor beer expert. they'll give you the rundown on the current beers, draw you samples, and help you decide what you'll like. yiayia's also has a huge collection of high-quality bottle beers. some of my friends (who brew their own beer) rave about these and sip them ever-so-slowly, cherishing every last drop like they're partaking of some delicious elixir of life. i don't know much about beer, so i'm happy the knowledgeable yiayia's bartenders are there to guide me toward an excellent bottle.
eating at yiayia's is more expensive than getting pizza from a chain, but they're reasonable. if you split a large pie and get a beer or two, you'll probably spend $10-15. any order comes with complimentary bread, which tends to be heavy, hard and flavorless. might as well save room for another beer or slice.
...hadn't been to Yia Yia's in awhile, so we stopped in for a slice. And then we found out about their new wheat crust pizza, thicker in nature.
