Love this place! They have had consistently great ice cream over all of the years that I've been going there! And they have done such a nice job renovating the inside and outside space! I highly recommend this place

This is the best and friendliest ice cream store in CT. The ice creams are superb, the owner and staff are terrific and the decor had been refreshed without spoiling the old fashioned and charming feel of the place. A must visit if you are ever in the Litchfield or Torrington area. They are also open year round so you can still get the best ice cream around even in the coldest months!

Delicious ice cream. We bought the 4 scoop sampler of pumpkin, cranberry walnut, peanut butter & chocolate and walnut praline. Four full sized scoops in a cardboard food tray was $10. Flavorful and creamy.!

We stopped at this place after a visit to Kent Falls state park. The place wasn't crowded at the time we visit. There were few folks enjoying the ice cream under shade. It's a nice treat on a hot day like today. I had a Nutella Hazel nut a kiddis size. It was okay. But my wife ordered the mud pie and it was far superior to what I had. So I would recommend that. I tasted the cashew ice cream too. It had chunks but it did lack the cashew taste. But overall the ice cream was creamy. And had a rich taste. I would recommend if you are in the area for a hot summer day.

The best ice cream I've ever had. I have driven past Arethusa to go to Peaches and Cream. The chocolate mousse is the chocolatiest chocolate ice cream I've ever had. The butter pecan tastes like pecans and butter. You eat it, you go "Oh THAT'S why they call it that, I've never tasted the butter before!" The raspberry tastes like raspberries. Because there are a ton of raspberries in it, probably. Every flavor is good there, and there are a lot of flavors. They make them all right there. You can get the usual assortment of cups and cones, sundaes, shakes and malteds. You can buy their own ice cream sandwiches and cakes; and you can get pints, quarts and half gallons to take home. There are a few indoor tables and chairs, and more outside. Prices have gone up but they are still pretty reasonable. It's about a 30 minute drive for me, and it's worth it every time.

We were happy to support this woman-owned small business. We tried praline caramel, peanut butter cup, cappuccino, orange sherbet, chocolate mousse, and seven other flavors - 7 Scoops in total - all amazing. Creamy, rich flavors. Simply delicious!

A quintessential and picturesque New England ice-cream shop with delicious ice-cream. Adorable building, classic ambiance, and excellent flavor options. I would efinitely recommend the peach ice-cream. 🥰 Prices are on par with other locally made ice cream shops. Generally between $4 - $10 for adult cones with extra toppings. I believe kids cones were $3-ish without toppings. There is a photo of the prices in the photos I posted. Decent amount of parking and outdoor seating, but I suspect it gets very busy midsummer. They also sell ice-cream cakes, floats, sundays, etc. 😊
