Best boardwalk style Hot Dogs! We started with a nice cold beer - I had blue moon and better half had Kona. For appetizer we shared fried zucchini with the horseradish sauce. It was hot, crunchy, and fresh. For the dogs, I had the Italian while he had the spicy jockey. They also have a kidβs menu. Service was great! We have been customers for years and will continue.

Stone throw away from Long Branch beach, the place is lighted and airy. The windows open up (literally).
Cocktails are worth it. Food is ok.
It is convenient if you are looking for a bite near the beach. Otherwise an average fare worth 3 stars.

Just watched this episode of kitchen nightmares. Never been here but am fimilar with a good hotdog. These hotdogs look like they come from Thumann's and if that's the case I guarantee all looks aside these dogs taste amazing!

Stopped here on a mini hot dog tour. Overall decent dogs not bad, but not great. We ate here right after Windmill, which is a tought act to follow. The place is very clean & the staff were nice. I would rate the hot dogs 3 stars but since we didn't have any of the other food, I will give it an overall 4 so as to damage the average rating for the place.
The food was AMAZING, and definitely up to par with the service. I believe my waitressβ and was Bridget and she was so nice and accommodating. I ordered one of the season specials the double smash burger with tomato and caramelized onions and it was delicious. If you are looking for a good spot to eat down on the shore, definitely check this spot! (Did I also mentioned they had live music when I came?)
Just so so. It's got a reputation but falls a little flat. Took the bartender advice and got the chicken sandwich. It was good but the fries were hard. You know that type of place where you get average American fair and wish you had gone somewhere else! That's Max's
I was going to my friends house at 2 pm but it was 12 pm and I couldn't wait . I was just about to pass Max's and pulled right in π. I've never been here before. What a cool place ( they have a tandem bike inside ) tons of pictures on the wall ππππ. A nice menu, tons to choose from π. I ordered a turkey burger π w/ fries absolutely delicious π. Highly recommended this place πππππ
Having started coming to Max's in 1969, and having moved away in the late 70's, I always enjoy cunning back when I'm on town. They totally changed the establishment but kept a part of the place full of nostalgia, and most importantly, kept the hot dogs!! Staff was so very nice and can't wait to return again

Great service, comfortable atmosphere, delicious food at reasonable prices. Daily drink and entree specials. Burgers are juicy, large, and tasty. Their truffle fries are the best, highly recommend. The sandwiches come with choice of fries or salad. If you get the salad instead of fries, you'll probably be surprised at how large it is- and it's not iceberg lettuce with a tomato! It's spring mix with carrots, cucumber, tomato, onion, and croutons. Max's is an enjoyable and worthwhile restaurant.
Maxβs is a Jersey Shore institution that has been part of family highlights on the beach for generations. They recently completely renovated the restaurant, which now features an industrial-style bar serving local craft beers from the area. Their foot-long hotdogs are still the centerpiece of the menu, along with fried mushrooms and fried zucchini. The menu now features a range of healthy options like salads and fancier choices like a lobster roll with homemade chips and a range of hotdog options with creative topping combos.
Nice hotdogs and a rich history. But good lord MK is a horrid person! I would keep her as far away from my business as possible.
This is such a solid restaurant to get some delicious hot dogs and burgers. I ended up getting both and they were amazing! You can finish off your meal with a nice walk on the nearby boardwalk which is a nice little perk!
This place is a absolute gem. Amazing appetizers. Hotdogs are out of this world. Definitely will be back.
Food is delicious, hot wings were amazing and of course the hot dogs. Love bringing my family here when we go down the shore.
