The place was very nice and cozy. Amazing service and food. I bought a Groupon deal for 4 and went there with kids. The have toys, board games and coloring pages for kids. We ordered traditional Greek dished and all of them were good. There was also house wine that went well with the food. The place is not very spacious but it makes you feel like home. Definitely coming back.
Simply Amazing! The pleasant ambience, great quality service at all time, very attentive personnel, and most importantly delicious food. Mediterranean based cuisine yet upscaled with a French touch up. It's a hipp/ fine-dining combo with very reasonable prices. Definitely different and worth trying!
Food was nice. But the service was okay. They didn’t really care about us even though we were the only table at that time. But food was nice. We got Salmon dish, the squash sauce with the salmon was delicious! I would come back to the restaurant one day.
The food here is amazing. The workers are even better. This whole experience here was great, I always recommend this place to everyone I know. The chef really knows how to make good tasting food. The deserts were to die for, and the prices weren’t bad either.

They had really good olive oil and balsamic vinegar with the free bread. I got the lamb Benedict, which I recommend.
Kavala was amazing. The co owner Lucian and server Adrian were absolutely great and very helpful. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. The food is to die for, we had the lamb ravioli, grill head on prawns, lamb duo and the whole grilled branzino. There was absolutely no left overs, not even left over garnishes. Perfect size portions, reasonable pricing for such great quality food.
Been here multiple times and will continue returning. The food is both scrumptious & rich in taste and surprisingly affordable. A rare combination in NYC. The seared tuna is a must. Service is fast and fun. Interior is a cozy and elegant mix of bar in the upper back and open dock feel in the front. A fun subtle sailing theme in the eclectic decorations and feel.
Food is amazing. Wine list is great. Everything I've had I love. Service is great.Price point is higher but that's never a problem for me if the food is worth it. I've been here multiple times despite not living close by.
This place is incredible. the service was one of the best ive ever had. the food took a little longer than usual but they made up for it with incredible service. they gave me a complimentary appetizer as well. the waiters were excellent and the food was amazing. will definitely be coming back here.

We've been passing this place by for a year now, and have been meaning to go back, and finally went. The positives are abundant: the food is pretty good (for LIC at least), service is super friendly, and the room is nice and bright. There's only one negative, and it's a pretty big one.. The place just needs to be cleaner! It's both easy and super hard to keep up cleanliness, but u just gotta do it at a small restaurant
Fantastic service and the food is divine. Simple, clean and thoughtful dishes. The space is so nicely done and made for a perfect late Thursday dinner. Nicely laid out with a bar in the back, candlelight, intimate and cozy. Don't skip dessert! The chocolate hazelnut baklava (not the typical drippy-too-sweet, in the best way) and cheesecake are everything. Especially loved the super fresh ingredients and liberal incorporation of vegetables into the dishes. Will definitely be back.
Wonderful service and food. The lamb and scallops were incredibly good. Wish we could go back but we are tourists. I have never given a review before for a restaurant and I've been to many before. Highly recommended!
Great atmosphere and amazing food, the roasted chicken may be the best thing on tbd menu! The staff is so nice and welcoming, the chef even came out to say hi and ask how the food was, plus the bar area was perfect for a drink with a few friends after dinner, can't wait to come back!
First time here, 3/1/18 with my wife, and it was good. The owner came by our table and spoke to us, made us feel at home. Good food & good atmosphere too. Will be back.
The servers at Kavala are always a PLEASURE they are so kind and attentive during your whole meal. The lamb ravioli app is a MUST and the lamb dinner is also amazing. This time I also tried the filet which was cooked very well and the lemon potatoes are unique and delicious. The streaming music videos make it a fun laid back atmosphere yet the food and the wine is next level. MUST TRY if in LIC. Love my neighborhood ❤️. Thanks Kavala!
