This restaurant was a church so the interior was very detailed and beautiful. The drinks were ok. For appetizers, we liked the Parker roll with the date butter and chicken liver mousse. Not a fan of the Chawanmushi as there were many flavors and textures that did not go well together. The lamb belly and pork chops were tender and flavorful.

This was an amazing dining experience. The food was absolutely one of the best meals I've ever had. The atmosphere was very enjoyable and the open roof to see the sky really set the vibe. Top notch drinks and food perfected. 5/5 going again.

Friendly staff, delicious food and a beautiful atmosphere! I went there for brunch and had a wonderful experience. We ordered lattes, pastries, and two entrees. Everything was delicious! The restaurant is on the grounds of a Catholic church. They gave us a tour and it was unbelievably gorgeous. If you haven't gone, you should go :)

I came here for my birthday to have brunch! It’s such a cute a place! The modern mimosa is so refreshing and light! The shrimp and grits were good, but I wasn’t a fan of the red sauce under the grits. Bacon was superb. I definitely want to come back, but for dinner time or drinks.

Came here on a Saturday at 10:15, booked earlier the same morning, and wasn’t too busy at all but it did start to get busier whilst we were there. Our server was lovely and gave us recommendations which were already the few we were torn between. I got the short rib hash and my partner got the basque eggs which was essentially a shakshuka with pulled short rib in it, both were absolutely delicious and a good portion size without feeling stuffed afterwards. The modern mimosa is a must try, we were slightly confused when it arrived as it just looked like a glass of champagne but it was clarified orange juice, and was delicious! Definitely recommend it here and will come back to try the other brunch dishes too.

We had a very enjoyable dining experience. We ordered the Crudo, everything parkwr roll with date jam, shishito peppers, salmon, pork chops, and the bbq Tofu. Everything we had were very delicious, especially the Cruso. Our server and the sommelier were very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and the wine selection.

Wow. Incredible wine list, insanely reasonable prices (1974 California Zinfandel and 1981 Vouvray demi-sec), outstanding food, gracious service.

This is an absolute dining experience with an amazing ambiance and delicious food. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. Flawless service and certainly a place to enjoy a date night out our simply indulge in taking it all in. The location is in the heart of downtown Los Angeles and this is also a perfect place for special events and company functions to celebrate any festivities or achievements. I highly recommend this place. Don't miss this while you are in LA!

Outstanding. Avocado salad, roasted fig and appetizer, scallops, sea bass- all excellent. Beautiful building. Walked to the Ahmanson Theatre after dinner.

I assume that I choose this restaurant to celebrate my bday not for the food but for their interior design. However, I was surprised in a very good way ! The food tastes so good, like an explosion of flavors very balanced. Hands down as one of the best restaurants in LA. It is pricey for my pockets but worth it. The interior is also amazing! Everything very thought out with different sitting and atmosphere. The only things I would say is that I was expecting more details for the lighting design. But, overall, beautiful!!!

Service was fine, but the group wait-staff cover table method means everyone has to experience the worst server. That might work for bussing, but it isn’t optimal for waiting. Food was good. My steak was over cooked and the burger at the table underdone. Lobster and grits enjoyed by all. The signature blueberry ricotta pancake was good but needs more flavor inside and ricotta reminded us of the Italian desserts we don’t love. Best dish, beautiful to the eye and the tastebuds was the Salmon savory Tartine. Picture included

Super trendy and (thankfully) super friendly spot. I love how they are fancy and yet laid back at the same time. It was fun to order dishes and share them. My pork chop was really, really tasty.

Food was very good. Sea Bass was solid, although it was cooked a little harder than I would have assumed it would be. The sides were great, Brussel sprouts and the avocado salad were very good. Did not enjoy the Parker Rolls, thought the seeds on the bread did not complement the date butter. The service was so-so. I will admit, my party was larger than normal - 9 of us, which can be challenging. Waiter was not worth the 20% tip. He was not attentive and when 3 drinks that were purchased from the bar were added to the table bill, he was less than concerned or helpful. I would go back, but with a smaller party.

A gastronomic spread with a vibrant atmosphere can lead nowhere but to heaven. Redbird supplied some of the best fare one can experience in the Downtown Los Angeles area at a reasonable price given the quality of the food. For appetizers, my party of four ordered, the shishito peppers, the beef tartare and the chaawanamushi. The standouts are the delicate, yet crunchy shishito peppers and the well-balanced beef tartare with a seaweed crisp. Plating was lovely as well. For entrees, we had the scallops, truffle pasta, and the California Seabass. The scallops were spiked to perfection which was ovvamponied with a wonderful purée and squash. The truffle pasta was a table knockout with its pungent umami flavor and vibrant oyster mushrooms; that was an unforgettable dish. Finally, the California Seabass has a crunchy and crispy exterior with a firm yet succulent interior texture. The deserts were also delicious however it was slightly too sweet. The bowl of cereal and the halo halo were nice accompaniments, while I imbibed on the rare character spirit. Not to be missed- the cocktails(partícula the maple lead) led to some rave reviews as did others. Service was courteous, however, the array of various faces is slightly confusing. Finally, we were initially seated with a check still on the table and a liquid spill unattended to on the bench. Once staff was informed, they quickly sat us at another table, of which I am appreciative. I look forward to returning in the future.
