Different way to eat hand rolls and I never want to eat one another way. I really was never into hand rolls but I am now, as long as I can go to KazuNori. We waited in line and it was worth it. I highly recommend this place.
Perfectly made handrolls. The restaurant is like a bar style look. Its not a large restaurant, best come odd time like 2pm to 5pm to avoid the crowd.
I love this place - have been here 3x in the last year and enjoyed the food every time. Great service. The lobster roll makes me shed a tear.
Bay Scallop roll and Yellowtail roll are my favorites ! So good
Amazing sushi, sort of a wait but its worth it! Plus great service
These are the best hand rolls I've ever had! The line moves quickly and the service is amazing!
Blue crab roll was
Delicious. Fast. Great service. We will be returning.

Secretly our favorite place on the block... SHHHHHHH!!!!!
Delish!! We will be back for sure! Just wish they would open one in studio city! ;) we would be there alllll the time if they did ;)
Wow, what an excellent restaurant! The sushi is simply amazing, and you can taste its freshness in every bite. We ordered 5 different rolls, and each one was delicious and impressively unique. The atmosphere was very pleasant, even though it was a lovely day to dine outdoors. We truly enjoyed every moment and highly recommend it!
Nice Hand Rolls
It’s Tuesday afternoon. It’s a good day to have some hand rolls and they did not let me down. There weren’t many ppl in, so it’s cool to have some space for myself. The menu was easy to understand with their sets and drinks. I ordered 5 rolls and toro sashimi. They were all good!
Got the Nozie set. Hand rolls were amazing. Rice was sweet and vinegary. Probably one of the best rice at a sushi place. The Toro hand roll was by far my favorite. There was no wait-list, so you have to stand in line. We waited almost 50 minutes to get in but worth it.
The prices on the hand rolls are not bad. Quality is not bad, but it is a little sad that they use bay scallops and not the bigger Hokkaido ones like other places. Crab with the Mayo did not work that well. It needed more special sauce as opposed to just mayo. A little overhyped for this place. But still worth it to try.
Came for the first time after hearing so many good things about this place from my son. We decided to come here to celebration my son’s graduation.
We came on a weekend and the line was long but fast. The dining concept is simple, grab a menu and seat down and tick off what you want. For the indecisive eater like me, the menu has 3/4/5/6 set dinner and a drink list.
Four of us tried from 3 to 6. We all felt full. The crispy seaweed and warm rice with the fresh fish are perfect combination for a great sushi dining experience.
Service was friendly and efficient. That’s why the wait was not too long despite the long line.
You can park in the garage next door or on the street.
I thought I experienced great sushi many times, in many parts of the world, but as soon as I set foot in KazuNori, I knew if was in for a real treat.
The simplicity of which this sushi bar is designed allows direct serve of your order, as well as full direct view of the preparation.
If you thought you had sushi handrolls before, prepare to be astonished on how KazuNori does handrolls.
To start, the rice they use is simply amazing. Each handroll is made with warm rice, which is a welcome surprise. They go thru the rice so quickly it does not get a chance to really cool down. The contract between the rice and the fish in your handroll, along with the crispness of the seaweed itself is simply heavenly.
The fish itself is beyond incredible and simply melts in your mouth. I started with Salmon, which tasted unlike any salmon I had before, then has the bay scallop roll, which was insanely amazing, followed by the shrimp which is prepared chopped and was ever so amazing! My top favorite was the monkfish which blew my tastebuds out. It was sweet and textured I had to try another which was even better the second time around.
Without a doubt, KazuNori will be on my top sushi list when visiting LA and it should be on yours too.
Run don’t walk!
The hand rolled sushi was amazing!!! I have a best friend whom was raised in Japan for the 1st 14 yrs of her life & the food was just as awesome as her homemade rolls. My favorite was the Bay Scallop Hand Roll and the cucumber rolls. We also enjoyed the salmon, lobster, crab, and Yamaimo (potatoe) hand rolls. Hands down, the best in town! Wish they had a bigger space; they do have take-out though. The only downside was the limited space 😕
No decent pictures because we ate everything right away. Yep, it was that good! Everything we ordered came in hot, tasty and all the seafood were SUPER FRESH.
We ordered the 6 hand roll set plus two additional orders of eel and shrimp. No more pictures for the 3 add-on orders because at that point we were just enjoying our meal. This is the happy kind of bloated that I will always like hehe.
Will definitely go back to this place! Thanks, KazuNori. 🍣
Best experience of LA for us so far. $27 base price (+16% mandatory expense) for 6-hand roll set. All of them were fantastic with real fish and delicious fresh rice and seaweed. Ginger and water were kept topped up. Very nut allergy friendly.
Best sushi ever. I love it! The staff is always on point it’s quick and straightforward. The menu items are always fresh and delicious and the quality of fish is absolutely incredible.
A must try!
Still as good as I remember it.
Prices raised a little bit and sometimes there is a line around the place.
Quick service, spent 30 mins tops there.
These photos are okay but the experience was incredible!
5 hand-roll set..salmon sashimi and an extra lobster roll as well hehe 😅
Warm rice and cold fish, crispy nori so fresh served immediately
Very pleased by the service.
Something quick and light. Come!
Fish was fresh. Rice was nice and warm. The Nori was still crispy when you get the roll. Bar seating with instant service. Really good experience for the price. If you're looking for an assortment of hand rolls, they have set menus which provide better value for their top sellers.
Food was Fresh af, Service was amazing, and please try the Green Tea 🍵 it’s amazing 🤩
Thank you for feeding me.
You know what? I get it. I understand why so many people laud this place as having the best hand roll in town and having the chef prepare it right in front of you was something to marvel at. This place elevated a simple Japanese stable into something better: art. I started off with the the uni hand roll(a seasonal option) and was absolutely floored, the buttery taste left me wanted more, but at $14, I was out. I then proceeded to have the 5 course hand roll meal for $23, and was left completely satisfied. It can get busy so arrive early. Also, be aware that you will be sitting next to some strangers in an enclosed place, but staff was diligent in checking everyones' vaccination card and ID. The standouts were the: crab, lobster, toro, yellow tail, scallops(IT"S ALL GOOD)! I'll definitely be returning.
One of the best sushi spots in Downtown LA. Fresh fish, ingredients and made right in front of you.
Don’t expect elaborate rolls, just a basic menu with excellent flavor. No eel sauce, just soy sauce, ginger and wasabi…boom
Be aware that there’s no reservations and it’s walk in only, so expect a wait on peak times.
Today we got a unique experience of the Japanese kitchen. and it blows up my mind!
It is the best sushi in my life for sure!
I love the vibe, I love the style, and I am absolutely in love withe the taste of Every bite!!! 🤍
I definitely recommend this place for all fish lovers!
Best hand roll joint I’ve been to! Always so fresh and so full of flavor. Love the subtle touch of adding “warmed” fish to these rolls… brings out different edges of flavor that aren’t typical to a conventional sushi experience. Love this place!
