Breakfast with the family was wonderful! The staff and our waiter were polite and utterly professional, not to mention fast. Food was delicious and arrived faster than I anticipated. Since my kids were well behaved at the place it's a sign to go again. No cheesy, poppy music playing ether which I absolutely love. Definitely planning on going for the late night meal!

This was my second visit to Fred's and we wanted to try the late night menu this time. We ended up taking to go. While I ordered and waited the server was wonderful. Attentive, friendly, and keep me updated on the status of my order. We ordered the chicken and waffles and mac and cheese. We drove back to Irvine and ate. The food was still really good. I would recommend eating there next time rather than waiting so long to eat. We will be back for sure.

I've been coming to Fred's 62 since the 90's and it still remains one of my favorite late night places. I always stop by on my late night uber/Lyft breaks when I'm in the area. I love the neighborhood and the outside seating make it easy to have my pup join me. Great menu, never boring always eclectic.

Went there on Thanksgiving by default because the other Restaraunt we wanted to go to was closed. They had great vegetarian/ vegan options and I chose East of Eden salad that the waitress , Monty highly recommended and she was right! My salad was delicious. My brother and mom had the traditional turkey plate dinner with the works and the said it was great as well. We ordered the 50/50 fries and man, I could've just eaten that and been happy. The staff was happy to be there even though they weren't at home with their relatives and we were seated right away. I didn't feel rushed and we were well taken care of! We/ I will be back and will bring people. I checked in to Fred 62 on FB and got a lot of likes, people who used to live here miss Fred 62 and commented on my post. Much love to Fred 62, look forward to coming back ️

It was a great atmosphere with cheerful, excellent service, even though it was around 1 a.m. Also notable, that it was packed! Wait and bus staff were on the ball and had great attitudes! We had just decided to leave nearby Denny's, as despite being very sparsely inhabited, no one had yet to greet us after about 15 minutes and normally we'd be more patient but we were starving. This was not a problem at 62! The food was delicious and I hope they never change the vintage 60's decor!

I love Fred 62. Even tho there’s no more Blue Wedgie salad on the menu. The food is still fab. Little pricey for frequent trips but that’s what makes it special I guess. Don’t get to go there too often. But when I do I am always glad I made the special trip out

One of my fav diner in Los Feliz, Los Angeles. I had the turkey sandwich with French fries. It was freshly prepared and tasted so good. I also recommend the sweet potatoes fries!

Amazing is our simple review. The environment, the food, the staff. Everything felt good while we were here. The price is decent and they provided more than enough food for one meal as we both took home left overs. We would definitely go back!

Never a bad meal. Good food prepared better than usual! The service is warm and perfunctory. A good place to relax, chat with friends, and share some great diner staples.

I had a lovely breakfast with my husband. The food was delicious and coffee good. Service was very good as well. The only unfortunate thing are the prices.

First time here and absolutely LOVELY! No wait time, food was delicious. I had the breakfast burrito and side of hash browns. The hash browns were perfectly crispy.

Lovely food choices served quickly. The best food I've had in LA..with hot food served in a hot plate so it doesn't go cold in 2 minutes. Very courteous staff and classic pop music playing in the background. Perfect place.

About 12 midnight after a concert and food was scrumptious 😋. Was about a 10 min wait but service with a smile! Love this place!

Perfect diner option with wide menu variety, and a good mix of old & new favorites. Try the Punk Tarts, an upclassed toaster pastry with fresh fillings.

Great neighborhood spot on a corner with a lot of vintage character. I came late after an evening out and ordered the burger which was decently sized, and the fries it came with were classic shoestring - crispy and perfectly seasoned. I also ordered the mozzarella sticks and those were tasty also. Portions were large enough for the price and the service seemed efficient for how busy it was inside. Sitting at the bar is by far the quickest seating option. Be prepared to wait over an hour for a table during the late night rush. I will definitely keep this spot in mind to try their breakfast/brunch next.

This place has the kindest staff I’ve experienced in LA!! Genuinely kind, welcoming, and they seem to care about giving you a great customer experience. Which sounds like it should be the standard but is NOT the case at many places around here. The food is also good — I’ve tried several things on the menu and am happy every time. It’s diner food so you should know what to expect, but even with that being said, they do “diner food” well!!

Such a nice find. I'd been going to other places for a while, but my girlfriend and I decided this will be our go to spot from now on. Servers are very attentive and care about creating a good experience. Their homemade breads are so good!

I've never lived near Fred 62 but have literally decades of good memories eating here when I've been in the neighborhood. Not much has changed (except on the list latest visit the toasters were gone from the tables. I mean I've never used a toaster at a restaurant but have always loved the kitsch of it.) There's a lot of purposeful kitsch here and you either dig it or you don't. (I do.) I especially love the extensive vegetarian menu. I mean no less than 3 kinds of veggie burgers, always good french fries, and that Bearded Mr. Frenchy (cornflake encrusted French Toast...YUM! My wife dug her Carrot Ginger Bisque. I was okay with the Boss Mac n' Cheese. (Which actually may have been too cheese if that's even possible.) Our kid liked his "No Animal" burger. We left sated and maybe even comforted. I hope Fred 62 stays here forever...it's nice to have a neighborhood joint with comfort food galore. (Even if it's not my neighborhood.

The “Bearded Mr. Frenchie” which is essentially French toast covered in corn flakes is, hands down, the best french toast I have had anywhere. It’s the perfect amount of doughy and crunchy and the taste is sweet but not too sweet. If you like your french toast with maple syrup, then opt for real maple syrup for the extra $2 so you’re not ruining the french toast with cheap maple syrup. I used to live in Los Feliz and get it all the time. Now when I’m in town, I must stop by to enjoy it.

Eggs Squared / 2 over-easy eggs, sourdough toast, hash browns - 5 🌟! '76 Dodge Charger square slice / pepperoni, sausage, fennel - 5 🌟! Fred 62 is a diner hybrid concept that's been around for a while now. They are experts at serving classics in fun, new ways. When I stopped by I was craving breakfast but also was intrigued by their square pizza slices so I wound up with both! I missed out on a mashup dish but a lot of the menu items looked very interesting. I've had their brisket hash before and it's great. They have nice outdoor seating in a walkable area of Los Feliz. Parking is a bit tricky in this area but I live close by and just walked over. They have weekend brunch menu items that are interesting. The overall ambience is retro diner.

We go here because there is plenty of outdoor seating and it's easy to bring our little puppy. The food is excellent - I highly recommend their biscuits and gravy. It's incredible. Always friendly and helpful service and easy atmosphere. I love the newly added covered outdoor seating in the back.
