What happened, is this place still open? Came here 3 different times to get the best hummus that LA has to offer and they were closed but the google says they were open. What happened? Have they really shut down for real?

Better quality than other kosher shwarma places. I really liked the quality, portion, and variety salads they have. Will come back and definitely will bring more people.

Have been coming here for a number of years. Food has always been great. Chicken pargiot on laffa is a must. Hummus plate is divine as well. Recommended.

Great Israeli food. Good service. Tables, chairs and bathroom have all seen better days but passable. Sidewalk seating available.

I was in town visiting & got the falafel pita & it was sooo good. The flavor is packed in there, the textures are fabulous. This is the best Israeli/kosher food I’ve gotten since coming back from Israel last summer. Highly recommend!(:

Great Place for Kosher/Israeli Food in the city! When you order, it is like in Israel where they give you Fresh Pita & a variety of dipping sauces. We got the Pargiot Plate, Chicken Schnitzel Plate & Chicken Shawarma for four people and was definitely more than enough! Favorite was the Chicken Shawarma!

First of all you wouldn’t excpect how huge it is inside and very cool dark wood interior and plenty of seating for large family and/or friend dinners and lunches! (They also do takeout but unsure about delivery) Ok so the food is absolutely spectacular and done with amazing I’m pretty sure fresh ingredients I got the chicken breast bowl which came with so many amazing little sides! The freshly toasted bread was to die for I only wish it came with rice as well but no biggie! Also you have to say yes when they ask if you want their hot sauce (that is if you like spicy lol) But seriously not just spicy but sooo flavorful, they have 2 different kinds And best of all, all the workers are soo nice and helpful! I will totally come back when in Melrose Ave

One of the best falafels I have had. The chicken shawarma is good but not great. The toppings look fresh. The seating area is nice and clean and the pricing is more than fair.

This place has incredibly delicious food; let's start with that. I came here for lunch the other day and ordered the chicken shawarma plate and four pieces of falafel. My meal came with a small plate of sides (a kind of slaw with red cabbage, pickles, beets and carrots), pita bread and hummus, a salad, and rice. Suffice it to say, this was a SUBSTANTIAL meal. To start, the falafel at Ta-eem was some of the best I've had in a long time. The outside was nice and crispy and crunchy, and the inside was moist, soft, flavorful and had a great texture; not too grainy, but also not too mushy. As for the side dishes, it wasn't that they were bad, but I just wasn't particularly fond of them (except for the red cabbage slaw). The red cabbage slaw was delicious and I loved it. Looking back on it now, if I knew how much I'd like it, I would've asked for more of it in lieu of the other sides. The main meal - the shawarma with rice, salad, hummus and pita bread - had a great balance in terms of what was served on the plate. Everything complimented each other very well. The salad was vibrant and refreshing, the hummus was full of flavor and not too thick or runny, and the chicken was well-seasoned without the meat being overpowered by other flavors. I only had two very minor criticisms of this plate, which were that the rice was a bit under-seasoned and a tad over-cooked, and that the chicken was just a little too dry and cut up into too small pieces. Beyond that, the entire meal was simply delicious and very satisfying. In total, including tip, the meal cost me a little under $25, which was a great bargain considering the amount of food they gave me. Would I come back again? Yes. Would I recommend this place to friends? Definitely. Not only was the food good, but the service was very professional and expeditious, and the environment was warm and welcoming to the customers.

Good food, fast service. Simple menu but I needed them to explain patriot and patriot steak. The latter is one big piece, former is?small bites.
