Awesome Mexican spot! Especially love their breakfast tacos. We stopped by around 10a on a Sunday before the brunch rush and there was plenty of outdoor seating. Bonus: Great coffee and oat milk!

I’m not into Tex-Mex, yet i find myself eating here quite regularly. Hmmm… must be the delicious food and drinks! Plus my dog loves the attention she gets here. Love the queso, Frito pie, and vegetarian tacos. And of course the palomas :) Not into eggs myself, but there are a ton of options if you are. The los feliz location near me is smaller than Highland Park and Atwater, but still delicious.

"possibly the best tacos in LA" - my vegetarian GF with 6 years LA cred. The brisket is their best meat hands down. Tijuana Panther for life. No meat? The potatoes/breakfast are the move. 3-4 tacos are generally a sizable meal. The salted cchip cookie is fantastic.

Solid spot, and especially worth it if there is no wait, both in line and for a table. Their chicken taco (non-breakfast item) is probably my most favorite thing on their menu, and I also like their bottled oj and arnold palmer. The red salsa > green salsa, and their queso is pretty solid. I ordered the dark chocolate chip cookie with sea salt, and it was just the right amount of sweetness, not too sweet. Parking can be limited, as there is no lot - only street metered parking.

homestate is the cutest little taco shop in Los feliz! What’s amazing is they have an all day breakfast taco menu and that’s what I had to get and they were delicious! I got the trinity and neches breakfast tacos which were both amazinggg Allen and dan are both amazing and very helpful $5 shiner bock beers definitely gives this place props! (No happy hour needed!) Ohh don’t forget $2 chips I love how even though it’s small they have a little bar area and seriously just love this place, definitely coming back for sure!

Picked up breakfast tacos for the work crew for a Christmas Eve treat today and everyone loved it. I’m always happy to introduce you guys to anyone because the response is always a great one. Home State for the Christmas win!

Pecos - brisket, eggs / 5 🌟! Guadalupe - chorizo, eggs, cheddar / 5 🌟! Trinity - bacon, eggs, potatoes, cheddar / 5 🌟! I went to HomeState after a big hike and it hit the spot! Every ingredient was fresh. The eggs are a standout, light and fluffy. So tasty. All three breakfast tacos were very tasty. I added the house made green and red salsas as well. Honestly a great breakfast taco spot (they have non breakfast tacos that I assume are as tasty).

I had amazing quesadillas here. Truly the best. Good Tex Mex in California - coming from a Texan :)

I visited Hollywood for a day out (on foot) and this place looked good as the last stop before catching the train back. It didn't disappoint. Everything about the taco was great, flour to filling. The service was great and the staff were extremely friendly. It isn't in a busy part of town so the establishment has a nice and relaxed vibe. Reasonably priced too.

I was not expecting breakfast tacos to be this good. High quality, great value, surprisingly filling and delicious to the max. Highly recommend you go out of your way for this.

Excellent tacos. Definitely try the house made flour tortillas. The seasonal iced teas also really worth trying. Breakfast tacos are excellent, including the ones with eggs/beans and the brisket taco.

Wow, the food was good. I am a bit upset I didn't take pictures, but oh well. I ordered 3 chicken tacos with flour tortillas, and I couldn't finish them. There were four of us with drinks and came out to 70.00, but we'll be worth it and can't wait to visit again. It will definitely be a must-have for every time we are in town.

This was our second HomeState, after our first time in Pasadena. The staff were super attentive, food came out fast and it was nice to sit indoors with air conditioning on a hot summer day. This is a lot smaller so if you visit with a large party, you may not be able to sit together. Food was not *quite* as good as in Pasadena but I can’t put my finger on why. We’d still go back and/or try another location!

Dessert first! Get the salted chocolate chip cookie and have it while you wait for your tacos. Cold brew is great as well as the tacos. You get both green and red sauce which is tasty and fun to add to your tacos. There is joy in peeling off the label and unwrapping these tasty gems.

The food is so delicious! We’re obsessed with their Lonestar Migas and Chicken Quesadillas. Prices are very fair and there’s a cute outdoor seating area.

Amazing breakfast tacos served all day made with handmade flour tortillas. Wishing I had some right now! The Pecos brisket and egg taco was particularly tasty. I highly recommend!

Hole in the wall style restaurant with excellent Tex Mex food. 2 Tacos per person is ideal and you can add one more depending on hunger level. We tried Chicken, Potatoes, Emo(Vegan) and trinity. The Trinity is a breakfast style taco eith egg, bacon and cheese. All the tacos were delicious. We paired it with Tepache which took it to another level.
