Had the most amazing Duck and egg dish might have been a special I don’t see it anywhere.. amazing work there. My gf got the coconut cream pie pancakes which were not only filling af but delicious thicc and soft.. bloody Mari went well with everything
Cute cafe next to the iconic old church. The seating is outdoors but covered so the atmosphere is very nice. The menu has great selection of both savory and sweet options, and the coffee is great
Saw long queue outside the shop from my hotel room, prompted me to give it a try.
The shop on open few hours a day and close by 1:30-2pm.
Overall, will rate the food slightly above average at the price . One of the very few shops with foods served not too sweet neither too salty, it taste just nice .
Had their Ghirardelli hot chocolate , the best hot chocolate I had in LA & Minnesota so far . Stronger chocolate taste and less sweet (requested less syrup).
Good lunch option, full of people during lunch, which says it’s popular. The chashu hash was recommended, similar to a sweet sour pork dish. I had the chocolate banana, Pancakes which ere really good, fluffy and filling.
My chicken burrito was very bland as was the faux Frenchman - toasted croissant with shaved ham, scrambled eggs, avocado, sliced tomato, cheddar, Dijon mustard. Just clear they don’t use any seasoning for eggs.
One server seating everyone outside and handling the incoming customers to wait and he was efficient and friendly. Payment is done via phone.
Please do reservation before coming here as it gets very busy. Delicious EVERYTHING!! We didnt know about the reservations(hehehe) but the staff was great and helping with anything we needed. Must do location
I came into this place about 4 months ago and it was very high quality. It was very clean and modern.
You order everything digitally, without the waitress. With that in mind, they will check up on you from time to time to see if you need anything.
I ordered one of the Japenese coffees, which tasted very good. For food, i ordered the porky omurice. It tasted pretty good and was quite filling.
The place is quite pricey so keep that in mind. Like I mentioned before though, it is high quality.
I was seated outside, which was a very lovely area.
Overall, this place was pretty good.
Regular place with huge portions of pancakes, but no service, metal chairs and zero atmosphere. Food was delicious, especially pancakes, but I have no idea why I have to pay more than average for QR code menu and no servers.
My friend introduced me to JiST cafe and I absolutely enjoyed the food. Big proportions and the flavor is soooooo good. Fast service and appropriate waitlist wait times.
Super nice staff and laid back setting.Their food was displayed super cute ! Everything was made fresh and was nicely seasoned- I can’t wait to come back💕
They have a yelp wait-list. Ordering is done by QR code at your table. You complete the order online and tip before they bring anything out. Strawberry Dream was really yummy and refreshing but the cup was completely full of ice cubes. Egg Coffee was good. Lucky Ducky was pretty unique. They only provide plastic utensils so it was a little hard to cut the scallion pancake with the plastic knife. There were a lot of duck pieces and two eggs. Fancy French is French toast using creme brulee batter which was so good! 10/10 would come again. Just bring your own water if you need that. Their water smelled a little off.
Brunch was delicious! The duck was perfect but the leches pancake was the star!! The loaded tots were also really good!!
Ordering from our phones didn’t work but sounded convenient
Pancakes were crazy, the porky rice or whatever was just okay, the tater tots with the steak egg and a that jazz, fire. Bacon great chicken sausage good drinks good too . Hole in the wall always my favorite
Holy f**k.
We moved into the neighborhood and had to quickly find breakfast before going to work for the day. We swung by this place and order the Cashu Hash (my spelling might be off).
It was superb! Best pork I've ever tasted. Complimented the potato crunch texture.
I recently brough a party of 17 to JiST cafe for breakfast and appreciated the cafe being able to accommodate us and put togethers together on the patio so that we could all sit together. The coffee and food was extremely delicious and everyone kept saying how much they enjoyed their meal!

Seriously some of the best french toast I've ever had. Wow. I wish the cheese was cooked into the eggs instead of being placed on top. They weren't doing dine in when I came but take out wasn't a problem since my hotel was less that a block away
Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, beautiful food presentation. The food tastes great and there's a variety of options.
I got one tres leche pancake and the cafe cado. I only ate half of the pancake, the portions are very big but great price for the amount. My only recommendations is to cook the food for longer (my dish was slightly undercooked and the cauliflower in the Angeleno veggie scramble was slightly undercooked as well.
We came here early on a Sunday morning and already the parking situation was a nightmare. Parking is just hard to come by in DTLA. Luckily, though, the restaurant itself wasn't busy and it didn't fill up completely for a while. You grab a table first, then order what you want at the counter and pay. They bring the order to your table but you have to get up to the service station to get things like cream and sugar.
We ordered a pot of Earl Grey Cream. They use a bottom dispensing tea infuser, which was cool. You just place the infuser on top of your cup and it drains out into your cup. The Earl Grey Cream was fantastic, one of the best loose leaf teas I've ever had.
Their Chashu Hash Skillet was excellent but heavy on the sauce, so I do highly recommend getting the white rice. Even then, there was just so much that I had to take half of it home just because there wasn't even rice to eat it with that much sauce. I wasn't a fan of the potatoes. They tasted a little stale, which was even worse as leftovers.
I was super disappointed in the Lucky Ducky. It was way too dry. Honestly, I had yet to have anyone do duck the right away, except for the Chinese. Especially when it's roasted BBQ or Peking duck, you gotta go Chinese or Sam Woo BBQ.
My sister-in-law got the pancakes. They were huge and even though she finished the whole thing, she wasn't impressed with them. Oh, well. Service was spot on. Our server kept coming back to check on us. Overall, great place.
Don't be a hater is place is great! I can't stand people that give good places low stars! Say something!!!!! If you don't like something speak up! After that, if they don't fix it or say sorry then give me a bad experience review.
Anime expo Sunday, to lazy to walk far, I yelped this place which had food reviews.
Located in little Tokyo, the entrance looks like a small shop, essentially it must have been at one point. Really right inside where you order but they have a cute wooden deck outside. Not the best tables, a little wobbly but so what.
Ordered the huge breakfast burrito and strawberry shortcake pancakes, iced coffee and mimosas. $44. Feed 3 people.
We still weren't able to finish the pancakes.
They were soo fluffy and delicious. The prefect sweetness. Fresh strawberries and whipped cream on the top.
The burrito was literally gigantic! Nothing special, anyone can make it at home but it was good.
Service was ok, it's like a pay first, grab a number, sit down and eat kinda place.
Get up get your own water and sauces etc.. the mimosa was good and worth $9, served in a small mason jar instead of a weenie champagne glass lol.
If I'm ever in the area I'd eat here again.
