Probably the best taquitos I’ve eaten. They made them fresh and fried them them right in front of me. A tiny place with some seating inside and some bar seats outside right in front of the cook. Very friendly. I heard restaurant had been here for over 80 years. Check it out on Olvera Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Cheese tamales and potato tacos al fresco. Odd phrasing, but nothing awkward about eating this great meal while standing outside watching the nearby festivities celebrating Mexican Independence Day. Fresh ingredients and an expert touch make the simplest foods a dream come true. Speedy and friendly service here too.

Best Authentic Mexican food in Southern California. "Only Improvement Could use thick n chunky Guacamole". Service is great and they're very busy, yet attentive to their customers. Atmosphere is very nice. It's Olvera Street

Opens early! Food is decent and service is pleasant. It’s on the inside of of the Olvera St. walk. On this street with many choices this place puts out consistent fare at a reasonable price. Tried some chilaquiles and did not disappoint. It’s in a nice little space and some counter spots too. It does get busy and might be a wait. This is a walk only street and plenty of parking choices nearby or public transit. Recommend if in this area.

Really yummy. I got the birria plate along with some chips. The salsas at the table were delicious. No complaints. Our server didn't speak english, but that's okay, just something to note and be prepared for.

On Earth Day I traveled to Union Station LA via Metrolink, walked to Olvera Street for breakfast, I ordered the machaca it came with rice and beans and corn tortillas, great taste and good salsas, worth a visit when at Olvera Street.

It's literally a whole in the wall type of place which makes this place so unique. We picked this place over the other neighboring restaurants because it was so cute and felt like Mexico. The food was good, fair pricing. It was an especially hot day so it was too cozy for my liking, but we couldn't pass up the genuine experience of it all.
