I was waiting for Flo to pop out and scream "kiss my grits!" This place was the bomb. Old school local art dealer introduced us to this place and it did not disappoint. See ya soon Nick's!
I don't usually write reviews, but I enjoyed my breakfast here so much that I had to share my experience. I ordered the house coffee and a regular French toast with scrambled eggs and sausage. Everything was delicious. The French toast was nice and thick, and you could tell that it has been soaked a long time in the egg batter before it was cooked. The eggs were fresh, light and fluffy. Not greasy at all. The sausage was nicely spiced, and tasted great dipped in the maple syrup. Finally, the service was exceptional. I never had to wait for coffee refills, and my server came to check on me regularly. I highly recommend Nick's for a quick, delicious breakfast.
Delicious & relaxing. Nick is a truly happy man and it shows in his staff & food. Yummy!
Family owned old style diner. Totally a find - love the food (great diner fare), the decor (totally old school) and the service (friendly and fast).
Great people, great food!. It's a family run coffee shop and they serve great food. I've only gone for breakfast and man do you get bang for your buck. Generous portions made with love. The breakfast potatoes, that isn't the hash brown (I always just ask for "the other potatoes"), are killer! thinly sliced potatoes sauteed with onions and peppers. They have a large menu and can basically cover whatever you feel like for breakfast and lunch. The pancakes are awesome. So are the breakfast chicken sausages. Everything is good, if not great. Call ahead and put your name in to cut your waiting time!
I ALWAYS return to this LA standard, no frills out of time breakfast spot. The folks here are so nice you'd think they're from some small, kind, midwestern town. The food is solid and good. Service is old school in the best way. Chili Cheese omlette and chorizo & eggs or machaca & eggs and pancakes hard to beat
The beef chorizo eggs benedict is out of this world. The staff is super friendly. The old Diner feel definitely adds to the greatness of this place as well.

Bomb bomb bomb food! The Italian sausage here was amazing. Best I've ever had. All of the staff was super friendly and helpful when it came to the menu. Definitely will be coming back.
Before going to work, I went with this coffee shop to improve my energy level and to be more productive. The place was comfortable to have a break, big space, the tables and chairs were well-organized. Also, the coffee that the waiter served me taste good. Honestly, I loved it so much. It was the coffee that I expected to taste. The waiter was too friendly and informative. I loved that kind of guy. Great service!
Super. Always that I been here. Epic food. Love the atmosphere and great service.
Their breakfast is really delicious. My fam's favorite place for weekends.
Great diner style breakfast. It's a small place so it helps if you are not in a rush. Been here twice now and it was easy to get an outside table. Service was quick both times. I ordered fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee and the #148 - 1 pancake, 2 eggs, hash browns and pan sausage. I had bacon and grits the time before.
The single pancake was more than enough. Actually, I could have easily shared my plate because it was a lot of food. The eggs were perfectly scrambled, bacon was crispy, sausage good and grits were perfect after adding butter, salt and pepper (my style). The hash browns were nice and crunchy on the top but soft in the middle. Perfect!
Process were very reasonably. 2 of these meals ran about $25. Not bad for the Beverly Hills / Pico-Robertson area.
Excellent chicken fried steak and eggs! Creamy and not cornstarch gravy.
Massive menu filled with great food, good prices good conversation (if you want) and the way a diner should be.
Best breakfast ever. Very nice coffee place to enjoy very good food. Service amazing!
