I was surprised at the quality of the sushi here because it was such an affordable option. We had the larger omakasen and it was unbelievably delicious. The food was also fast and I highly recommend this place.

There was a large group of us when we visited SUGARFISH the staff and the food were up to the task. They have high quality sushi and great service. I would recommend trying out SUGARFISH if you have never been and would love to come back.

We got the trust me tasting menu, and it did not disappoint. All the dishes were excellent and the service was great. The environment inside was really nice too. Only downside was having to wait 1h 30 for a table to become available!

Nozawa trust me was great. I don’t consider myself a big eater but I was able to finish it! If you love sushi, order this.

My family and I had an incredible experience here. We each chose our own level of the tasting menu and the courses were staggered so that no matter how much each person ordered, no one ate alone or finished too early. The quality of the fish itself is some of the best I have ever had. Incredibly fresh and delicious. I believe the pricing is more than reasonable for the quality of food you receive. The ambiance inside the restaurant was also on point. Highly recommend this spot!

Wow! I love sushi and oh my gosh this place is amazing! I ordered the Trust Me option and was blown away! So good, and the warm rice makes the delicious fish melt in your mouth. Great service too. Thank you so much.

I am not a fan of seafood so I ordered the edamame and cucumber roll. Those were the only options, but both delicious. Those that I was with ordered the Trust Me, and said it’s the best sushi they’ve ever had. They crave this place. Definitely recommend for those that love raw fish and I really wish they would have a few more options for those who don’t.

I tried the “Don’t think. Just eat. Trust me” sushi set and it was surprisingly the perfect amount - I didn’t expect to be full after, but I was. Their fish is soft and buttery and it really melted in my mouth. It’s high quality and tasted super fresh. For the nigiri, the rice is quite loose so it falls apart when you pick it up with your chopsticks, but I didn’t mind too much. The tuna handroll was my favourite but the camera didn’t do it justice. Sugarfish doesn’t really serve your average American sushi. I would say they focus on making the seafood the star of each dish, so some might say it’s more plain than your typical western sushi spot.

Great food and great service as always. I’ve been to other locations but first time to this one. Not thrilled with the parking here since they don’t have their own lot. Centrally located around heavy traffic areas. If you order the monkfish liver, ask for the sauce on the side…it just takes away from the natural flavor.

It was a very good place, The experience was pretty cool also. It's a small place so it's loud customers speaking over each other as it gets busy. We chose the medium set menu we both like sushi and it was a great experience for us.

I dined in during the hurricane/earthquake event this week. Atmosphere of restaurant is very nice. The noise level was perfect, creating a very balanced ambience. Staff was nice, helpful, and friendly and quick. Everything I needed was anticipated or arrived quickly. Shared a plate with my wife and added some limited items as well. Really hit the spot. But keep in mind, here is quality over quantity.

Surprisingly great. Had no idea about this spot before a local recommended. No reservations available but we were able to get seated right away when arriving pretty early (6pm-ish on a Saturday). When we were leaving the place was packed! They had a tasting menu of sorts which I totally recommend. It can with a variety of pieces that cam beautifully presented and with all of the freshness. Tuna and salmon were on point. Hand rolls were just the right amount of warm to crunchy seaweed ratio. Staff were great. Never had a dirty plate in my way. Ambiance is unassuming but very clean and fits. Definitely try this spot out if you’re in LA.

Never been there before! My 13 year old son suggested we go because he had been there before with his mum. I wanted to do something special for him, so off we went. I don't particularly enjoy raw fish, but my son adores it, but once I explained this to our server, she suggested alternatives, which I tried. We both had a great evening and I thoroughly recommend this place.

This is definitely on the expensive side for me and not personally my favorite kind of place, but you really get a pretty great experience for your money at Sugarfish. My friends were very happy with their sushi (on the Trust Me menu) and we all felt it was some of the best sushi we have ever had. The sake was a reasonable price as well and the service is pretty great/wonderful ambience all around. Definitely a great venue for a nice night out.

My first time here and it was such a great experience. The food was very fresh and tasty. In addition, our server and pretty much all the employees were very knowledgeable with the menu. Everytime dishes came out, the servers would explain each dish item. Great ambiance! I think the only downfall is that seating was very tight and close proximity with other guests. On the flip side, they do ask for proof of vaccine and ID. That help with our safety.
