Food was amazing! It was worth it to purchase the additional course that they offered for $20.
The only funny thing was the wine tasting option, my server informed us that it was a half a glass with every course. I was the only one at the table that purchased it for an additional $70. The descriptions and the wines were exceptional but he literally was pouring me a half an ounce of wine per pour, not even a full sip. My friends at the table were laughing about this. I felt embarrassed to have to ask but I finally said something by the third course and the issue was corrected. I didn’t want to be petty, but when I’m spending $650+ on a meal for three I would like to enjoy my wine.
The evening started with great appetizers and a pairing of beverages that lasted until the desert. Regardless of the vegetarian or the regular menu it was delicious. Staff was amazing and ambiance was perfect. Definitely worth ever bite. Ps. The butternut squash soup on the vegetarian menu was excellent... Wish I had this prepared for me on consistent basis.
Sat at the counter and had the pleasure of watching our food prepared in front of us. I have dined all over the world, and would rate this as a first rate foodie experience!
This was the best meal I have had since Providence a few years ago. Perfect execution of food, amazing flavors and textures that worked wonderfully together, flawless service, all with a fantastic jay-z heavy soundtrack through the night. I didn't want the meal to end.
Amazing food experience in a totally another location. Fancy and a very rockstar Ambiente.
Loved the food, the wine ,the music and chef Ludo.
Thank you for making our evening so special.
Fantastic! Every bite was served with panache and the entire team knows this menu front to back. Attentive, sensitive service with exceptional bites and flavors. The wine pairings were spot on and the evening was as good as it gets. This is the sort of experience that makes you know the difference between a good restaurant and a great restaurant. Bravo Trois Mec team!
The food was exceptional. The service and the attention to our needs as patrons was exceptional. If I️ could fault anything it would be the noisyness. And for that I️ would only deduct a half a star.
The food & wine pairing were perfect special treat gnocchi with truffles .
Always a great meal with excellent service. We dine here every 6 weeks (yes, that often) and have never had a bad meal.
Unbelievable! Great vibe, unpretentious. I did the non alcoholic pairing. Each delish drink made the already indescribably delectable food flavors explode even more than I thought possible. They were accommodating to one in our party with a food allergy. I can't wait to go back.
Was there for a birthday dinner and food and service was impeccable...
Fun and creative menu full of tasty surprises. We had a stellar meal!!
It's amazing every time and 2 Chefs Series with Chefs Ludo and John Shields was another level of greatness.
Each course is wonderfully executed. Flavors are Genius. It was exquisitely memorable and getting the wine pairing is recommended. Ludo, Jon and Vinny are the culinary 3 musketeers!!
One of the most superlative dining experiences I've had in Los Angeles. I'd been next door and enjoyed it tremendously oh, but this was another level entirely. The food was so clever and well-balanced and the service was outstanding. It also managed to be very informal and cozy well serving five star dishes
First, don't be fooled by the exterior! Looks like just a pizza place in a strip mall but it houses one of the most fabulous meal experiences you'll likely ever have.
Courses change based on their seasonal menu items, but everything was fresh and of the highest quality. I could go dish by dish but suffice it to say that my fiance, who dislikes squid and lamb was blown away by the presentation and taste of each of those dishes, which is testament to the skills of the chefs at Trois Mec.
Service is all about tasting menus, so go with an open mind...and prepare to shell out for the experience. Reservations only, need to make sure to check frequently for openings!
It was an extraordinary dining experience, which started with the succinct, energetic Bonjour’s from every member of the team. The atmosphere was modern, unintimidating and warm. Time slowed down, as the slim white candle burnt itself without reservation. We sat at the counter, and it was a great pleasure of its own to observe the kitchen.
Then food, the star of this evening. (you might skip the following section, to allow yourself the thrill of encountering the unknown)
I fell in love with the chef almost too easily, even before the bread was served. The mustard brûlée which had a tinge of wasabi awakened my taste buds, and I knew at once that the rest of the show would be innovative, bold and promising. The avocado sushi was utterly peerless, especially when it yielded its secret to you, the ivory tofu that tasted of sea. Then I was completely captivated again - the sweet peas absorbed the gist of fire, their smoked bitterness being perfect companion to the subtle sweetness of the shrimp sashimi, which had its own ultra-springy and firm texture. The Parmesan custard which faithfully covered and concealed the caviar was another stroke of genius. Finally, the large chunk of lamb leg, which was put onto the grill not long before we arrived, was sliced into thin, elegant pieces, quietly fulfilling its fate as we wielded the too genteel knife. Now the chef was melting the spoon with his palm to make the quenelles. But really, he was brooding over a showdown, one that made you remember. It was the arugula panna cotta. Unprecedented, and who will come after?
Ah, this was the rare time in life when I wish to be successful.

Really nice restaurant with good food and a nice vibe. Had the five course menu which was tasty - lots of variety in terms of flavours and a refreshing approach. Service was decent too. Really interesting wine list with off-the-beaten track selections. Not bad versus the other Michelin star restaurants I've tried before, definitely more 'LA' in terms of overall impression. Worth a visit at least once.
Lowkey restaurant hidden inside an old pizza place. No signage and just a plain glass door that will welcome into the amazing five course menu by Chef Ludo Lefebre. The open kitchen completes the fascinating dining experience. Walk-in are highly discouraged so make sure to book tickets in advance.
Had an amazing bday dinner at Trois Mec. We loved sitting at the bar and watching them make and plate our food. Every dish was completely unique and somehow the flavors came together perfectly. Dessert (pictured) was a fancy banana bread dish with curry ice cream. Can't wait to go back!
Great new French fusion cuisine! Real fun dining experience with unusual products and unexpected pairings. I recommend you sit at the bar and watch the cooks do their magic. Plus, my bro works there so you better go check it out NOW!
Great pre-set 5 course meal. Fun to sit at the bar and watch the chefs plate everything.
Sitting at the counter was a unique experience, made even better by Chef de Cousine Alex who was always willing to provide extra information about the courses and even some background on some of the ingredients or how the course was developed. Wonderfully inventive combinations of flavors were part of every course. A one-of-a-kind meal - even the standard wine pairing was superb with the courses. An interesting selection that featured both classic wine styles and some of the new "natural" wines that are all the rage.
Cleverly hidden under an old pizza place sign and located next door to Petit Trois. Valet parking was $7, not bad for the area. Seasonal French cuisine prix fixe menu. Food review articles suggest the name means "small bites" but I was full half way thru the menu. Excellent service and beatifully presented food.
One of the most interesting restaurants I visited recently. Hidden in Hollywood behind the sign of a pizza place this little jewel is showing a very precise concept of cuisine. Based on French heritage and experimental Californian spirit the dishes are really inspiring and unique. The wine list is very well structured with not a huge but very interesting variety of bottles almost exclusively French. The place is very small but the decor is very nice from the pottery to the fresh flowers. Service is professional but quite informal. The rigidity of the booking process is more than balanced by a great experience!
From the outside, the spot doesn't look like a high end restaurant. Your mind will instantly change once you walk in. The staff is great and so are the people cooking. One drawback here is the reservation. Once they are made, you cannot cancel. You have to sell your reservation to another party.
The food started out great. Crispy Tapioca with Parmesan was the highlight for me. Also had a great sweet bread dish which costs extra. Overall the flavors were good but on some dishes, some ingredients killed the balance of flavors. A little too expensive for my taste. Wasn't bad but I probably won't return until they change the course menu.
First, very quirky dining experience. Exterior is a pizza parlor. The whole plaza, except for the donut shop which is still a donut shop, is not what it seems. The food was not exceptional, flavors were hit and miss. Some courses were overly salty, others flavors were not fully there, just missing that something to make it exceptional. Wine pairings were great, we shared 1 wine pairing and both of us felt it was enough. Definitely has potential, just some flavor combinations didn't work. Will try again once the menu refreshes.
Definitely a 5-star experience in terms of food, ambiance & service. Well-deserved Michelin rating. We sat at the Chef's Table and got to admire Chef Ludo up close! He was also nice enough to take a photo with us at the end of our meal. :)
Exceptional and cozy French restaurant offering a set menu experience. The menu is modern, inventive and changes nightly I understand. The dishes were both surprising and delicious. The place only has a handful of tables as well as a counter open on the kitchen. Valet parking is conveniently available in the small lot just outside. We will be back without hesitation!
A great restaurant with a great chef, superb kitchen team, and very talented servers. My recent meal was one of the finest that I have ever enjoyed, anywhere in the world. Chef Ludo is a master of technique and taste, and this combination makes dining at Trois Mec extraordinary. And the experience is never stiff, yet always smart and surprising. Simply loved it.
