I recently tried the chef's specialty dish at this spot, and let me tell you, it's seriously delicious! What stood out was the generous portion they serve for the price; it's a good deal, no doubt. The flavor may seem simple, but trust me, it hits the spot in the best way possible. I won't sugarcoat itā€”no need for fancy wordsā€”it's just downright satisfying. One great thing about this place? You won't find yourself stuck in a long line, unlike at the Tujita next door. It's a definite plus, especially when you're craving a quick, delightful meal without the hassle of waiting. I'm already planning my return visit to try another dish from their menu. The experience was so enjoyable that I'm eager to explore more of what they have to offer. If you're around the area, this place is worth considering for a satisfying and hassle-free dining experience.

I ordered the cold vermicelli salad & my boyfriend ordered the pho. According to him the pho is average like a 6/10, my vermicelli salad was average as well as some of the vermicelli are too hard & the grilled pork on it was on the dry side. Service was friendly & nice. Still a place. you can consider if you want vietnamese food near sawtelle

Casual Vietnamese spot on Swatelle. Great spot for a quick bite. Probably not a spot for long dining experience. There are some great vegetarian options. I ordered the veggie banh mi. Fresh and decent portion. The server was really attentive and friendly.

Great pho that really hit the spot on a cold and rainy day on the West Side. Fairly busy on a weekday lunch time, but only waited about 5 minutes to sit. The broth was tasty, more gingery than some others but not too strong, and meats cooked just right! Would recommend the egg rolls and black tea as well to go with the soup!

I was in Vietnam Ho Chi Minh a month ago and had a blast of Pho. Bong La Cafeā€™s Pho is authentic enough considering we are in LA. Well done

Outdoor seating along busy sawtelle avenue with lots of crowds evokes an urban experience in otherwise sleepy West LA. Decent to good standard Vietnamese fare, not memorable really but not bad in any way. Vermicelli has plenty of vegetables. Spring rolls are quite good. Good prices. Friendly service. No parking whatsoever, good luck with that.

Hands down the best spot for Pho in West LA! There can be a bit of wait at times, but itā€™s definitely worth it. Itā€™s a simple spot that lets the food speak volumes for itself. The Dac Biet Pho is fantastic, but if itā€™s available, get the Chefā€™s Special as itā€™s also tasty and more filling. The Banh Mis are good here, I suggest to get the Sesame Steak as opposed to the Chicken one, and of course you should add the egg to it! The staff is caring, enthusiastic, and attentive. This is definitely a great choice for a lunch while in Sawtelle Japantown.

Great pho! High quality broth, large size, plenty of meat options, with my favorite being filet mignon slices and beef balls. Service is fast and itā€™s suitable for a quick lunch or a dinner.

Shirt wait or no wait time. Pho is delicious, it has that authentic clean broth from good Vietnamese places, not over salty or anything. Plenty of meat as well. They use Banh Pho Tuoi which is the fresh pho noodle, it's super soft!

Excellent chef's special pho. Broth is fantastic, probably one of the best I have had. Beef was tender and well cooked and tendon was soft but still chewy. Kudos to the chef!

Without question, the best Pho I've ever had can only be found at this location. I was not a huge fan of pho until I visited this place. I absolutely love the noodles, the broth and all their fresh ingredients. I'm also a fan of their Banh Mi sandwiches. Unfortunately, I've moved pretty far away from this location. but sometimes, I drive an hour out of my way just for a taste. Like today.

I wasn't feeling all that well the day we went here. So I 'just' ordered the chicken soup. This was a month or so ago when we were in LA visiting and I am sitting here in Nebraska craving that soup so much right now. It was perfect. Even more perfect were the lovely leftovers! It cured me on the spot, I swear! I still think it was the best meal we had all week...and we went to some interesting restaurants.

The pork Bahn Mi was delicious! The chicken pho was good too but I want to try the beef or pork next time.

Sandwich is pricy, but really yummy. Will get it next time when I crave for Vietnamese sandwich. 05102022 Update. Ordered it again. Sandwich without mayo is a little too dry. I took down one star because the bean sprouts came with the pho is not fresh.
