Everything about this place was perfect. Ordered takoyaki mentaiko and loaded kaisen and they were so delicious. Takoyaki still makes my mouth water thinking about it. Restaurant had a charming aesthetic, and I loved sitting at the counter to see the okonomiyaki being cooked. Staff was really nice and helpful too. Can't recommend enough!

My first time eating okonomiyaki and it is such an amazing flavor explosion. I got the Classic Okonomiyaki soft noodle, and it was absolutely amazing. The 11 layers of flavor are perfectly balanced and it has a slight sweetness that truly adds to this dishes uniqueness. My girlfriend got the Soup Less Spicy Tan Tan Men. It was also balanced in flavor and had a good level of spice (level 1). If you are in L.A. visiting or you live here and want to try something truly unique and spectacular, then you must try this!

Takoyaki is delicious, the kitchen is open so everyone can observe the chef's cooking process. The space is spacious and the staff's way of serving and receiving guests is in the Japanese manner.

Solid atmosphere and service, but some food (the ramen and yakisoba noodles) were too salty. A little pricey as well.

Finally got the chance to try Chinchikurins Hiroshima okonomyaki!! I love the waitlist idea where they text you when it’s your turn. Gives you time to walk around little Tokyo while waiting! To my surprise I got called pretty quickly! Service was great and the atmosphere was very nice (americanized Japanese lol!). The okonomyakis are huge and there’s lots of options! The food was pretty good. It wasn’t the best okonomyaki I’ve had compared to Japan but you can’t find Hiroshima style okonomyaki everywhere so I’m very grateful and I really enjoyed it! I would definitely comeback!

Delicious Hiroshima style okonomiyaki which are also known as Japanese savory pancakes. The Classic okonomiyaki are a tower of okonomiyaki sauce, noodles, cabbage, pork and egg - simply delicious, but even though it looks big it’s not necessarily filling. The place gets packed. They share space with a takoyaki restaurant called Tanota. The takoyaki are delicious. Service is pretty good. Meter parking or parking in nearby structures.

There isn't really a okonomiyaki spot in the NYC-area so coming to this place was definitely a treat. Big fan of their hiroshima okonomiyaki and would definitely recommend. Swung by here on a Thursday for lunch I believe for walk in and there were plenty of seats. Service wasn't too slow either. This was my boyfriend's first time eating okonomiyaki and he loved it!

Interesting noodle crepe served on a hot plate. Each table has a hot plate and they bring out a variety of dishes that stay warm on the plate. They also have a wide variety if taroyaki

Chinchikurin had delicious food! The atmosphere was relaxing and felt authentic. I got the vegan noodles but added an egg to mine. My friend got their signature crispy noodles with beef. Both were tasty! Delicious place and I highly recommend

I was in town for a short visit and decided to go to Little Tokyo for the night! I had never been in the small outdoorsy market that replicates the look of an older Japanese town with the tile roofs and wooden panels. I was excited to see that they offer okonomiyaki at a certain restaurant, so I queued up. The wait was a bit long but in my opinion worth it, as okonomiyaki places are far and few in between (vs making it yourself). Once seated, we ordered one okonomiyaki to share (with a fried egg), some takoyaki (as they were serving outside in a grill for people to watch, much like Japanese stalls do!), and shaved ice for dessert. The wait was considerable but when the food arrived it was hardly noticeable. If you come here without being in a rush its a nice experience, but it is busy due to its location and small interior. I loved the okonomiyaki (I recommend buying each person one as one serving goes fast between two people haha) and the takoyaki was fried, tasty, and hot. The shaved ice was absolutely sublime, with sweet strawberries and syrup, the ice melting perfectly. A great experience to share with my partner and I! Reminded me of Japan a lot.

We came here for thanksgiving afternoon - the portion sizes are perfect for an individual. Totally shareable as well if you’re less hungry. We got the Yakisoba noodles and matcha shaved ice and both were delicious. The noodles weren’t overly greasy, and the seating on the patio seems to be for bbq and the tables were a bit higher while the chairs are lower. It was slightly uncomfortable seating but that’s okay. The service was decent as well - nothing over the top and the food was fantastic overall. It was a pretty crowded space during the holiday. I’d recommend coming here for lunch or dinner!! Compared to the other places in little Tokyo, this one seems to be pretty busy. Good Japanese food all around overall, but personal preference, I like places with more rice bowl options.

Chinchikurin was a great experience! The service was great and the staff overall was friendly. We were seated at the bar and our server was prompt and polite. The takoyaki was perfect. You get to see them make them by the bar area and it comes to you hot and fresh (don’t eat it right away). The octopus inside was perfectly cooked and wasn’t chewy at all. This was my first time trying Hiroshima style okonomiyaki and it was good. I think I prefer Osaka style because here they layer everything instead of mixing. In this way, it kinda falls apart and becomes hard to eat. However, the flavor was so rich and flavorful. There’s so much umami coming from the egg, pork, and sauce. We ended the night with the shirokuma kakigoori: shaved ice topped with milk syrup, fruit, and red bean. We also got to see the server make this at the bar. It wasn’t to die for but there’s nothing wrong with it.

The okonomiyaki was great, it is balanced food and it’s good to not only eat ramen and sushi’s 😅 Takoyaki as an appetizer is also very good.

What a terrific experience I had dining at this place. I can't say that this was my first experience trying Japanese food, but this place for sure got my feet wet in the Japanese cuisine. Luckily for me, the people that I was with were quite familiar with Japanese food. So I ordered the spicy goam, which had a very unique flavor. It had onions, jalapenos and the Japanese mayo on top of this pancake-like patty with noodles underneath that. There were a few different types of this goam, which consisted of different meats and spice level. We all ordered different ones so we could try a wide variety of food. All were very good. All the ingredients were fresh too. It was also cool to drink some Japenese beer as well, even though the drinks were somewhat pricey. Overall, this was a very cool experience for me.

A pleasant place to eat while visiting Little Tokyo. Bright & airy atmosphere and was fun watching the chefs prepare our meal. I come from the DC area where we have a lot of Asian restaurants but I've never tried the Okonomiyaki before. What a delicious comfort food! It had layers of cabbage, meat, egg, and I added rice cake to mine. I made it crispy but maybe next time I'll try it soft. It was delicious and hope I can find a place near me in DC that makes this!
