The food was good! I didn’t find their seasoning too spicy nor too salty like at most Korean restaurants. The price was reasonable, too. We got their bossam (steamed pork) with soybean paste stew. While the pork wasn’t oily and was tasty, it lacked something. But, I honestly couldn’t put my finger on it. I would love to return and try their other items on the menu next time. Highly recommend!

Sunday night dinner was delicious at Kobawoo. We went for their Bossam and it was perfect. Tender, juicy and very flavourful. The soy bean soup was also really good. Service was fast and attentive as well.

Authentic Korean spot with bossam (pork belly). Came here with a couple of other friends and it was about a half hour wait on a Sunday around 6pm before we got seated. Had the medium bossam in addition to kimchi soup. The banchan provided included a beef jerky (a first for me), kimchi, potato salad (some of the best I’ve ever had) and a noodle thing. Rice was extra and they do have purple rice available ($3 per person). The medium was good for the three of us even though it says it’s just for two - it’s very filling and the pork melts in your mouth.

We went during week day lunch for the lunch special and it was definitely delicious. The food was a tiny bit pricey ($20-30 for lunch) but the environment was nice and we had spacious tables where we could layout all the food and kimchi appetizers. There was no reservation but we had to write down our name on a clipboard when we walked in. We did have a few tables before us but got seated within 15min, which is not bad.

Loved this feast at Kobawoo🤤🤤😻 This authentic Korean restaurant serves some of the best bossam in town! 🍽️ Ordered: 1. Large bossam 2. Kimchi pancake 3. Acorn noodles The portion sizes here are rly big so def come with a group!!🥳 I loved the bossam so much, it was so tender and flavorful with the white kimchi & radishes. This is one of my favorite Korean dishes for sure because it’s so packed with flavor & healthy. I also rly enjoyed the acorn noodles here, the texture was so good!

everything was SO good I don’t know why it took so long for me to finally go! They are known for having a lunch special for their bossam but we went for dinner. Between the two of us, we got a medium Bossam and couldn’t even finish it! It came with napa cabbage of course, pickled radish, shrimp, radish, and pickled jalapeños. I asked for ssamjang on the side. The pork was sliced super thin and had a wonderful flavor so it didn’t taste heavy at all. The banchan options were allll delicious. I loved the green leaf the most - tasted like an earthier spinach and was light and refreshing with the purple rice. The doenjang jigae was probably one of the best I have ever had. It was the perfect amount of fermented soybean and savory, with tofu and zucchini textures. It was lovely to complement the “colder” bossam dish. Kimchi was a great banchan too. Can’t wait to go back!

The lunch special is soooo good! Great deals and they don't skimp on the portions or quality. The owners pride themselves in serving homestyle Korean food and it definitely shows! There's no frills and everything is delicious. I would definitely come back for a hearty lunch. I got the Bossam & Doenjang Jjigae lunch special. The pork was tender and paired perfectly with the kimchi, radish, etc. They actually don't give ssamjang with this. The bean paste soup was very flavorful and savory! Very onion heavy. The Acorn Noodles (Jangban Guksoo) was perfect on a hot day! Refreshing and crisp vegetables with a spicy and sweet sauce. I definitely recommend!

We stop by this restaurant whenever we have a chance on the way back to SD from our trip. My husband like the sliced BoSsam and I love the spicy cold noodle dish. We've been visiting for 5 years now and will be comimg back after our next trips.

It was my first experience in a Korean restaurant. It is hard to remember the name of soups but the red soup was really hot and tasty. The sides were matched with the soups. The brown rice on the side was really a good choice. The other soup containing tufo and vegetable was also delicious and full of new tastes for me. The dessert was not good at all. Overall, a good experience

Amazing food, we had acorn noodles and seafoods pancake special. Little expensive ~$25 but quality and quantity justified. So I’m happy 😋. Valet parking $3 cause its LA 😒. Good sitting, service and decent ambiance. Will go again.
