Fish 🐠 was real big the steak was big..lol small sodas lol but for the most part it was delicious ..
Food was good, but it was extremely warm inside the restaurant. It was scorching outside, so a cool temperature while enjoying our food would have been nice. I had filet mignon, a side of Brussels sprouts (they were bland), and the clams and mussels. The steak was fine and was cooked as requested, and the clams and mussels were delicious.
I took my wife here to celebrate our 4 years anniversary. I made reservations through OpenTable and the process was simple. When we arrived to the plaza the restrauant is in, there a underground parking structure that I thought you could get validated but you basically have to pay a fee. We arrived to the restrauant about 30 minutes early but they were still able to sit us next to a window. The place inside is very nice and romantic, they also have someone playing the piano throughout our dining experience. Our waiter was Jason and he was awesome, he was helping on recommended which dish for my wife and also helped me choose the best steak to go with. My wife went with the Miso Sea Bass since Jason recommended it over the Salmon and he was spot on, my wife loved her dish and believe the Sea Bass here is the best out of all the other places she tried. I went with the 12oz prime dried age Filet Mignon, Jason recommended that I always go with USDA Prime over the Angus beef. My steak was very tender, flavorful and cooked perfectly to medium rare. I also got some French fries for my side and it was delicious. This place also give you complimentary bread and they give us a butter, bread banana dessert for our anniversary. We would totally come back for another celebration in the future since we had a great time here and the customer service was spot on.
My rating:
Food: 5 star, it's a steakhouse so don't expect the entrée to be cheap. The Filet Mignon was amazing and the Miso Sea Bass is a fan favorite. Their fries are also good too and they give you a lot.
Atmosphere: 5 star, the interior of this restrauant is nice and if you get a window seat, you can see Ventura Blvd.
Customer Service: 5 star, the servers are amazing and our waiter Jason was attentive to our table while also being very helpful.
Parking: 4.5 star, we came on a Wednesday night so we had to pay for parking but I was able to park right next to the escalator.
Great location overlooking Ventura Blvd. They have a very nice outdoor patio for additional seating. Parking in the structure underneath was $5.
Multiple steak options and toppings. Wine list is very good. All around a great steakhouse experience.
Purple cauliflower gratin is amazing. Trust.
A fun and delicious experience for all.
Great ambience, great location.
Excellent friendly service. Entertaining pianist.
Had crab cakes, large shrimp cocktail.
I had the 20 oz ribeye steak, very tasty.
Also my favorite dessert, Creme Brule!
Will definitely recommend to all.
Went for dinner on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant has a great vibe with plenty of window seating (for 2) and a full bar and bar area. When we were there, there was a business there doing presentations and talking through a PA system that was less than desirable for an evening out. Luckily, the presenting and PowerPoint didn't last for too long, but they pianist didn't play while they were doing their presenting, which was disappointing. We ordered a few drinks which took a little bit to come from the bar and when they arrived, one had a fly in it. It was brought to their attention and quickly replaced. For dinner, we ordered the miso sea bass and a ribeye steak with crab, artichoke, and spinach dip. The first ribeye that came out was nearing well done when ordered medium (which we were told would be bright pink). The server recognized it was overcooked and insisted it be replaced. The second steak came out perfectly cooked and well seasoned. I've purchased many expensive steaks, and this one sits pretty high on the list. My wife loved her sea bass, and it was cooked wonderfully. Staff was very friendly, and the food was good aside from a few hiccups. They did comp us a dessert, which was really good. It was a cake with creme sauce, a scoop of vanilla ice cream, and carmazlized bananas. Amber, the manager, also stopped by to apologize about the steak and needing to wait for a new one, and that was super nice. I'd recommend checking it out and maybe calling first, making sure some business hasn't rented out a portion of the restaurant.
My first time at Larsen's and it was excellent! We went to celebrate a co-workers birthday during lunch hours. The hostess was pleasant and servers equally welcoming. I had the chicken sandwich lunch special. Do they bake their own bread?! Yum, chicken was moist and the French roll was so fresh. I will be back soon to experience dinner.
Very lovely dinner. We got the arugula salad, mac and cheese and the prime rib 18oz steak. All very delicious. Would definitely coming back again.
Their steak is great and the sides are shareable. I would go here if I want steak on a casual day. Restaurant is not crowded and you would enjoy your space. Servers are nice and the pianist plays good music. Parking is easy even on weekends.
Pork Belly, Cream Corn and Brussel sprouts are a must try 😍
Reason for visiting: dinner with my buddy
Date/time of visit: Wednesday night, ~6:30 PM
Parking: in the underground lot; it cost me $5 for parking. If you can find parking on the street, it's free.
Party size: 2
Environment/ambience: nice. They have TVs at the bar only, no sound. No TVs inside the restaurant. They have someone playing piano inside the restaurant. Upscale dining but not everyone was dressed up.
Service: bar service was slow but seems like they were busy or understaffed. I went to the bar to wait for my buddy and waited 10 minutes before I had to flag someone down. They took my order but I waited another 5 minutes; my buddy showed up so I cancelled my order. The service at the table was awesome. She was cute and friendly 😛; she came around often too.
Food: We had the petite seafood tower (jumbo shrimp, crab claws, mussels, and oysters; all of it was great. Horse radish is strong so be careful! Cocktail sauce was good too! I had the New York strip (wet aged); also had cream of corn and sauteed mushrooms as sides. Everything was great! Steak was cooked right (medium) and flavor was on point Also had a couple of old fashioneds with Bulleit Rye.
Cost: I didn't pay but I'm assuming ~$300 with tip. New York strip I had was $68.
I was at the Bar during Happy Hour
It was really Happy
Great Food (Bar and Happy Hour menu)
Great Service, excellent Atmosphere
Fantastic service. They do have a vegan item on the menu. Just get the purple cauliflower without the cream sauce.
Walking into beautiful Piano music was amazing, but the pleasant and professional demeanor from every single staff member we had an encounter with from the second we walked in was absolutely incredible. Our server Joe was a complete delight as well as attentive, but allowed us to have plenty of quiet conversation. The food was timed perfectly and it was SOOO good. Words could not express the satisfaction of every bite and although it was pricey, it was worth every penny. And every calorie! I am not mad about how stuffed I was. And even though we gave no hints, Joe figured out we had come in for my birthday and ordered us up a butter cake (OMG) with ice cream and a candle on top to make the night that much more perfect. It was some of the best desssert I have ever had!! Bravo Larsen’s, Bravo!!! *standing ovation*
I came here on a whim from a friend’s invite. I would not have thought to come here otherwise. I expected to pay a lot, which I did, so I won’t deduct a star for pricing as it is expected. I do recommend coming during happy hour to save some cash. Bartenders were cool and friendly. I was casually dressed while most people were well dressed but I didn’t get the “I don’t belong here” vibe. The steak tacos were bomb and I enjoyed the crab cake. I will be coming back here. You can chill at the bar and watch the local game or come for a fancy date.

Terrific and classic steakhouse in a convenient Encino location.
Service was exceptional! Every server seems to care for every table here. Our particular waitress was amazing I wish I caught her name but nonetheless all are Terrific!
Food is absolutely wonderful too! Steaks, seafood and unbelievably so, the chicken is Terrific!
Piano music is always nice and definitely adds to the ambiance.
