Pork belly is my thing so after seeing the pork belly skewers online, I had to try them. Me and a friend waited for about half an hour to get a table which isn't bad considering how packed the place was.

While we waited, we grabbed a few brews at the bar and stood around chatting. The atmosphere was great like most gastropubs and the beer selection was pretty good. We finally got our table and ordered food right away. The dish I originally came for (pork belly) did not let me down. The pork belly literally melts in your mouth. The other highlight was the bistro burger...very tasty.

This place is pretty cool and very laid back. Great place to grab beers and food in Studio City.

Bangin.... We slipped in through the front door so no one would see us...the dim lighting and small crowd allowed us to slip into a table against the wall - but the creaking wood floors gave us away and we were quickly greeted by a busy-cute barmaid (is that politically correct to say?). Orders for food or drink are placed at the bar. Laurel has a great "feel" to it. The floors are reclaimed from a turn of the century power plant - cool. The lighting about the bar area are circa 1900's "Edison" light bulbs that almost have an aura around them - very cool. Laurel has an extensive craft-beer selection as well as "Artisan" wines. I had the "Northcoast Scrimshaw" beer...OK, I had THREE...wonderfully hoppy and satisfying AND served at the right temp. I ordered the "Old School" burger ($8) and ($3) hand-cut FF . Food was out quick. The burger was cooked perfectly and was hot n juicy, definitely one of the BEST I've ever had. My sis got the beet salad with some sortof cheese in the middle...really wasn't $10 worth of salad and was ordinary-flavorless. The FF at the Laurel are supposed to be something quite special...they aren't. Although it was a large serving, they were made up of those short "left-over" looking sections and were cold and unseasoned. Next time I'll order the peppered steak FF ($6). The Laurel is one of many actress and actor wanna bes hangouts...I probably looked like a bobble-head character in the rear deck of a 66 Chevy...WOW, I ain't dead yet!
Go to Laurel for the GREAT burgers, the awesome beer selection and the view :o)

My husband's favorite go-to at Laurel Tavern are the chorizo sliders. He has good reason, they are smokey and a bit spicy. I can never resist stealing one of these little sliders.

I can go one and on about atmosphere and all the beautiful people here, but really the food is the shining star that adds to the already amazing vibe at Laurel Tavern. If you are in the 818, do yourself a favor and check this place out!

Library Bar alums Will Shamlian and Mark Leddy's new Studio City Gastropub is a bright shining star along Ventura Blvd. It's front glass frosted windows open up to the street, beckoning local residents in for a beer and some grub. Inside, it's rustic and

I came into this place on a Friday night after a long, stressfull day of work. The overall experience of this place allowed me to wind down and leave in the right state of mind. The atmosphere of this place is definitely a strong attribute. The lighting is plentiful, yet dim, making it feel very elegant and soothing. The outdoor seating is even better. The beer that I ordered was very good as well. With that in mind, there's a pretty good variety of beer, wine and cocktails at this place. Overall, I would return for another visit if ever given the opportunity.

We visited here on a Monday during happy hour, and sat on their pretty patio. Our food was delicious, especially the fish (cod) taco and the charcuterie board. The drinks were lovely too! We enjoyed it so much that we plan on going back there to have dinner sometime soon. In the picture there's more olives and cheese hiding behind the bread! Next time I will ask for the bread to be not grilled (my own pref.)

Great food and atmosphere here at Laurel Tavern. The outside patio is super comfy and enjoyable for drinking with friends. All of the food we ordered was delicious, especially the french dip. My only complaint was the ordering process. Everything had to be ordered at the bar which became a little frustrating waiting behind a bunch of people just ordering drinks. I think this spot would benefit from a "ordering from QR code and have food delivered to each table" situation. Overall great time here though. I'll come back more this summer to enjoy the patio.

Good draft beers & craft cocktails! Food is delicious! Everyone with me enjoyed their food, including me. Parking is limited, they do offer valet for $8. Sometimes you can find meter parking, you might have to spin the block.

Great place to grab a quick lunch under $20. Good drinks, lots of space and not overly crowded. Order at bar, get a number have food delivered to table outside or inside. Also, a very clean and upbeat vibe imo.

Great outdoor patio (was their parking lot pre-pandemic) that was beautifully decorated for the holidays. A great place for our 50 person event and we didn’t even take up half the space. Best of all was Corey, who handled everything. He was kind, courteous, thoughtful and gave terrific service all the way around.

Cool place. Pretty cozy, had a nice outdoor area as well. The drinks are good, the food is great. I also forgot my credit card there and they kept it for me. Good people, chill vibes. There is valet and street parking. As with most parking in LA, it can get a little wild.

Been here previously for lunch, but stopped in for a quick dinner. Good location on Ventura nr Laurel Cyn. There's parking available just to the east but I found street parking. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. All orders are done at the bar, for food, drinks, etc. Menus are posted on the wall and behind the bar, as well as QR codes on the tables for convenience. Service was fast, bartenders were nice. Food was excellent.

This was the first place that we sat down and had a meal while visiting Los Angeles for the first time ever. It was a Saturday evening and we were able to get in and get a table. Parking was tight but there is a valley just down the road for $10. Inside the restaurant there is a indoor bar portion and an beautiful outdoor patio with lots of plants and lights. The ordering style is do it yourself, You can walk up to the bar or in the case of the patio is a food truck, Is and order your drinks and food. You get your drink on the spot and they bring food to your table. The food was incredible I had the best pork belly that I have ever had in my life, The drinks were very unique and very tasty. Staff was great and the atmosphere was incredibly chill ,great vibe.

Frequent here on a weekly basis and it's all due to the drinks, food, and ambience. What a vibe of a place. Food wise, uufff the grilled cheese, wings, and turkey club are mint mint choices. A drink and a half would be the margarita with tequila ocho. Masterpiece. The crowd is always legit. Get out to this place, you'll love it!

One of my favourite spots to meet friends, and great for casual business meetings. Awesome outdoor area, well lit, lots of plants, funky style. Indoors it’s a nice pub style bar, with plenty of seating and always a friendly atmosphere. Laurel has plenty of beers on tap, great cocktails, but the Crispy chicken sandwich is what I order here. All the food is good, but that sandwich fantastic! Get it smothered in sauce and it’s even better. If you’re pretending to be healthy you can grab the salad version, but it’s worth the extra calories.

Ever since opening up their outdoor area, Laurel Tavern has become my go to spot! Just a great place to grab a drink and some food with friends. Update 9/27/23: some of the staff have changed but the attitudes have not. Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Food is great. Still a great spot and still my go to.

This is a terrific spot in Studio City. It’s comfortable welcoming and full of locals. They gladly accommodated our large party with tables outside. My only complaint is to order food. Do you have to go to the bar and wait - and when the bartenders get busy, he can take some time. How about some wait staff to take table side orders even if it’s just food.

I want to say thanks to the awesome security guard for doing his job he is very professional. Super friendly. The atmosphere here is great. Cute little spot to come gather around have a great time. Our bartender that night was such a doll. I just know she has curly hair and she’s the best. She made our drinks perfect. Super fast attentive, and she deserves the best. Our little group we had enjoyed our drinks. I love it, can’t wait to come back to have a few drinks to down. Came here before we went to eat sushi so pregamming it before we had dinner. Next time going to come down to have more of an awesome time. The pub was very clean, organized. Yes there is a little wait but I promise you it goes by really fast. The people here are amazing. You won’t be disappointed. If your in the area you have to come out to this joint. Have some of their drinks. Their food looks really appetizing as well. Lots of drinks to choose from

Great outdoor seating. It’s very cute with all the lights and little camper. Brussels sprouts were the best I’ve ever had with brown sugar bacon vinaigrette. Was a bit disappointed with how small the special cocktail was; we had a new bartenders so that may have been why.
