Great atmosphere. Wonderful. You can eat on the patio and not be… exposed to the elements that is Los Angeles, you know. I went for brunch on a Wednesday, wasn’t busy at all. Chris our waiter was amazing and funny. I would absolutely come back. As per Chris’s recommendation, during happy hour.
Very beautiful restaurant! Gorgeous outdoor seating and indoor seating areas, along with a good sized bar
The workers are all very nice!
And best of all the food is absolutely delicious and very interesting
The cheeseburger isn’t just a regular cheeseburger, they use I think lamb meat which I’ve never tried before but was quite good here
The fries were amazingly crispy and most amazing for happy hour they have huge $5 beers!
Only issue happy hour is quite short
Only from 4-6 pm
Def worth trying the handmade pizza on their happy hour menu though
Between the pizza and burger (both were amazing) but I think the pizza may have won out haha
Have already been here twice and definitely coming back!
Spartina is definitely a great find! I live in Mississippi and travel to LA a couple of times a year. It is always on my list of places I must visit.
We took a group of 13. We had reservations and we were accommodated and seated immediately. The chef/owner came out, made recommendations, and made sure we had appetizers on the table. Everything came out promptly and was fabulous!!! I had the Sicilian Shrimp Pasta but sampled the grilled chicken, pepperoni pizza and tortellini with beef short ribs. I am not sure which was the best!! It is all delicious. If you find yourself near Melrose, please put this on your list. You will not be disappointed.
The patio is lovely. And whether you are dining inside or out the service is everything! Highly recommend the octopus.. I don’t know why but combined with the salami it’s to die for. Their squash blossom, buratta pizza and pork belly pasta are also favorites. I’m really looking forward to celebrating with a nice happy hour and soon…
The garlic pasta I ordered was small but very delicious. Pizza was also decent. Lovely ambience and open patio. Service was attentive, informative and lovely.
This is our favorite Italian spot in our neighborhood. The food is exquisite. We have ordered nearly everything on the menu and keep coming back for more. The happy hour is an added bonus too.
Came here for a friend’s birthday and liked the vibes and drinks. The garlic pasta was okay and the mussels were bountiful but plenty spicy so beware. I liked the pizza with chili oil the best, and their bread pudding was bomb.
A good friend of mine used to work with Stephen Galt and his brother so stopping by his restaurant while in LA was a must. This is easily the best restaurant on our trip with fantastic presentations from this Iron Chef slayer.
We started with a Pepperoni Pizza with Calabrian Chile Oil & Honey which was brick oven crisp, spicy and so fresh tasting, and the manager told us this was his favorite. Next was an amazing Sicilian Shrimp Rigatoni in a Pistachio Pesto sauce that was the star of the show, and our waitresses favorite. We also had a Beef Belly Mushroom Duxelle Fetuccini that was very, very good, but was missing the advertised Thai Basil. Fantastic Italian wine selections. Sorry, no room for dessert.
This is an neighborhood restaurant and you'll need reservations. Put this place on your list!

Very good pastas as you’d expect, good appetizers, and lots of drink options. We sat outside so I’m not sure how it looks inside. The pork tenderloin appetizer was great! That cheesecake was an absolute no for me though and I love cheesecake normally. I took one bite and couldn’t even push myself to eat more of it lol but all the entrees and appetizers were good. I would return. Our server was SO nice though and made some great suggestions. I can’t remember his name but he was super sweet.
We loved our lunch at Spartina. The lovely Naomi hosted us and guide us through the coherent menu. She is so knowledgeable. The atmosphere is relaxing like sitting on an Italian Terrace. The decoration is a cocktail of modern and rustic. The Food is absolutely delicious and authentic.
The outdoor ambiance is fantastic. You are tucked into a little garden looking area that has oil heat lamps to keep you warm. There are a few olive trees on the grounds as well that are a nice touch.
Food was very good all around. Would recommend the bread to start! Pasta cooked al dente and the sauce was perfect.
Server was a little spacey and talked a lot with other tables which turned into long waits between service and we had to wait quite a while to order food.
Highly recommend.
Lots of outdoor seating, great for Covid. Service attentive and friendly, patio very nice at night. Food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was on point, fresh and perfectly cooked/spiced. Must try grilled avocado, amazing. Highly recommended restaurant.
This was our first time going and was recommended by a local. Nichole was the bartender she made great drinks and fast too and multi tasked. She was patient as we had a lot of questions about the menu. Sarah was a waiter and stopped by to meet us. Marianne the manager was so sweet to us as well. She spent some time speaking with us. Food was phenomenal. We had the Pistachio shrimp pesto and the shrimp is diced small so you get a piece of shrimp in every bite. We also had the short rib tortellini very delightful! The brussel sprouts were good too. I absolutely loved the blackberry bread pudding. A must try! The restaurant itself was modern and beautiful. Thank you chefs too!
Spacious and pretty outdoor areas and decent Italian offerings but our server did not have very good understanding of the menu so recommended a completely wrong dish. However, as soon as we raised our concern they went out of their way to rectify.
Great food, highly recommended.
Came here for Valentine's Day dinner. I was disappointed to find out that it was going to be a set menu after I had made the reservation, however that changed when they gave me a link to view the selections. It was one the most robust set menu I had ever seen.
There was plenty to choose from and it ended up being 1 app, 1 pasta and 1 entre for each of us, so we got to try 6 things last night.
Unfortunately we didn't get to try the pizza since it was omitted from last night's menu, but we definitely want to go back and give that a try because we enjoyed everything else we had.
I will note that I thought the fried chicken didn't have a ton of taste, but it was good quality.
Definitely try the spaghettini with white and black garlic.
Made a reservation for an early dinner before a show and we were so happy! Ordered many amazing plates, it was all delicious and we even had space for dessert! The service was fantastic, it was our first time and the waiter was very knowledgeable and helped us create the perfect family style meal for 5 of us. Definitely going back.
