This place deserves a 6/5. I ate the bbq salmon special for the day and loved it. The salmon was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I was just surprised with how good it was, I feel salmon is hit or miss sometimes but Shamshiri nailed it. The service was also amazing and very little wait time for the food to arrive. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for Mediterranean food and are in the area.

Always such a great restaurant to order for our family dinners. We order family style and they put everything together in tray. Easy to order, easy to pick up and food always hits to spot. Order the shish kabob (filet), beef koobideh (ground beef) and the Cornish hen. They give good portions and with the catering they give pita and grilled tomato. Staff is always super friendly.

This is one of the best Persian restaurants not just in Los Angeles, but in the USA. The food is exquisite, they have a good beer selection, the staff are friendly and very attentive, the atmosphere is casual, a Great place for birthday celebrations and overall family dinners. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I had lunch on Saturday for first time. We weren't convinced because is old, the appearance inside doesn't look too clean, but I wanted to give it a try. By my surprise the service, Albert was very nice and friendly. The food delicious and big meal that we finished at dinner. I will be back soon!

We have been coming here for more than 15 years. Our favorites are the chicken and fish kabobs, hummus, and tadig, which is crispy rice with stews. The portions are very generous, and the prices are reasonable even though they have gone up over the years.

Still one of the best and abundant Persian food in the San Fernando Valley.

Every now and then we stop by and order takeouts but tonight the shirin polo game was way off - it was too sweet to consume. Will need to add some plain rice to offset that. Also the kitchen area stunk really bad! . . . Love their food especially the shirin polo rice, our fav! Love all other rice too, the raisins, the dates, lima beans, chopped herbs - out of this world. And oh their rice goes so well with the koobideh and kebabs, we prefer chicken but beef is good as well and grilled salmon is an absolute delight! Was here with a bunch of friends on Friday at 530pm the place was empty but dinner crowds start coming in and it was packed by 830 when we finally decide to leave. We ate but talked most of the time and the hostess was very gracious to us even asked her to take a photo of our group.

IRAN 🇮🇷 Excerpt from Eat the World Los Angeles: It would be remiss not to mention how well the folks at Shamshiri take care of you. Service levels across the restaurant spectrum can go from you being a bother just existing to a server taking a true interest in showing off the food available, and Shamshiri definitely is the latter. Your meals here can benefit from questions and conversation while ordering. If there is only room for one kabob order on the table, you cannot go wrong with the shishlick ($22.95), five wonderfully marinated lamb chops. Despite being the most expensive single kabob selection on the menu, the chops are big and good value. Get them done medium-rare.
