The best donuts that you can find. Visiting LA and had to find the best donut for my daughters sweet 16 birthday and Primo's donut was awesome. They even gave her her donut for free.

Primo's was recommended to us by a local, as the "best donuts in LA", and they sure lived up to the it! The cake donuts aren't dry like some places, and the icing flavors are delicious and full of flavor. Support a local business and swing by!

AMAZING donuts, reasonable prices, very friendly service. This place is a 10/10 for me. I highly recommend their blueberry cake donut, it’s crunchy on the bottom, soft on the inside, with a delicious and pretty blueberry glaze. I’ve had the regular and vegan version both are great! Also the coffee is really good, not bitter at all.

This is exactly what you want a donut shop to be. Mom and pop shop on its 3rd generation. Friendly service. Good prices. GREAT donuts. Surprisingly good coffee. Would have taken a photo but I ate them too quick. Delicious! Will be back

Locally owned donut shop in West LA. Donuts are great, the employees there are nice, and it’s a small but cozy donut shop. Would go there if wanting to support a locally owned business

Yes the hype lives up to it. Buttermilk donut is by far the best donut I've ever had and clearly why people line up at opening for this. Cake donuts are heavy but filled with flavor. Guava filled donut is slightly over sweet but the dough balances that nicely. Secret here is definitely the coffee. Crazy good coffee and would not suspect it.

They live up to their claim of being the best donuts in LA, definitely check this place out, their excellent donuts are matched by their excellent service. If you are there on a Friday be sure to check out a blueberry fritter.

I felt like driving around today at a leisurely Sunday pace. Primo's was on my radar so I found my way over there. These are legacy donuts (1956) and are excellent. It is quite far for me to get to their locations but I am glad I stopped by at least once.

They claim to be the best donuts in LA and they are 100% correct. Picked up a half dozen for my office on the way to work and they were still warm when I got to the office. Their cake donuts melted in my mouth and the buttermilk were off the hook! Definitely a must try if you're a donut connoisseur.

Before going to Primos’s Donuts I looked at the reviews and I was skeptical of the high rating of 5 stars, it is true. Crisp, flackery, dense, full of flavors. The buttermilk was magnificent and will go soon because I want to try the Custard, it had already finished everything and it was only 11:00 in the Morning. I can imagine these Donuts with a very hot coffee, before work, there is no way to go wrong. I recommend it!

Primo's newest location is at the old Stan's Donuts in Westwood on Weyburn with donuts currently coming out of the Sawtelle kitchen, and an extended menu that includes the BEST espresso and espresso drinks. This location also has indoor and outdoor seating. The (cake-type, donuts are always very good, but catch them as they come out of the kitchen and you cannot stop eating them. Primo's cake donuts are made with a sweetened dough leavened by way of baking powder, and extruded into oil to cook. It’s firm, often with a slightly crunchy exterior and a soft, cake-like interior. There is none of the yeast-like taste of donuts made with yeast and cut before frying. We look forward to their extensive, fun, holiday promos for us and gifts!

I came here for the malasadas. The didn't have any which is understandable it was Thanksgiving day. They only had an apple option. Their old-fashioned Buttermilk are solid.

It's a really cute and charming shop filled with a variety of freshly baked donuts. We usually judge a doughnut shop by their glaze, so naturally, my boyfriend and I gravitated to those. We were planning on grabbing a doughnut each, but after speaking with the owner Ralph, we actually ended up going home with a box of 8 (2 of which were on the house). Ralph was super friendly and made a simple doughnut run into an awesome experience. He gave us a little background about the history of the shop and guided us with picking some of their best-sellers. We ended up going home with the buttermilk, glazed, cinnamon twist, jelly-filled, cinnamon butterflies, and chocolate (from the left clockwise). Ralph recommended the buttermilk donut since that is what they are known for. I'm so glad he did because it was delicious. The more bites I took, the more I fell in love with it. I'm usually not a big fan of the "cakey" doughnut but this one was so moist and the contrast of the crunchy sweet outside with the soft fluffy inside was delish. I would definitely recommend getting a half dozen/dozen and try a bite of each to find your favorite.

This place has been in business since 1956 by the same loving latino husband and wife. I onced lived in this area over 10 years ago. I banked at the nearby Chase and shopped at the Ralph's and Riteade across the street. However, I never knew about this place. I guess I just wasnt a donut kinda girl then. Especially coming from TX were Shipley's Donuts still reign suprem. I was recently introduce to this little corner nugget by a co-worker. I decided to go and see what the hoopla. When I entered I was instantly greeted by the Bestes customer service employee Enrique (Henry). His smile and attitude had me buying more donuts than I had planned. There were sooo many freshly baked options. I opted for the original Buttermilk glazed old fashion style. I bought the small version (with regrets because I now want the larger one), Apple fritter (holy cannoly sooo dang good), cake donut glazed with cinnamon cake crumbles, chocolate glazed mini oldfashion ( meh, not my favorite) and a raised yeast twist. They were all pretty good. Not too sweet and best of all NOT GREASY! I ate them alllll by myself ( yes, while singing that tune). I went back again two days around 3pm to buy another old fashion but they were all sold out. So I suggest to get there earlier in the day. This time I bought a bacon maple glazed and a cinnamon rugelach style donut. I'm kinda over the bacon maple glaze...nothing too exciting. Hey, Don't fret if you are vegan there are many options available too. I will post my vegan experience on my next visit. Today! Prices are very reasonable. If you are coffee drinkers they serve StompTown coffee. Parking available in the back. There are a few tables indoors and outdoors for seating. I haven't gone during peak hours so no issues with service and parking. But I am told that it does get stupid busy and they sell out often.

I love their vegan donuts, both yeast/risen and cake. Blueberry is an especially great flavor. They also regularly have vanilla, cherry, cinnamon, glazed. Can’t go wrong. Vegan donuts only available on the weekend. Employees are friendly and quick and parking is easy with a free lot.

Best buttermilk donuts on this side of town. Go early when everything's coming fresh out of the kitchen - the smell is just heavenly! Don't stop at buttermilk though, they have amazing cinnamon rolls, yeasted donuts, croissants and more. Plus there's usually three or four different brews of Stumptown coffee on the side. Service is always warm and friendly, feels family run.

A testament to good food served by good people. They even served us fresh warm donuts just because they came up right then!

Primo’s is the real deal. The buttermilk bars ignite your palette. The pillowy interior contrasts the crispy exterior. They also exclusively serve Stumptown coffee for a perfect pairing. We met Primo and loved his story of opening the shop. Easy parking. Payment is easy with Apple Pay. Line always moves quickly.

This place has been around for 40 plus years. I love their butterfly donuts. And they just opened up a new location in Westwood village.
