Great staff, fun menu with lots of options. Loved the unique design of the space. Had the bubka to start (which was insanely good) and scrambled eggs, latke, smoked salmon for a main. All of them were fantastic. Highly recommended. Be aware lineups can be long at peak times.

Definitely different from what I was expecting, but in a pretty good way! Interesting decoration at this modern deli in the middle of a strip mall. Delicious Reuben and the latke with trout was incredible!

Awesome deli in Silverlake with a great homey vibe to it. I had the Pastrami Reuben, which was fantastic. The meat literally melted in my mouth. I also had the chocolate bupka, which was a great decadent dessert.

The space gives off home vibes from a grandmother I never had. Pretty interesting set up. There's a bar and a coffee bar directly across from each other. I definitely recommend this place for a solid sandwich during lunch. Still have to attend for dinner! There is parking available and it's actually one of the least busy intersections, at the moment, on Sunset.

The food and drinks are amazing here, the jams are great as well. Definitely a place to come with close friends or date night.

Fantastic brunch! The sticky babka was an indulgent treat, and the Reuben to die for. Also enjoyed a cocktail with Sherry, Calvados, absinthe, and fennel.

This is one of the top restaurants in LA. It is a surprise it isn't a household name. Very underrated. Amazing people and service, and they launched a special Greek food summer menu under the name Greekman's. Make sure to get a reservation though cause the place gets busy!

This new restaurant is amazing. Truly a gourmet treasure tucked into a strip mall. The decor is charming and hip and the owner and chefs extremely friendly. But most importantly, the food is TO DIE FOR. My boyfriend and I shared everything. We started with the sour salad, containing avocado, cucumber, pickle and other delicious greens. Honestly, we never tasted anything quite like it and wished we had a huge bowl of it to take home with us. The latkes (potatoes pancakes) with smoked salmon are unbelievably delicious, and the white fish "cigars" (sort of like egg rolls) are succulent. And everything is priced very reasonably! Oh and the desserts--out of this world. LOVED the macaroon. Don't let the strip mall fool you—Freedman’s is a pure delight!

I’ll admit, I wrote this place off as another new hipster spot in the neighborhood. I could not have been more wrong! The meal we had here was sooo incredibly delicious and really stood out as one of the best meals I’ve had in LA. Order everything but definitely the Ruben ( it will be the best one you’ve ever had in your life, no exaggeration) and the brisket meal. I don’t know what they’re doing to their meat but it’s all so tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. Even had the lucky chance to talk to the owner and manager and a great set of guys with a vision of opening up a really solid neighborhood spot. And they did! Great food and great conversation. Will be back ASAP!!!

This awesome restaurant graced the cover of Bon Appetites best new restaurants in the US a few years ago. Their dish was featured on the cover. Freedman’s is a family owned spot. It was the first meal of our holiday. I ordered the dish that they had gotten so much press over, an updated latke and smoked salmon. The latke was super crispy and the fish was very delicate. We also ordered a few cocktails and some smaller dishes as well. It was a great meal, would definitely go back.

Not a traditional Jewish deli, but rather a smart, modern update on classic Jewish deli fare. Every dish I tried had just the right touch of refinement without being overly fussy. The matzo ball soup was unlike anything I’d had before. The broth was so delicate it looked like porcelain in the bowl. The latke was like a big crispy waffle and was delicious. The mutton was a much tougher cut than expected, and we found it quite difficult to cut through, but still flavorful and well seasoned. Even the cocktail menu seemed smartly put together, and not trying to do too much, but rather stayed within the concept of the place. Like the food, the decor also blends elements of old and new in a cool way. And pretty good music that was appropriate for the neighborhood it’s situated in. There’s a reason why this place isn’t on the Westside, and I for one am glad for it. Will be making repeat visits for sure. Favorite dishes: latke, matzo ball soup, beef tongue

Great food, loved the matzoh ball soup, which comes with maybe 10 perfect small matzoh balls, and the pastrami was delicious with a slight bbq undertone and unlike any other pastrami I’ve ever had! Also very nice staff and prompt service. A lot to like here.

Incredibly fun and delicious experience. Reasonable prices and cool vibe. Great cocktail and full bar menu but the food is not to be believed. We started with the chopped liver which is served with fantastic Challah--yes who would think Challah could be that great. The matzah ball soup was just perfect. Not salty and the matzah balls were moist flavorfull and the carrots so fresh. The pastrami is seasoned specially with pepper and served with delicious rye bread. The latkes are made in a waffle iron and served with trout roe. Very different but really good. And the apricot chicken is sweet and served with potatoes and is a whole meal onto itself. Save room for the black and whites which have a marshmallow frosting and are really tasty. My only complaint was that they didn't have soap in the restroom which they should stay on top of in future. But this is one of the best new finds in LA!
