Love this place. Great coffee. No hipster attitude. Eric the owner and roaster the most enthusiastic man in coffee.
I first had Alana's coffee via the LA Coffee Club (amazing subscription coffee service featuring local roasters - highly recommend!), and was SO excited to see them opening up in Mar Vista yesterday! Their specialty coffee is top-notch, one of my favorites in LA already, and I've easily been to 60+ coffee shops across the city. They've also got some interesting "fancy drinks" such as a Chipotle Mocha and a Pirate's Chai Latte. As a bonus, their shop has an awesome, trendy-chill vibe and the people there are so nice. Five stars without hesitation!
Brilliant place. I have been in the area for some time and just couldn't find a place with wifi & good coffee. My prays been answered. Cheers !! Keep up the great work !!
Customer service is spot on! Chipotle Mocha gives me life. The atmosphere is busy but cozy and actual glass mugs for patrons that have their coffee in-house. Perfect cup of Joe in the neighborhood. Reasonably prices as well.
My new go to spot to meet friends. I love their coffee, the music is awesome and the whole vibe is great. Love the outside tables. Also love their coconut tea. Seating is super comfortable.
Love so many of their roasts and welcoming vibes (bi-monthly buyer at the Culver City Farmer's Market)...can't wait to stop in at their new place!
Visited Alana’s today while visiting in California. Had an excellent Ethiopian coffee, and experienced great and friendly service. Since we’re staying so close, I’m sure I’ll pop in a few more times while in Mar Vista.
We loved it there. Best coffee place in Mar Vista. Like Douglas MacArthur said "I shall return"
Crazy great! Fresh, expertly roasted beans! No comparison anywhere...
Alana rocked. Lovely, generous people. Excellent cup. Wifi worked well. Who could ask for more.
Best freshest coffee in the area. Nice to know the roasters are right behind you when you're placing an order.
Great vibe, great coffee. Welcome to Mar Vista Eric

This is my girlfriend favorite coffee place in LA, I’m from Italy and I was visiting her and she wanted to let me try it as well. I have to admit that this place is great and coffee very very good!l and their croissants as well! Vibes are great and the atmosphere as well, nice interiors and wide backyard next to the big parking lot where people can work and enjoy a chat under a tent. I’m looking forward to go back there when I’ll be in LA again!
Coffee at Alana’s is decent, the drip blend starts out mellow and nutty but ends on a more sour note as you get further into the cup. They roast their own beans in house though so it’s nice to know that the brew is fresh.
This location has plenty of parking both on the street and in their dedicated lot. Not only is there lots of parking, but the actual shop itself has lots of sitting options from the front patio, to the inside, to the back patio area.
Coffee 10/10
Vibe 12/10
Service 10/10
Coffee is the best I’ve had in LA. I’m personally a fan of darker, bolder, earthier coffee and this doesn’t disappoint. Pastries are pretty good as well. The vibe in the back is amazing especially if you appreciate plants and ample seating!
A great coffee shop. I love both indoor and outdoor spaces. The prices are very reasonable and the service is great. I would visit here again
Extremely pleasant coffee shop with congenial staff. We sat outside in the back yard. It was raining lightly but there is enough of a roof to keep us dry. We had cappuccinos and then hot cocoa, both very good. We sampled the guava tool and the carrot cake, both very good

Seriously this place is a gem. Great coffee and pastries in addition to excellent service. There’s one guy who always makes me laugh and smile. Only downfall, there’s not always a place to sit but that’s just because everyone loves it so much.
The outdoor seating here is surprisingly peaceful, despite the cafe's location right on Venice Boulevard. It's a great place to unwind, whether you're looking to study or just relax. There aren't too many indoor seats available, so the outdoor option is your best bet.
One highlight is the quality of the coffee; I tried their origin coffee, and it was pretty good. The cafe also boasts a nice assortment of plants, which adds to the pleasant ambiance. An additional bonus is the lack of annoying bugs or flies buzzing around, making your outdoor experience more enjoyable.
One standout feature is the reliable and fast Wi-Fi. Unlike some cafes that limit website access or have sluggish connections, this place keeps you connected without any hassle. So, if you're looking for a serene outdoor setting, good coffee, and dependable internet, this cafe is worth a visit.
However, keep in mind that the indoor seating is limited, and it might be a bit crowded at times.
The coffee was very good.
The terrace was quite large and had a nice atmosphere.
One of the best coffee spots in Mar Vista. My favorite is the pour over, they make it in batches so you don’t have to wait forever for an amazing cup of coffee. Aldo’s upper dog friendly, I don’t who gets more excited for our morning ritual — me or my dog.
Alana's Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee shop that roasts their coffee beans. They have their own private parking lot and paid street parking nearby. There's free Wi-Fi and plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. They also have a beautiful back patio/courtyard with more seating. Two bathrooms are available in the back.
+Pour Over (rotating single origin) for $4.75 - This coffee is great. It's not bitter at all. - 5/5
Overall, Alana's Coffee Roasters is a sure bet for a quality cup of coffee. I would highly recommend checking them out.
Super cute coffee shop with outdoor patio seating and a free parking lot. Came here to grab an iced matcha latte in the morning and there was a long line that moved fairly quickly. They do have indoor seats as well and they’re dog friendly. It’s a good spot for studying and the overall atmosphere is very laidback. They have free wifi.
Small and cozy, but always a line during peak hours. While the inside seating is limited, the bakery selection is not. They've got quite the selection of croissants, muffins, and even kouign amann. Unfortunately we don't really drink coffee.
There's a small parking lot with free wifi, no wonder the seating is always full.
Pretty fast service and the ambiance is cozy
I recently visited Alana's Coffee Roasters in Venice and I have to say, I am absolutely blown away by their coffee. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and cozy decor made me feel right at home. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make sure my experience was enjoyable.
But the real star of the show was the coffee itself. The beans are clearly roasted with care and precision, and the flavors were so rich and complex that I found myself savoring every sip. The cappuccino I ordered was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of foam and a lovely, velvety texture.
While I was there, I couldn't help but notice that they didn't offer any MatchaDNA drinks on their menu. As a huge fan of matcha, I think it would be amazing if they could start serving MatchaDNA too. I have no doubt that they would up their matcha game and offer the same level of quality and excellence that they do with their coffee.
Overall, I would highly recommend Alana's Coffee Roasters to anyone looking for an exceptional coffee experience. The quality of their beans and the level of care that goes into each cup is truly unmatched. If you're in the Venice area, do yourself a favor and stop by Alana's Coffee Roasters - you won't be disappointed!
Great spot, but docked points for how much Morrissey music they play. Imagine the color “gray” as music. No thank you. I would like coffee and joy, not depression.
At least the croissants are good.
Good coffee and espresso choices. Limited seating inside but good seating area out back. Almond croissants were very tasty. Recommended.
Perfect coffeeshop spot! Cute patio and great selection of delicious coffee
I just love this place since it opened a few years ago here in mar vista! The coffee is really really good and the staff are always friendly and let you feel welcome. The back patio is nice and sometimes the do comedy shows there as well
Latte was absolutely delicious. They have their own coffee beans. They had a long line but service was fast. Parking is very limited just like every where else in LA. Definitely worth the visit.
Best coffee ever! First time visit driving from Long Beach to meet family there. Service was excellent and very knowledgeable about the coffee process and product offerings specifically for our preferences.
