I've been eating here recently after my workouts at Gold's Gym downtown Los Angeles. Their happy hour sushi rolls and specials are pretty tasty. Not necessarily all that big, but still a good value. Sashimi salad, which is the in the picture, is very good. Nice atmosphere, more like a sports bar, but the sushi is decent.
Very attentive and helpful. Quick seating and great beer selection!
Good atmosphere and super friendly and fun staff. Recommend the Gulp Bomb and Ramen
Great experience! Thanks Sarah for such wonderful service! Great recommendation on the garlic edamame!!
I ordered the red dragon sushi and it was delicious! The aesthetic (industrial rustic) and atmosphere is very nice, perfect for date night. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It is a little pricey, but well worth it. The service was very welcoming and fast, although I did come on a Tuesday evening. There is plenty to do before or after eating. I will definitely visit again and hopefully soon.
They have a really good sushi chef, and their fish is very fresh. Nice atmosphere also, not the typical sushi bar atmosphere. It's more of a sports bar. I really enjoy it. Little bit of a minus, the wait staff is clueless.
Great space to hang out that serves a solid selection of beer and cocktails. Their happy hour menu is solid as well. Rolls to sashimi to Japanese friend chicken. It's all on point. Staff is great and the prices a very reasonable for a nice spot on Figueroa and 7th. Check it out!!
This is a review of their happy hour!
Came here before a dinner reservation for their happy hour specials. It’s located within a outdoor shopping district so that was unique but pretty cool. We were able to do a little shopping afterwards too.
It’s a very interesting idea, a sushi bar combined with a brew pub, but I love it! Not something. That you see every day.
We got two drinks and two apps. I got the gulp bomb which is a pint of Sapporo and a carafe if sake, and my gf got the rose. Both about $7-8 each.
We also got the tuna and crispy rice appetizer, as well as the Japanese fried chicken. Both were really good! The tuna app was fish on top of a little rice ball that was crispy on the bottom. The fried chicken was little chicken nugget sized bites.
I can’t comment on their normal food, but it looks like they also offer AYCE sushi on certain days and times for $27. I’d be very interested in checking this out at some point.
Waiter was nice, they also validate parking
