Best BBQ in Lubbock! Brisket and turkey breast with the beans is the way to go in my opinion. Sausage and ribs are good too! Must check it out for yourself.....you won't be disappointed.
Have a beer and wait for your food at the bootleggers lounge. They have an awesome selection of liquor. Weather your into the high end wine,whiskey, or scotch. Even on a budget they have the selection for you! Check them out.
The food was excellent, but we got there just before closing and all they had left was 1/2 lb of chopped brisket and bbq chicken and turkey breast. The brisket and turkey was excellent. The chicken was good but needed some bbq sauce (like usual for chicken). The sides were awesome. I would definitely go back.
Truly my favorite BBQ in Lubbock. Well worth the drive, you won’t regret it!
Today was the 1st time I have been here and it is one of the best if not the best bbq places I have ever eaten!! definitely a favorite will have to visit again very soon!
We decided to let the Shack smoke the turkey for us this year and it was a great decision. We had a full house for Thanksgiving and everyone loved it. We will definitely recommend and let y’all do the cooking in the future.

It was some of the best BBQ I have ever had! Rustic setting, not expensive. Slow smoked flavor. Choice of sauces on the table.

First time at The Shack yesterday and it didn’t disappoint! From the Lean Brisket, Turkey, Pulled Pork, Loaded Potatoe Salad, and Pinto Beans! Whew!!! �

It was our first time and it did not disappoint! The pulled pork was super moist and the ribs were very tasty! Loved the atmosphere!

The best brisket in the panhandle, hands down. Juicy and smoked to perfection with an insanely delicious bark. So good we ended up taking home another half pound for later.
It's not just the brisket though...the sausage was great but not too greasy, ribs were tender and fell off the bone, and the sides I had were excellent. The pinto beans are made with little bits of brisket and just enough pepper to give them a little kick, the mac and cheese had a great taste and texture and, unlike most BBQ joints, you get generous portions of everything.
Will make any excuse to come back to Lubbock to eat here!
Great BBQ! Had the Brisket and Beef Rib. Very tender. Sauces were great, ranging from sweet to extreme spicy. Sides were solid, we got the coleslaw which tasted fresh and the loaded potato salad was good as well. Too bad the Mac n Cheese and Collard Greens were sold out so I didn't get to try them. Banana Pudding to finish it off and it was all worth it. The only negative thing I can say is that their bread is plain and if they toasted it it would be perfect.
If you like good BBQ, this is it! Driving through the area and I’m glad I didn’t have to drive far into town to get good food. Some of the best Texas BBQ I’ve had in a while.
Truly excellent barbecue. Stopped on a whim during a road trip, we knew we were in for a treat as there was a line forming before they even opened.
A very friendly lady took our order and helped us pick a few things. The chicken was the best barbecue chicken we've ever had, perfectly cooked, amazing seasoning. The brisket and the sausage were also excellent, the pulled pork was a bit sweeter than we usually go for but delicious. I highly recommend the loaded baked potato salad and the green chili mac as sides, both were worth the trip all by themselves.
If we ever find ourselves near Lubbock again we'll definitely have to stop by.

Open at 11 Thursday- Sunday until sell out. Great food as always. They have an dining room as well as an outdoor covered patio - both are nice size and clean. Be sure to try some of the best BBQ in Lubbock!!
This place is deceptive - looks small, but is much bigger than you think. Good BBQ, dont wait too late though. They are open till they sell out, which can be quick.
Called the Shack to cook me a Brisket for my birthday. Everything went according to plan at pickup. When I got home and unwrapped the brisket, the bark was beautiful and the aroma was out of this world. I started slicing it up and sampling the goods at various point. Melt in your mouth brisket with an unforgettable flavor, taste and smell. I told everyone that came to my birthday party that I slaved over my smoker all night trying to make it perfect. Everyone was shocked that I had produced such a great brisket from the cheap smoker in my back yard. By the end of the night I let everyone off the hook that I had in fact purchased it from “The Shack.” Scott and the team were so easy to deal with.
Don't pass this place up its definitely a gem! People are really nice and the food is the best! Pulled pork had so much flavor and the bbq sauce was bold just how I like it. They have different ones but the spicy was very good.
