This restaurant is perfect for Portuguese culture. The food is amazing and the portions are huge. Despite the fact that some dishes are slightly above $20, the food you get and the portions you get are money well spent. I highly recommend this place!
This is just simply a real, traditional "taska" ! Portions are great and the food is succulent. The owner, Jack Nuno a/k/a Rocha is always on hand to make sure every meal is prepared and served perfectly. You may have a small wait some nights but it worth that and a whole lot more !

We were referred here by my daughter's friend, to try on our way to UMASS, and boy we weren't disappointed! We had great service, awesome Caldo Verde soup, big portions and great Portuguese bread! Their chocolate mousee was to die for! It was a friendly ambiance and ate to the sounds of a live accordion player! We will be back!!!
Is no need to say anything. The place itself talks alone. Food is way more you expected when you walk in. Congratulations to Primavera and all the Crews that work there.

This is a gem. I have the opportunity to work in this area 6 to 10 times a year and this restaurant has become the primary must do on the list. The food is outstanding, the service is efficient and courteous, most of all its personable and real. Whether you are Portugues or white as Wonder Bread you will enjoy this outstanding dining.

Our extended family dinner at Primavera was a highlight of a recent visit to Ludlow. Steak on a Rock was amazing, the Salmon was perfect and the seafood was flavored impeccably. If you live in Ludlow and have not been here; go there. A great reason to visit Ludlow for everyone else!
The place was updated and homey. I love the tile shingles inside the restaurant and the Portuguese plates used as decor. My prego (steak sandwich) was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The febras were also cooked well. The soup was okay. Being that I love caldo verde (kale soup), I felt it was missing flavor and/or had too much potato. Lunch menu is very limited!
Sadie is the best waitress I've ever had! My wife and I loved the food, the family vibe and the atmosphere. We would definitely come here again or even get take-out. Crave worthy food.

Haven't had the pleasure of a 6* (yes SIX stars on a five-scale) restaurant in ages but the Primavera Cafe in Ludlow is the real deal.
Reservations are strongly suggested.
The restaurant is spotlessly clean and artfully decorated with great spacing of tables that allows an intimate feel for each group of guests. There are several outdoor tables too, but it was raining.
We were greeted warmly and seated promptly and got a chance to look around and appreciate the decor. Everyone on staff was very busy as the cafe filled yet all were smiling and going about their work with such obvious pride, it was a pleasure to witness and experience a really great team working together. Our service was perfect.
The food is excellent and the portions were large. The chef did such a great job that the normal cafe conversation volume dropped as we all dug into our wonderful meals. My wife had the skewered meat and all the pieces were cooked perfectly, the beef was a perfect medium rare as requested and came with a great flavorful sauce. Seasoned rice and tasty 'round potatoes' rounded out her meal.
I had the Seafood platter a' Primavera and it was a generous portion perfectly cooked and seasoned. Clams, scallops, shrimp & fish which melted in my mouth it was so perfectly cooked and truly delicious. Despite both of us being pretty hungry, neither could finish our meals. Generous portions and very reasonable prices.
The desserts were also amazing but we were really full so we shared a chocolate mousse and she had a excellent cappuccino. We suspect the desserts are all home made and we will be back soon to find out.
PS. It was raining and the first thing our server did was bring us each a cup of vegetable soup and it was so delicious. I remember saying, "Wow, if they cook our food as well as they made this awesome soup, we are in for a fine meal."

Just recently made a quick stop to Primavera on our way back to Canada from Fall River, MA and they did not disappoint. Fantastic portion, fantastic service, FANTASTIC FOOD!!! We made no other food stops back to Toronto, only bathroom because our stomachs were still quite satisfied even 8 hours after.

Primavera consistently delivers Portuguese cuisine that makes you feel like you're on the other side of the Atlantic. Solid service backed with amazing food in a great Europa setting -- I'd enthusiastically recommend this restaurant all day long. This is one of the best restaurants in all of Hampden county.
This is my and my wife’s go to for a random Friday night. For me, it’s the only place to get really good octopus in the area (don’t knock it ‘till you’ve tried it). My wife almost always gets the lamb chops. They have wonderful clams and mussels too. The only warning I’d give is that it seems like everything is really garlicky. Now, we love that, but it might not be everyone’s cup of tea. The service is always wonderful. Professional, but familiar. Just a wonderful, friendly place.

One of my favorites restaurants. Food is amazing. Staff is great. We bring different friends so they can experience the culture and atmosphere that Primavera brings. I have been to Portugal a few times now. When i walk into this place is like I am back at Portugal, just alot closer :). I always get the surf and turf. The steak is so good and so juicy that u do not need any A1 sauce of any kind. The last time I went they had black beans also on the plate and they were delicious. What a great addition to an already amazing plate. For starter we get the chorizo. My friends love it because they staff brings it out in a unique way, which is that the meat is still cooking ontop of an open fire for about 2 minutes or so. Very cool. My wife gets the grilled squid and she licks the plate almost every time. Now when it comes time for dessert, I am already stuffed but my wife gets the chocolate mousse and boy is it delicious. I always joke with the staff when they say how was the food, I always say that I didn't like the actual plate because I couldn't eat it lol. If you want to have a great time and visit another country without leaving the states, then come to Primavera. You will fall in love with this place just as I am. Thank you to the owner and to each member of the staff for making our experience a delightful time. I cannot wait to go back. Until next time.
