Came here and we had the crab cakes, rockfish gyro, and mermaid water cocktails. The crab cakes were $38 and come with 2 sides. They were worth the price in my opinion because they were larger than what I get almost anywhere else and had no filling in them! Tasted delicious! The rockfish gyro was tasty too and affordable. The mermaid water cocktails are served in a large glass and made well too. The atmosphere is some of the best for a place in Calvert County if you eat outside. Our waitress was slightly inattentive, but overall the experience was fantastic!

Food was very well portioned. Great atmosphere for lunch. Nice pool, docks, and restaurant. Service was very good too.

I have been here a few times over the last year and a half. It's very hit and miss. Sometimes you get real good service and average at best food and other times the food is great but the service sucks. This last time we went with a few friends and we had to wait for almost 25 minutes before a waitress came to our table. The place was only about half full, and they had plenty of staff just not well managed and seemed like no one knew who had what tables. Once we asked twice for a waitress, one final came and took our order. She was very good and we had no issues with her. The food this time was really good and came out extremely quick, which was surprising as the last few times I was there, the place was half as full and took twice as long. The drinks have always been good, so there is no issue if you're there for a few drinks. It's in a very interesting location a bit of the main roads. The views of the water and atmosphere outside here are very nice. If you can't sit outside, choose another place. If this place was properly run, it could really be a great place, but right now, I would say it's only just above average and really depends on the day.

This has an incredible outdoor deck with great views right on the water. You can catch a great sunset here. The menu has the basics but also some unique eats. We had the Haddock bites, Ahi tuna, and Fried oysters. The oysters were freshly breaded and had the perfect taste and consistency. All the items we ordered were exceptional. Service was good. Prices are reasonable and we felt the quantity of food was perfect. They had Flying dog on draft which is one of my favorites and rare to find around here. Highly recommend.

Not sure why this place get such terrible reviews. We’ve been here twice since the new management took over and both times the food has been good and of course the views delightful. Best of all, since people are still not coming here, there’s always a table available with no wait on the lovely outdoor deck with a sunset view. I’d really like this place to survive but also don’t want it to be discovered if that makes sense. Oysters on the half shell were plump delicious and the fish and chips and fish tacos were good. It’s not super gourmet but none of the restaurants in Solomons are either. The point of coming here is to enjoy the lovely view on a beautiful day and this completely fits the bill. Also, the orange crushes made with fresh squeezed OJ are still great. Still greatly miss the old tiki bar vibe with the bands and partying in the summer, but this more low-key version of Vera’s is still solid and very pleasant. Service by Rachel was also excellent and prompt.

So I loved Vera’s. I felt bad though because I couldn’t give it a thorough review. One, because during Covid, everything feels so watered down. They didn’t have their full menu available and I’m sure if they did, the experience would’ve been better. But as far as service, our food actress was also our bartender and the drinks were really good. (I really only get margarita’s so...go figure🤷🏾‍♀️😂)...Two, we got full off of appetizers so we didn’t order dinner. (Sorry, I forgot to take a quick pic of the wings)...but I’m not worried because I definitely plan to go back when the weather gets warm again. This place has some beautiful scenery and I want to spend a couple hours eating, drinking and hanging out taking pics this summer!😍 (3 stars on the dining but they get an extra star simply because of the ambiance and the fact that they have palm trees in good ole MD! 😂🥰💪🏾

This place is amazing!!! This is the only place I will go to sit and eat steamed crabs. I had the haddock bites for the first time this past weekend and they were so fresh and they load up the plate. I love their key lime pie but my friends are always salty about them not having a chocolate dessert.

Great place overlooking the water. No tourist trap here - this is the real deal. only complaint is that my crabs were served about 20 minutes after everyone else's entrees. but despite that, I would definitely recommend.

We’ve been going to Vera’s for many years and yesterday was the BEST! The steamed shrimp, crab dip and steamed crabs were top notch and we are very snooty when it comes to our seafood. The waitress was adorable and very attentive. And no one was there! I was happy but it was weird and I think they were surprised there at the restaurant. There was an impending storm so that the only thing I can think of. It made for the most perfect dinner. Also we met our cousins and they were allowed to bring their pup! I love Vera’s location right on the river too. So beautiful! I just love it there and I think they deserve a shout out!!

We went as a large group on a Friday afternoon. The ladies who waited on us did a great job. All kinds of food was ordered. I wish I would've gotten a burger because they looked delicious. I got an appetizer of calamari and shared an order of fries. The calamari was crisp, just as I like them. A large serving and I was stuffed. My friend got a half order of steamed shrimp and was disappointed they weren't shelled. The decor of the place was fun. Also a great view.

I truly enjoyed Vera's. We went for a birthday party of 10 and they were very accommodating. Our servers were GREAT and very friendly and professional. The food was great, the crab cake was really good with mainly crab meat no fillers. The fish and chips were great too!! And the view is AWESOME from inside and outside. I recommend on Sundays to go around 4pm to beat the later crowd. 😄

What a beautiful night with great service, great food and a lovely atmosphere. Our waitress was Nobi and she was just wonderful. She was so tentative even as the restaurant got busier. The food was great! We had oysters, crab dinner and fish and chips. We sat inside due to the humidity, but we plan on going back so we can sit out on the patio. This is definitely a hideaway location. If it wasn't for the big sign on Rt 4, you'd never know it was there.

Great location right on the river with a view of the water. Food was delicious and served efficiently. Only downside was the noise level because of the hard surfaces. If it was cooler out, it would’ve been great to eat outside.

Vera’s is a great hideaway to grab a casual bite. The menu is not extensive. The rockfish gyro was good. Other options include burgers, wings, fish and chips. The crab cake sandwich was generous and had good flavor. The chicken Cesar salad was large. Their drink menu is large and they offer mock tails. I plan to come back again.

Had a great time at Vera's during happy hour and live music. Went on a Saturday for their 50¢ oysters which was a great deal and they tasted wonderful. The service was great and I loved the grapefruit crush. The views alone are worth going here.

Had the best fries topped with crab dip I've ever had. Went in the off season for lunch so not much going on but the layout with the marina looked like it would be a great place to hangout for a day. Waitress was very nice and talkative. We would return for sure.
