Always our go to restaurant when we are in Macomb. Ordered a burger to share and came to the table already cut in half on 2 different plates. We appreciated that! My absolute favorite is their portobello mushroom fries! So good!! WE highly recommend this place!
Probably the best place to eat in town. Love this place and the martinis of course! Tried their new stuffed portobello mushroom cap...Dddelicious!
Austin values that place and cares! His hands are full! He will be one of the reasons we come back!! Great service and food too!! We had the Portabello and the Hot Lips pizza...both delish!! Blue Cheese dressed salad was yummy!

Amazing staff. They made Work fun!! Bartender was awesome. We sat at the bar. Very knowledgeable about drinks!! Had us try something new because he made it sound great (which it was very good). He was very friendly!! Treated us like we have been coming there for years! My first time there! Food was very good!! I had chicken lips for the first time. Extremely awesome!!! I had a great experience! I will be back!!!
Exceptional food and very fresh!! It only took ten minutes and it was still great even after an hour drive home to Burlington!! Will definitely be back!!

A simple, delicious, menu.
Could be be a tad pricey for anyone looking for just brunching. Drinks can range anywhere from $15 to $25. Thats not bottle. This is one of our favorite spots. Dating back to the Jazz at the Garage days. A nice, clean, crisp atmosphere and decor, along with a delicious menu make it a nice Sunday spot.
I had the Lip Smacker and the Portobello fries. Both were absolutely amazing. The Lip Smacker was huge and the chicken was done perfectly. Good service too!

Love, Love, Love this place! It's great for lunch or dinner. I go every time I'm in town and have yet to have a bad experience! They could use more seating but the small setting adds to the charm!
Get the Lips!!. Living in Macomb, I've eaten at Chick's a few times. Never had overwhelming service, but always had good food. The "lips" are just big pieces of chicken (I don't get the "lips" thing, but whatever...), battered and deep fried. Quite tasty. Even better is the delicious blue cheese -- they may make it in-house.
Good food, great drinks. Specializing on martinis. Place is super small, we have to travel to eat there and there have been plenty of times that we end up somewhere else because of the wait. Trying to get a table for more than 4 is quite difficult.
Best unhealthy food in the nation. This place is awesome. EVERYTHING on their menu is great. The chicken lips are fantastic and the best cheeseburger I've ever had, and the baked potato soup is outstanding. I currently now live in Denver, Colorado and you bet I dream about lips on a weekly basis. I will be making the 12 hour trip home for Thanksgiving and you can bet I will also make the additional 2.5 hours to Macomb just to enjoy this restaurant agian!
Amazing food! They have limited space and getting a table can sometimes be difficult but the service is good and I've never had to wait long for my food! You defiantly get what you pay for!

Great food if you can get a seat.. Chick's is a bit of an oddity in Macomb. Most restaurants here have about three times the space they need, and serve the type of food you would expect to find in a town like Macomb. Chick's actually serves delicious, albeit mostly unhealthy food, and is roughly the size of a small apartment. This leads to long wait times; a problem that is magnified if you are in a group larger than four people.
As mentioned, the food is really good. Their specialty are the uber-unhealthy "lips" - deep fat-fried chicken strips coated in about an 1/2 inch of batter and then slathered with wing sauce served, of course, with your choice of ranch or blue cheese. They do have other entrees as well - burgers, wraps, salads (don't know why you would come here for a salad, but hey), two delicious soups, and even a couple above average pizza selections. The wait staff has always been above average. They do have a full bar, and, I believe (although I have never gone at night), the place turns into a martini bar at night.
Again though, it all comes down to whether you can get a seat. Including the bar, the place can really only hold 50-60 people at any given time. Even in a small town like Macomb, it fills up quickly during the lunch and dinner hours. I continue to keep my fingers crossed that they will move to a bigger location one day, but until then - get there early, plan on hitting the treadmill after, but enjoy the food at one of the best restaurants in the area while you are there.
We picked our food up curbside and it was very good! The prices are decent. The portions are huge! We got no napkins or silverware with our order though, kind of hard to eat a baked potato without a fork...luckily our hotel had some. 😊
Chickuccine is amazing, BBQ Jalepeno burger is great, potato soup is good, waffle fries are good!
So delicious! Had super friendly staff! I got the loaded baked potato soup, and the chicken tortilla soup. Both were great, but the chicken tortilla was absolutely my favorite! Soooo amazing! I also got the mushroom Swiss burger(can’t remember the name of it exactly), and it was so good also! My boyfriend loved his burger as well(also, can’t remember the name of his, but he was very pleased). It’s a great place to eat with plenty of options to choose from! Definitely recommend, and need to go eat there again ASAP!
Whenever I'm in town I try to eat here at least once. Whether it's eat in or carry out, the food is excellent; plus, the portions on a meal are something. You're in for left overs to be sure.
The lip spud is amazing! My meal was hot & fresh. The chicken lip was juicy The curbside pickup is the best if I would have know to call ahead I could have saved myself some time. The employees were really nice.
Food is great, my husband loves spicy food and they definitely have it! Word of caution, if you don't like Buffalo chicken sauce, or spicy food, it's not as good of an experience. The plain Chicken Lips are lacking in flavor without their sauces. I do highly recommend the loaded mushroom appetizer. Perfect gluten free option!
I'm visiting my family from California. We dined in Monday night and had a great dining experience. Food and appetizers were delicious. Server was great. Went in today for lunch and although the food was great, our server, a skinny blond girl, seemed annoyed we came in. We felt rushed ordering and not a pleasant experience. Myself coming from the food service industry I wasnt at all impressed. She needs to work on her Customer Service Skills.
These are some massive chicken lips. You won't leave hungry. The fried pickle spears were awesome as well. No picture because we ate them so fast.
I'm somewhat of a local, and if you've been in Macomb for any amount of time you very likely know what Chick's on the square is. I appreciate a well run business of any kind and Chick's to me is a great example of that. Good quality control, friendly staff, DELICIOUS food, and a Martini list that will blow your mind for a small place like Macomb. I had always ordered chicken from here up until this week... and what prompted me to write this review is how freakin' GREAT their burgers are. You can tell all the ingredients are top notch. It was cooked perfectly to what I ordered and seasoned well... I just cant say enough good about this place. If I could give it an 8* I would. Keep it up guys!
