The bartenders were awesome, the drink menu was huge and the crowd was great. Love the atmosphere and drinks!

The Robin Room is a favorite spot of mine! It serves well-made cocktails with high quality ingredients and close attention to detail. The bartenders can generally talk you through what to get if you're overwhelmed. The Blood and Sand, the Last Word, and the Aviation are ones we routinely get. Their draft list is also solid.
Keep an eye out for the pop-up events! We've attended a couple, and the food is always very good. Order food for pop-up events at the window in the back though.
If you're meeting friends, or going there for the first time, just note that the name of the bar isn't obvious. You're better off looking for the light-up pineapple!
Good atmosphere, great cocktails. A little pricey, but it's well worth it.

I'm reluctantly giving this place 5 stars, especially after so much confusion. We had heard that this place had great burgers, like avocado and pineapples as toppings. When got there we asked the bartender about a food menu, she looked confused. After some talk, we all figured I was probably thinking of Red Robin, not the Robin Room.
So no burgers. The bartender asked if we wanted a drink and I said sure: Blood Mary, but the way I do them, not her way. That didn't go well. Apparently they don't like suggestions on how to do their drinks. Also, no Bloody Marys. So I asked her if she knew how to make a Tijuana Titty Twister, a very popular drink when I was in High School. She had not heard of this drink, which is odd because this is supposed to be a fancy bar. So I told her the ingredients: Monster Lime Soda, Mt Royal Light whiskey and gin. She then informed me she wasn't sure what she was more offended by: that someone would drink that or the name of the drink. Whoa, definitely not in McFarland anymore.
The interior was very cool, with a retro hippy fern bar vibe to it. There's a unisex bathroom in the back, like in London where men and women go in the same room. Weird, but this is Madison. Overall, I liked the place, nice staff that kept asking me if I was okay and nice interior. To get my super duper 7 star rating, this places needs burgers though. Think about it.
I ordered and loved La Louisiane, and they have an Old Fashioned on tap. Hi, millennials!

Are you all about that vibe? The Robin Room serves up some cozy vibes and fancy drinks. I friggin love this little spot. It's tucked between an amazing plant store, a tattoo shop, and a vintage clothing boutique. Kinda creates the perfect little afternoon. Stopped in here with a friend on our Saturday funday and ordered the French martini. Very light flavor and easy to drink. We only had the one cocktail, but I easily could have had several of these.
Staff was friendly, the drink menu was extensive and they had beer on tap too. We came at a good time (4 PM-ish) to get seats at the bar because it got packed really fast. It's definitely a popular spot. Make this a stop on your weekend fun days!
Really enjoyed the vibe, good whiskey selection, including many allocated whiskies. Expansive cocktail menu, everything I've had was fabulous including the tap beer and mixed drink. The location was clean, classy but comfortable, and inviting. I'll definitely be back. This is a somewhat intimate place with smaller tables and bar, as well as a fabulous-looking leather couch by the window to people watch if that's your thing.
Seriously one of our favorite bars. The staff is engaging and clearly enjoy what they do and the crayons they make. Well done!!
I love the vibe of this bar from the bartenders to the typical visitors. It's a slightly older crowd than further south near the campus, which I really enjoy. Fairly priced, and the Robin Room is an overall good experience.
Hands down my favorite cocktail bar in Madison. I could sit here all day and just watch the bartenders in their element. I haven’t had a bad or mediocre drink here. My only complaint is how busy it gets and how frustrating it can be to try to order something, but that’s just a testament of how great this place is.
Great atmosphere and cocktails! Speakeasy style bar with a great selection of craft cocktails, classic drinks, and microbrews. Their glassware game is on point. Lots of variety!
Great little place for cocktails with someone special. Outstanding selection of spirits and a cocktail menu that should satisfy whatever mood you’re in. I really enjoyed the Boulevardier. The bartender was phenomenal and helpful with many great suggestions from the menu. It was our first visit during a trip out to Madison and we’ll definitely be back next time while in town.
