Such a fun place! Nice and open and light with plenty of games! The beer is amazing! I have been gluten free for 6 years due to health issues and this is the first gluten free beer that I have liked! I miss dark beer and this dark beer is Awesome! Even my gluten loving friends thought it tasted like a great craft beer! Get a flight!

The 2016 Great American Beer Festival held in Colorado awarded ALT Brew's 'Copperhead' Copper Ale a Silver medal in the gluten free beer category, making ALT one of the only Madison breweries to medal this year. Typically offering 6 beers on tap, the seasonally rotating list has continued to grow from its original 3, to over 10 beers.

I have never tasted dark gluten free beers like the Copperhead and Blackwater. This is absolutely 100 percent some of the best stuff I've ever tried since going gluten free over a decade ago. Cannot possibly recommend enough.
Fantastic place! Great decor, tasty beer and snack, and our bartender, Zach, was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend, even if you're not gluten free.

It was so nice to have good beer again - it's one of the things I miss most after my Celiac diagnosis. The beer is amazing, even my non gluten free friend was impressed. Food was good and everyone was so friendly. Next time I'm in Madison, I will be back.

We love their beer, they've hosted events for great organizations like the Doyenne Group and Pups for Pints not to mention their friendly staff. A brewery that does good in the community and brews great beer, what more could you want?

Taproom staff has always been helpful, but never more than when the brewmaster towed my car back onto the parking lot in the rain! Can’t recommend them enough.
Stopped in on a quiet Thursday and chatted with bartender and another patron. I didn't know it was a gluten free brewery and to be honest wouldn't have known if I hadn't been told. Beer was good
A hidden gem!!!! I am NOT gluten free but have a madison beer passport so we decided to stop here to redeem our two free ones. We got the California common and the hazy IPA. I was blown away by the selection and every single beer we tried we liked! We liked it so much we split a 4 beer flight after. The blonde ale was ok but everything else was awesome. We will definitely be back!

For you gluten intolerant folks out there, this is a cool place to check out, gluten is not welcome in here, not in the beers or the food. For those who aren't into gluten free beer, there's a real sweet arcade here and a television for watching a game.

I've been gluten-free since I was 15, so I've never really had beer. I assumed that all gluten-free beer would be terrible, as is the unfortunate trend with so many other gluten-free items.
I'm thrilled to report that ALT Brew is the exception to that rule. It's so refreshing to have a place where I can order ANYTHING on the menu, which is a feeling I never fully appreciated before I went gluten-free. And it's GOOD, too! Finally a place where I don't have to just "make do" with a few options. My only regret is I didn't check them out sooner!!
