I could write a book on this goodness. The hush puppies were the best tasting pups that I have ever eat. The burnt tips were delicious. The pulled beef and pork was great!! The Mac and cheese wasn’t on the menu yet, but was as equally the best tasting around. The ribs surpasses the ribs that I have eating all up the east coast. We even ran into friends from school that have equally enjoyed eating at Butts. We had a very friendly waitress that was awesome. The whole of the establishment was so down to earth and friendly. Great place to eat!!!

Loved this little place on the Creek with leaves falling and smell of barbeque in the background. Food was great, beer was cold, and the server was as gracious as she could be. The sauces were great and not overpowering like some of these chain barbeque places. Wished I would have tried the fried corn but I will get it next time, I will definitely be going back.

Stopped in late but we're greeted by smiling faces. Great service and the food was bangin'. Cool glass works studio and gift shop. A lady was blowing glass so we actually got to see the artisan at work; it was very cool. Neat atmosphere , good food, and friendly staff. We will definitely stop in again next time we pass through.

The service was great and the food was incredible. We got the The Burnt Tips (it's not on the menu, you have to ask for it) and the Ribs. The meat was tender and flavorful. Overall we had a excellent experience and we will definitely be back.

Loved this place. Outside sitting on the screened in porch over looking the creek. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of it!

We’ve been a handful of times but never know what to expect. Service is hit or miss, just depends on the server you wind up with. When they’re not soggy, the fried pickles are great. The brisket also had a nice smoky flavor the last time we went.

None of us are huge bbq eaters but we saw how good the reviews were and how good the menu looked so we decided to try. Omg Francine that Mac and cheese omg. It was sooo good and my Mac attack burger was everything. Smokey wings were awesome, Everything was just great. Also all three of their house bbq sauces were tasty as well. I highly recommend this place to everyone

I have eaten at this BBQ restaurant many times over the past 10 years or so. The food and service are always excellent. I have thoroughly enjoyed everything I have eaten here. The restaurant is known for its porch seating over the creek, which is quite nice with natural ambiance. There is also a side porch that is dog friendly, which I utilized on this visit, as my dog was with us. This visit I was not in the mood for BBQ & had a side sampler. Wings are also considered a side. The collards were a bit spicy & flavorful. Mac-n-cheese very creamy. The wings were some of the most flavorful I have had. Coke products & excellent tea. Beer & wine selections also available. Parking is free, but not plentiful. There is a steep descent off of the main road onto a gravel parking lot. Two clean, single-stall restrooms. There is a great little antique & glass shop on premises as well. You can watch the artist create glass pieces & even make a special order. The shop accepts cash or check only. The restaurant accepts cards.

We stopped in on our way through Maggie Valley. Its such a neat little restaurant. They have a screened in deck that overlooked the creek. Its almost like eating outside, but you're completely covered. The creek is very pretty and relaxing. The food we ordered all tasted delicious. Our waitress was nice and friendly, but I wouldn't say the service was fast. It seemed a little busy and maybe understaffed. We weren't in a rush, so it wasn't a big deal. I would for sure stop again.

Excellent down home BBQ. Initially we dismissed this establishment because we couldn't smell the BBQ but boy were we WRONG! Big portions and big flavor are exactly what we were looking for. Hand breaded onion rings, Brisket Burger (ground on site), Mac n' Cheese, and amazing Smoked Pork Loaded French Fries. Don't pass on this place you'll miss out!!

Pleasant surprise finding such excellent BBQ in an unremarkable location. Literally everything my friends and I ordered was great. The meats were smoked perfectly and the seasoning was fantastic. The side dishes were great too. (I recommend the smoked wings as a side dish). Parking is not great, but if you happen to be in the location for for it!

Very good food! Great meat options and plenty of sides. The brisket baked beans are a favorite side of mine. Desserts are also amazing.

On the way to Cherokee, NC, we encountered Pop's Butts On The Creek and decided to stop there. My friend bought a T-shirt from the gift shop and after viewing the menu, we chose to stay there to grab some dinner. The location is really nice with both outdoor seating and screened in dining as well. Our server was helpful and suggested putting any 3 sides together for an appetizer. We chose the hush puppies, Mac and Cheese, along with the fried pickles. They came out quickly and also included a couple of slices of grilled Texas Toast. The hush puppies and pickles were amazing! The Mac and Cheese was a little dry but still had plenty of flavor. For dinner, I ordered the All-American Brisket Burger with a side of fries and my friend ordered a side of baked apples. My burger was delicious! The fries were plentiful but lukewarm at best. Had they been hot, their taste would have been so much better. My friend liked and enjoyed her baked apples. For dessert, she ordered the banana pudding and I ordered Pop's Bread Pudding. Both desserts were huge and really tasted good! They were a wonderful way to finish off dinner. I also recommend the fresh lemonade as it was refreshing and great! This is a hidden gem in Maggie Valley and I highly recommend seeking it out on your next trip to West North Carolina! It's worth it!

We really enjoyed the rustic atmosphere of this place. The service was really good and the food was average. I got the pulled pork on Texas toast. I did have to put quite a bit of Carolina sauce on it because the pork didn't have that smoked flavor and was a little bland. The fried corn on the Cobb was really really good. Coleslaw was average for me, but my husband loved the baked beans and Mac n cheese. Service was excellent. It was a nice visit and a cozy experience. Not over priced and portions are good.

Super good! Ribs are juicey and pull apart just right! Smoked but was some of the best I've ever had! Everything was delicious. Got a 3 on service cause they forgot to put the collared greens in the carryout bag. My wife called them about it and there was no good resolve!

Arrived late but they stayed open to serve the 3 tables of people. The bbq pork sandwich was very good and tender. Good view of the creek. Noticed as I was leaving they had outside seating.

Fabulous food, place, atmosphere, staff! And we ate on patio with dog watching the creek out 1 direction and watching the glass blower inside making more exquisite trinkets. My husband bought me a crystal sandwich with pink "I love you" - awesome! Ribs were amazing, meaty, tender and I had 4 left to bring home. Hush puppies instead of Texas toast were cooked perfectly and tasty. Fries good. Corn very good. Slaw was excellent! We ordered 3 dessert to go: peach cobbler, banana pudding and bread pudding. Haven't tasted yet. We will absolutely be back and recommend to others!

The name alone, we had to stop. Nice view of the creek while dining. Delicious pulled pork, fried corn on the cob (never heard of this before) and Mac n cheese is good as well. Definitely save room for the bread pudding with ice cream and baked apples!

The food is out of this world and I'm saying that from a VERY picky BBQ eater's perspective. Our waitress was so kind and attentive, however, I believe they need to make quick work of the frontend. We had to go look for someone to assist us with a table and the waitress ended up also being our seating hostess. That part was slow and disorganized. However, the food was the best and I would definitely go back.
