Wow wow wow! This was the greatest dining experience of my life, hands down. I obviously had massive expectations but my time there still far exceeded those! Where to begin?
F&B: absolutely delicious! Fresh and we'll thought out menu. Lots of options for a variety of pallettes. The cocktails were well curated and unique.
Service: possibly the biggest highlight. We had trouble making a reservation but they accepted my wife and I as walk ins and sat us right away (Monday 4pm). We had trouble deciding what to get so the waiter asked us how much we wanted to spend and our dietary preferences and curated a surprise menu for us. We had 8 courses, each being a surprise and he asked for feedback after each one to ensure we enjoyed the rest of it. Best service I've ever received, really made us feel like VIP guests. Thank you so much!
Atmosphere: goes without saying - immaculate! Right on the water, beautiful sunset and lovely use of the space making it feel quaint and private as opposed to other Nobu locations like NYC where it's jam packed and loud. They even allowed dogs here which made for some fun conversation with other patrons.
This place was really beautiful! We took so many pictures by the beach. And the waiting area with the couches is so nice. The service was also really friendly. We didn’t have a reservation and we still were able to get a walk-in at a reasonable time. They have valet parking. The drinks were great and so was the food! Highly recommend
Honestly this was some of the most spectacular food I have ever consumed. The quality and atmosphere are both worth every dime! The views, perfect. The staff, perfect. Drink and everything else in between, we’re also undoubtedly perfect; but please, do not make the mistake of forgetting to book a dining room or outdoor seating reservation at least one month ahead!
We love Nobu. What great food and room
And service. The only negative is it’s almost impossible to get in. We sit at the bar as usual and the view is unsurpassed in Malibu. The crowd is hip and trendy and almost impossibly young. LA at its finest….some people I know think that’s a negative. I love the vitality and energy. It is pricey but hey the land alone is a fortune and so it is what it is. Everything we had today was stellar. I especially loved the Dover sole ~ omg incredible. The eggplant was amazing and all the sushi is top notch. Just an awesome place🎉
Loved it!! The service is amazing and they're so quick to help out. The fish is the best I've ever had. It melts in your mouth! And the view is spectacular. Would highly recommend
Incredible. Food was objectively so flavorful, nothing was overdone and yet so complete. Thank you so much, Rubin for designing the ideal menu for us on a beautiful Friday night. God blessed us with a sunset! 10/10
Went to Nobu for lunch & had an amazing time! Nobu really can’t miss in my eyes, everything was fantastic from the oysters to the steaks! Went to celebrate a young king’s birthday, and had an incredible time! The restaurant has some of the best view in the city, such a perfect vibe!
I know a lot of people say nobu is overrated but my meal here was honestly amazing. There are amazing Pacific Ocean views, the ambiance is great and the service is excellent. The food was phenomenal. I enjoyed it more than some Michelin star restaurants I’ve been to and actually spent less than in those places.
Such an incredible experience! Ambiance, views, service, and food all 10/10. You must get the yellowtail jalapeño cold dish. The crispy rice with spicy tuna was also great. Well, everything was amazing actually! Awesome mocktails as well. This is definitely worth the $$.
Enjoyed food and drinks at Nobu. The martinis were very good. The tuna rolls were great, not fishy at all. There's a nice view if you're able to get seaside tables. We walked in and were able to get on the wait list. Sitting at the bar was nice, you can watch sushi being made. My only complaint is that service is slow, it was hard to flag someone down for service.
🍣 Food:
- The innovative Japanese cuisine at Nobu Malibu was exceptional, starting with the yellowtail and jalapeño sashimi, which set a high standard for the meal.
- The tuna tacos offered a creative blend of traditional and modern flavors, while the black cod miso dish, a Nobu original, was a rich, buttery delight.
- The Wagyu beef, cooked at the table, provided a unique interactive culinary experience. The sushi was notably fresh and skillfully prepared, and the lobster stood out for its exquisite flavors and textures.
🤗 Service:
- The staff at Nobu Malibu were incredibly attentive and personable, contributing significantly to the overall dining experience.
- Their knowledgeable recommendations enhanced the meal, and the sense of feeling welcomed and valued was evident throughout the evening.
- The service was seamless and professional, maintaining a balance of attentiveness without being intrusive, a hallmark of fine dining.
🌊 Atmosphere:
- The breathtaking location along the Pacific Ocean, with stunning panoramic views and floor-to-ceiling windows, created an unforgettable backdrop.
- The minimalist design of the spacious restaurant offered a serene and uncluttered environment, perfect for enjoying the meal and the view.
- The ambiance was further enriched by the gentle sound of waves and soft background music, making the patio seating an especially enchanting dining spot.
Had a good time here. Valet parking $15. Nice staff. Stopped by for a drink and to hangout for a bit. The place is beautiful and would come back again.
Yes, it’s super bougee. You’ll be spending $100 minimum and you won’t be full. It’s also a famous restaurant with friendly and attentive service. You’ll probably see some Instagram celebrity dining inside, and maybe some rapper or NBA player dining outside. Yet it’s still worth it, because the food is that good. If you’re in a group, simply tell your server how much per person you want to spend and they will make their own menu for you within your established price limit. Some items will even be off the menu but super delicious. Would totally come back, but only once in a while. Gotta eat instant noodles a few more months to afford another meal here.
If you’re a big eater, I’d advise to eat an hour prior as their portions aren’t big. All the portions are small but extremely delicious. The view is amazing too. Can’t beat it. The drinks & food are top notch. The service was great. I was able to get a table the day prior because of a cancellation. I was lucky. Otherwise you must book 3+ weeks out. Also, valet parking is your best option unless you get very very lucky with street parking. Not many options near by. Be prepared to spend $100-$200 per person.
Easily my fave restaurant ever! And you can’t beat the view, and hearing the sound of the waves crashing. *Chefs kiss*
The food is consistently amazing. Service is fast and attentive, especially as all the servers help with every table.
My favourite things to get (aside from the amazing fresh sushi):
- Monkfish Pate with Caviar
- King Crab Tempura Amazu
- Caviar Tacos
- Wagyu Tacos
- Japanese Wagyu (Hot Stone or Truffle Butter preparation)
- Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna
Can’t go wrong with any of it. There’s a reason this place is always packed!
I recently dined at Nobu, and I must say the vibes were absolutely amazing! The restaurant's ambiance was top-notch, creating a stylish and trendy atmosphere that made the dining experience quite enjoyable. However, when it came to the food, I found it to be just alright. While the presentation was impeccable and there were some standout dishes, others left me wanting more in terms of flavor and creativity. Overall, Nobu is a great spot for a special night out, but the food might not completely live up to the high expectations set by its ambiance.
Cocktails are so good, the service was impeccable and all staff members were so friendly. We walked in for lunch and got lucky to enjoy a great view with delicious food and drinks.
Reserved a table for 3 with an hour wait, so we went to the bar and ended up ordering food from the bar.
Great bartenders and waiters.
Sushi, crispy rice, hand rolls, and sashimi were amazing!
Awesome place for fancy dinner with your loved person. A lot of seafood. You can order everything from menu sitting on the bar if no reservation was made.
