Love love love the food. Great gyro salad, great wings. Great Greek food, priced amazing too!
I don't know I haven't eaten there yet but everything I see looks pretty good I might stop in for something to eat and a few cocktails

Never a dull moment ,what's not to like
Probably have one of the best gyros in St. Louis. Not only that, but their other food is pretty tasty as well. Also it's reasonably priced.
A favorite for Greek food in St Louis. Whether it's a gyro salad, hummus, or my personal favorite pastichio this restaurant does it all well! Also great for some all American classics as well. I love French fries and Michael's has some good ones!

This restaurant has their own tea lady and that's all she does fill's our tea glass and as you know we are big tea drinkers and keeping that glass full gets a 25 % tip...
Parking is a bit of a problem at noon parking across the street , small lot and crossing Manchester but it's worth taking a chance crossing the street..
Yes we recommend you drive out of your way to try this place, it does get some what busy at noon, but the crowd moves pretty fast , great people watching place..

Today our waitress was Stefania and just like all the other employees she was FANTASTIC.
We had the burgers and they too are FANTASTIC...
You have to stop in here and enjoy lunch even if you only can stay 30 minutes ...
I ordered some carryout from here. I tried a bit of everything. Salad was fresh and made well. Tzatziki with pita bread was pretty good. Also tried a bite of my girlfriends gyro which I thought was good as well. Overall I'd say it was a win for this customer. Good value and good flavors. Thanks Michael's!

Really good hamburgers available in two sizes. A fun bar and grill with a Greek twist. Greek Salad and Avgolemono Soup are always favorites.
Burgers with cheddar, babay. I have never ordered anything other than the Michael burger (medium-rare) with cheddar. Add a cup of the cheddar spread for dipping those thick cut fries, and a beer and you're a very happy camper. I don't care for cheddar spreads, but whatever they do to it here is worth the price of admission.

Neighborhood Bar and Grill. We live very close to Michaels and LOVE this place. The owners are incredibly sweet, the food is delicious and the drinks are very affordable. The atmosphere is like a the T.V. Show Cheers! "Everybody knows your name!"

I branched out and tried the burger last night and it was pretty good.
The service can be a little dicey when it's busy but that's not surprising at any restaurant.
This is a great place. Very busy all the time. I have been in this restraunt more than 40 times and the food is always great. I have never had bad service.
I love it!. I have eaten there monthly for at least 10 years. The service is always excellent, the employees are attentive, the food is always perfectly cooked and served and the prices are fair. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get a nice Greek meal without any pretense. They make the best Gyro's in St. Louis and they are modestly priced. They also make the best Buffallo wings (I always request that they fry them extra crispy and do it!).
Great Restaurant. I used to live close to Michael's and I love their salad and bread. I moved two hours away and I have not found a restaurant like it in Cape Girardeau. The staff has always been very friendly and the food is always delicious. I did not realize how much that I would crave it. So in a nutshell... My husband and I LOVE Michaels and hope that they continue to be in business so that I can go there when I am in town.
All around OK. Service was definitely not the best I've had but you can't deny the awesome food. I had a gyro and it was amazing! Fries seemed like an odd pairing with such a great greek dish but I cant complain because they were good too! Someone at the table next to me ordered the greek salad and it was huge and looked great. I plan to try it the next time Im in!
Great service. Went to Michael's Bar & Grill The service is 4 or 5 stars if the food is average. They do not let your soda or ice tea get below 1/2 way. Kudos to the bus boy and to Debbie who was our server. For starters we had calamari and saganaki. Both were top tier. I ordered the rack of lamb and it was cooked just the way I ordered it. Around the table there were two gyro's and one chicken kabob. The gyro's look fantastic the chicken kabob was chicken enough said. For 4 people the bill without tip was $82.00. For that money we had all the above listed food and soft drinks no alcohol was ordered. I think the price to value is also there for the place. Good job Michael's keep up the great job.
Lunch was fantastic. The portions were decent sized. My partner enjoyed a really decent hamburger,,,I know, it's nothing fancy, but it was cooked perfectly, great taste ( I tried it ),,
I had the "chicken club"..a great sandwich and the steak fries were perfect.
Service was outstanding.

Greek Salad, Large with a Bloody Mary... every time. The service is great. Friendly waitresses, kindly drunks offering chatter... what more could you want? Oh yeah... they have a GREAT Greek Salad and they serve a mean Bloody Mary. Sometimes I just GO here for the Bloody. Worth it. Every time.
Great Gyros for lunch. A small group of us went for lunch and sat downstairs. Gyros and French Frys were awesome! One person in our group got a Gyro salad and I wished I had gotten that, just looked really good, lots of feta if I recall. We enjoyed good service and food.
A "Go Anytime kinda Place"..... We just love Michael's! been going there for many years now, and the excellent service and wonderful food hasn't changed one bit. IT'S WONDERFUL. A very casual place and fun place to meet a friend(s), or great for a late night romantic dinner too. Mainly American-Greek food and just so yuuuuuuuuumy!!!! I recommend the Gyro Sandwich or the Steak Sandwich and don't forget the Home-Style Fries(you may have to specify these). or - just get the Salad; you'll LOVE the Salad too. Enjoy!
Love the zucchini sticks!. Michael's is great for many reasons, among them, their fried zucchini sticks. They cut them like french fries and they are the best I've had. The service is fast, friendly, and drinks are never empty. The only con I can think of is that they do have smoking inside, though it is not noticeable in the downstairs dining room.

Their Michael's Special Salad, Gyro Salad, Hamburger with a scoop of soft cheddar and Salmon Dinner are our staples their.
Oh, they also have the best Chicken Picatta in town!
It will be even nicer when NO Smoking is adopted county and citywide.
Consistantly good food. I love the Michael's salad, gyros, hamburgers wings and just about anything I've had there. Service is always brisk and friendly. You can't go wrong. Inexpensive too. We like to sit on the patio in nice weather.
This place is consistently GREAT!. The Shrimp Piccatta is the best thing on the menu. I have had just about everything and this is still my favorite. YUM!

Excellent Greek. Everything I have tried here has been excellent! Hummus and greek salad are must-haves for me every trip. The grouper and tilapia are perfectly cooked, and they gyros are wonderful! Warm, toasty pita bread with tender strips of lamb. Service has always been good, better when the crowd is small, but that's to be expected. Menu is very reasonably priced, you will not be disappointed!

My neighborhood local.. I used to live in the neighborhood where Michaels is and it had become my neighborhood local pub. I go there two to three times a week. The people are great, the place is small and can be smoky but the food is tremendous.
The owner Michael is Greek, so the menu is a mix of American pub grub with Greek traditional dishes. My recommendations are:
The best chicken wings in St. Louis bar none. It is crispy, the sauce is perfectly tangy and hot.
Tiramosalata. It Greek caviar dip. Very tasty, Gus the head waiter makes it himself everyday.
The Greek octopus appetizer. Grilled octopus with onions and capers in a vinigrette dressing, incredible.
The calamari. I know, the calamari appetizer is ubiquitous but this one is very special, especially when it is paired with the garlic sauce.
The Greek salad is a killer, made fresh and zesty.
Michael's burger. 10 Oz burger, plain, unadorned, just great meat.
Braised lamb shanks. Fork tender, served over noodles along with the braising liquid, incredible.
Rack of lamb, outstanding version of the Greek classic. Served over mushroom rice.
Roasted chicken, roasted with Greek spices and lemon, again, excellent.
I miss Michaels. My friends in St. Louis will go and then call me up when they are there to tell me how great it is, just to hear me sob on the phone.
Michael's Bar and Grill is one of those nice little neighborhood places that keeps people coming back. I'd heard it was a good burger and I wasn't disappointed in the least.
Best. Greek salad. Hands down. I swear, I could eat it all the time. And I typically don’t order steak out unless I am at some place decadent/geared towards beef (see Annie Gunn’s below), but their steaks are even decent. Basically, it’s just an all-around, tried and true bar and grill (see their thick ol’ steak fries).
We love this cozy yet popular restaurant. I ordered the large Greek salad, and my husband ordered the gyro salad. Both are huge. We also ordered hot wings and a basket of fries. Their wings are tossed in Buffalo sauce and Parmesan cheese and are phenomenal!
Some of the best food I've had in a while. The chicken, the burger, and the fries were absolutely amazing. Will definitely be coming back.
What a lovely experience 😊. I was visiting from out of town, I'm from Europe and have a love for Greek food. My friends brought me here to try the gyro, which was delicious and authentic, I also tried a delicious sweet and savory dish of warm feta wrapped in filo pastry, than drizzled with honey - hmmmmm brought back memories of my visit to Greece. The highlight of Michaels is not the delicious food, it's the wonderful staff and cozy ambience. I will definitely be returning- thank you to Athena for being so attentive and making sure we had a unique and special experience - ευχαριστώ 🙏
Michael’s offers a selection of entrees such as steaks and some seafood, but the highlight is the Greek options. The gyros are outstanding with house-made fresh pita, and the hummus is garlicky and delicious. The avgolemono is good, and the pastitsio and spanikopita are some of the best we’ve tried. They’re frequently busy, so consider a reservation.
I can't say enough good things about this place!! It's my favorite restaurant in the city!! The most hard-working and friendly staff you will find in the industry!! Order the gyro salad and get extra pita and your night is set. The food is absolutely dynamite and you can't go wrong with any dish. Michael's salad=perfection. Also, the chicken wings are outstanding!! 11/10 recommend!
This is my go-to to when I'm hungry for Zucchini sticks.
I'm not a vegan, but these delicious and oh so tasty Zucchini sticks are the best around St. Louis by far. Mind you, I have tried several restaurants that offer these as well, but the taste, along with the freshness of these, beat frozen ones out big time. Michael's uses fresh zucchini to make this scrumptious appetizer or entree in my books, as I ate the entire order for my lunch. See their menu I included in my review along with they have Daily Specials too. It's great for a get-together with friends or family, too.
Rare, do I give 5 stars, but this place had such a wow factor that I gave them a happy dance. The salad was delicious, and the French dip was equally good, absolutely amazing. Our server was wonderful, very accommodating with out be overbearing. The general mood of the place was so uplifting. I can not wait to go back
I am speechless. 11/5 /22 My friend and I sat at the bar last night and despite Of being extremely busy, our beautiful bartender took excellent care of us I wish I Had asked for her name. The service and the quality of the food meets and surpasses any fine dining restaurant in St. Louis. I let the photos speak for themselves as for the quality and the professionalism, presentations. It's still a bar, but with a more enjoyable atmosphere, but once it fills up it gets kind of loud and cramped, but the AC is always cold, it's essentially a 15 $20 a person meal but the food is so worth it.
It's a place I will take my kid for lunch or my wife for a date or just pick up some food because I don't want to cook.
