The food was v delicious. Our shared sake steamed mussels came in a kind of sauce which was uniquely fresh and v tasty. For the main entré , I chose the Brasilian moqueca and my goodness , it had the perfect balance between fresh taste and sea food variety.
the side of white rice had a very subtle and smooth coconut flavor which was complimented perfectly with the crunch of cashews. I finished my last bite at the perfect warmth.

I enjoy Coda. Unique and seasonal food and a great beer selection. Staff is incredibly attentive. Cool for a sit down dinner with friends or some snacks solo at the bar.

Awesome! I've eaten here plenty of times and the food is always fresh made to order! I love the Short Rib Grilled Cheese! I also ordered the Tuna Tartar & the Sizziling Sashimi Salmon...wasn't a hit for me but still fresh...just wasn't for me. But other then that I'm always satisfied when eating here!

My go to local haunt. Recommend it to LITERALLY everyone I know. As a Realtor, my clients )potential Maplewood/South Orange/Millburn residents) are always asking me where to go to eat/hang out/get a flavor for the towns. CODA is it!
Met my girls here for brunch and the food was delicious! Our server was so sweet as well. I had the crab and avocado omelette SO GOOOOD!! They don't have coffee and Bailey's, so the martini drink Midnight Train was recommended and it was so good! Definitely going back in a few weeks with hubby and mom-in-love!
We have ordered pick up from coda a number of times. This was the first time we dined in. The food was super good. The politeness of the waitress was great but they missed the kids order. She was honest to admit that she forgot to put it in. The Halibut and the morrocan meat balls were my favorite.
Ok we truly enjoyed it here. Food was great, drinks on point and pricing good. Service was good but as many places short staffed but we enjoyed ourselves and I'd like to return.
Soooo yummy! Page helped us pick out a delicious late lunch. I had the butternut squash soup and pulled chicken sandwich. It was all phenomenal. My friend had the lentil chili and Caesar salad with blackened shrimp. We enjoyed the staff, food, and ambiance very much.
Sitting and ordering at the bar or in the dining room Coda is my go to drinks/food place. Menu has lots of options and certain to run into a familiar faces. Personal favorite is the kitchen Cobb salad with salmon.

Excellent cocktail bar in the heart of Maplewood. The bartender who made my drink used to work in the city and it showed. He did an excellent job with my cocktail, served food quickly, and overall made it a pleasant experience. I look forward to returning!

I visited Coda kitchen and bar on a recommendation from a friend. At first, I was not impressed with the appetizers. The calamari and fried cheese was nothing to rave about. however, we each ordered something different from the menu and thank god. it definitely changed my mind about the place, lol.
I ordered the blackened chicken sandwich, and wow was it good. it had a little "kick" to it, add to that, the honey mustard sauce on the side and wow. An amazing sandwich. The burgers were also very good. The classic burger was good and the jam burger was amazing, if you like smokey flavors then the jam burger is for you!
For dessert we had the "blondie" which is their version of a warm brownie with vanilla ice cream. It was delicious, soft and enough chocolate chips that melted in your mouth. However their flourless chocolate cake was AMAZING! it was warm, moist and oh so yummy!
Rachel, our waitress, was very nice and great in following up and making sure we were taken care of. The drinks were also amazing. Overall, I would recommend this place and I would go back. Perhaps I'll try something else for appetizers.
