This was our first visit for a grooming appointment. One of our two dogs can be a difficult client. He HATES fur dryers. Our groomer, Lizzie, was so kind and patient with him. She is willing to work with his fur dryer anxieties. Our boy came out smiling and looking oh so handsome.
Our other dog is a much better behaved client. She came out looking so adorable and perfectly groomed. Not a fur out of place.
The front desk staff was welcoming, kind and helpful. They made our trip easy and scheduled us out for four additional appointments. We believe we have found our new “Pet Salon”

My 2 Lovely Aluskies were groomed here for the 1st time and they did an amazing job at cleaning and trimming them exactly as I requested leaving my Aluskies spring fresh for hours after they were groomed. My family and I couldn’t stop showering them with extra hugs of affection! The only sad thing was that one of my Aluskies got shampoo in their eyes, which was very frightening because he could barely see, his eyes were very irritated, sensitive to light, and he was compelled to attempt to relieve the irritation by rubbing his eye with his paws. The team alerted me immediately upon my arrival and confirmed that they washed his eyes with an eye cleaning solution and that he should be fine after 24hrs and if not, I could bring him back to see the Vet for further analysis and treatment. I also purchased some eye cleaning solution as recommended, which helped a lot, yet it seemed to get worse before it got better. Lizzy was so helpful, kind, and sincerely cared for my baby. The Vet was very understanding and accommodating for this unfortunate instance, but thankfully we did not need a return visit because he started to get better. We were afraid for him, but we’re happy that he is doing so much better now, and that’s all that matters. Aside from that, overall they did an EXCELLENT job, better than a number of groomers I’ve attended in the past, and the team followed-up with me to check on both of my babies to make sure they were okay. Because of their genuine care and the excellent work they did on their grooming, I’d still recommend going to Exceptional Pets, where you’ll have a one-stop-shop for your pet care needs.
My 3 pups looked so good after their bath and grooming!!! Exceptional Pets Maricopa did a fantastic job and my dogs came out so happy (which didn't happen at the last groomers.). They also got their shots/vaccinations at Exceptional Pets and they had the a wonderful vet who really cares about your pets. I will tell all my family and friends about EXCEPTIONAL PETS MARICOPA ❤️
Friendly staff! Fast speedy service. Got my dog nails trimed. Got in and out within 15 mins! Only $15 dollars and nice and rounded. Will be coming back from now on. Nice to have in our town of Maricopa.
We have boarded our dog here several times and have always had a great experience. She is an Australian cattle dog mix and pretty standoffish with new people and other dogs. Exceptional pets has always done very well accommodating her, making sure she is with an appropriate play group, and getting lots of play time and attention. I love the option to add on special treats each day of her stay such as a pig ear or other chew treat to make it a special experience. Have used them before, will definitely use them again.
Always on point! My furr baby comes out happy, looking and smelling like a a million bucks. I love that they put these handmade ties on the doggies after their grooming! The staff is super friendly and attentive.
I took my one dog to Exceptional Pet in Maricopa for routine health check-up and shots. They were so kind, caring and professional. My dog had an allergic reaction and they had me take her back immediately to care for her. I would recommend them to everyone with pets in Maricopa!!!
We’ve dropped off our Zeus a few times now at Boarding and he loves the staff! Because of his size, we choose the suite which is very clean and big enough for him. He adores playtime with the other dogs and we can watch him live right from our phones. The report cards given to us each day he stays make us smile and thankful for the staff for taking care of our big boy while we’re away!
We’re so excited to have an Exceptional Pets here in Maricopa! The staff is super friendly and you can see that they genuinely love animals. Our new puppy is 4 months-old and the doggy day care is a perfect opportunity to socialize him more with other dogs and people. The boarding option will be extremely helpful too if needed if we go out of town and can’t bring our fur baby.

We have been bringing our two dogs to Exceptional Pets Maricopa monthly for grooming. We really appreciate Lizzie’s patience and expertise in working with them. The entire team at this location has always been friendly and accessible and thorough.
Cadence is an Frenchton puppy, she enjoys when we take her to pet daycare. The pet care-person yesterday took really good care of her and seems to enjoy what she does and as a pet owner that means a lot. She made new friends had a good time socializing and playing. Cadence had a great day and so did we knowing she was taken care of. Ty
Exceptional pets is amazing. Great place to take your pet. Brandie goes there for play time. Everyone is so kind and loving. I never worry about her and she loves it. It's so good for her to beable to be with other dogs. We drive 35 minutes one way to take her there, and so worth it. So happy exceptional pets is available.
I was very impressed with the vet in the past, so I tried out the groomer to trim my cat's nails. Excellent service and a fantastic job. Thank you so much, I will be back for sure. They also had food for my picky cat and she loves it. 💘
Brought my Pug here & I got exceptional help. Dr.Miller is the truth really helpful & knowledgeable of my pug . The techs were very knowledgeable & consistently giving advice on how to maintain a healthy diet for my pup . I’ll definitely be coming back again.
I have used Exceptional Pets a few times for boarding my dog Luna. They are very kind and gentle with her and I know they take good care of her. She is always wagging her tail when I pick her up. Thank you all!!👍👍
