I was here for the lunch buffet. I saw all the reviews about service and I did not get that feeling. The server was warm and friendly. I think sometimes Americans do not understand other culture's demeanor. Not all cultures constantly smile like Americans. The food is comforting Persian classics. I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Although they tend to be inconsistent in quality, the lunch buffet is worth the trip. When the Persian craving comes and I don't want to pay the prices for the Sandy Springs establishments, it gets the job done. I have only eaten their lunch buffet. They could use a dish that they put more effort into making stand out, then for their price it would become a real hit.

Great Meal for Little Money!!!. Mediterranean Grill Shish Kabob is the kind of place you might drive by and dismiss, based on their unassuming exterior. We ended up there with friends, because it met the three criteria of the evening:
-- It's conveniently located near the Big Chicken, in Marietta.
-- It's inexpensive.
-- They allow you to bring your own wine, without a corkage fee. (Another nod to saving money!)

The restaurant was having a private party at 9:00 and perhaps because of that, their menu was somewhat limited: no lamb or fish. So ... three out of the four of us, chose the same entree: chicken barg. We agreed it was delicious!!! A nice portion of succulent white meat chicken, delightfully seasoned and grilled.

Meals are served with perfectly-prepared rice, topped with saffron -- very good and flavorful -- a basket of pita bread -- and a shared salad. (The salad was incredibly skimpy for four people -- but that was my only complaint.) We all shared hummus, which tasted good and homemade.

Usually I read reviews before trying some place new, but I didn't with Medeterranean Grill -- so we had zero expectations. Sometimes -- like this time -- it's worth taking a chance. We will be back!

October 2011 Addendum: They no longer allow byob-- they claim it's a permit issue -- but .... the salads have gotten bigger and the food is still delicious and reasonably priced! Check it out!

LOVE IT!. I go to Shish Kabob at least 2-3 times a month for their Lunch Buffet.. It is SUPER GOOD and always ready to go. Though sometimes it takes them a little while to replenish certain items on the buffet. The staff is always nice and helpful. Anytime I entertain people at my place I go there and get 2 to-go boxes of meat, veggies and Hummus and make a great spread for my friends to enjoy and it is usually under $15.00 to do this.

Everything on the menu is awesome - well prepared, authentic, and tasty. The lunch buffet is a great value and features Persian favorite as well as Tabouli and light fare. Unlike most buffets, the food is fresh! Highly recommended.

TLDR: Food was good, communication was not. I was lured into Shish Kabob (place behind Brusters Ice Cream) today for luch based on the sign that it was a Mediterranean Grill and a large BUFFET sign in the window, and I was starving like Marvin. I parked and walked up to the door only to see a smaller sign that said the buffet was only on Saturday and Sundays. I checked the menu and ordered two items off the lunch menu Gryo wrap ($6.99) and Large Salad ($2.99. When the plates came I was super impressed with how fantastic the "large salad" looked. It even came with chicken! It was delicious and I would totally order it again even for $7-10. The Gryo was a little bit dry for my liking but still a good value. When I paid the check I got charged for the "Greek Salad" ($7.99). I was also charged a "service fee" of 20% in addition to my tip. Having said all that I will probably still go back to check out their weekend buffet someday, and maybe even once in a while for their "Greek Salad".

Authentic Persian food. I really enjoyed every bite; the portions are solid, and you may have some leftovers. The smells and taste of the spices really bring out the authenticity! We'll definitely be checking this place out again.

Delicious food and sweet service. If you're scared of new experiences, let me Americanize it for you: kabob is amazingly grilled meat! I could eat the rice on the side all day, and the grilled vegetables were sooo tasty. I'll probably start coming here instead of cookout because I'm sure it's healthier too!
