Reviews The Recovery Room

Visiting and looking for good food. A lot of other restaurant reviews in town were mediocre. Here for one night, we needed a hit, and this place was it! I had nachos with the veg burger crumbled in it for a vegetarian option. Fantastic and flavorful! Salsa and guac made in house rival my own! Hubby got a burger made from fresh (not frozen) angus, gas grilled. It tasted like summer cookout! Crispy and potatoey crinkle cut fries were the best I've ever had. If we lived here this place would be our mainstay. It is quieter than other venues and we appreciated that. It's nice not to have to yell to have conversation. Roomy place with a very warm cozy feel. Patrick the manager was friendly and genuinely concerned with our experience. And the place is immaculately clean. I appreciate that!

The food here was awesome. My husband tried the Reuben and said it was probably the best in town. I had an appetizer of the spinach artichoke dip. It was different from what I would think the dip is but it was still delicious. Now, the first burger I was given came out burnt however, the waitress was quick to bring me a fresh one and it was superb! I wish I had never seen that first one at all. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, the food was great. Even with the one misshap, we still plan to return and I still recommend you try it!

They are so friendly here, and it's nothing like before the new management! It tastes amazing and is reasonably priced. I was pleased to hear they make almost everything fresh, home made soup, dressing, and Two Hearted Ale fish batter. I've been here twice and will be back. Also a great selection of drinks for the evening!

Great food, great prices, friendly and attentive wait staff. 18 beers on tap with 11 of them being from Michigan. 4 out of 7 wines are from Michigan. We got the appetizer sampler choosing the southwest egg roles, coconut shrimp, and queso frito... amazing!!! Other choices on the menu include soups, baskets, burgers, sandwiches, salads, homemade dressing, tea, cocktails, and cheesecake. The atmosphere is comfortable, classy but not stuffy, not overly loud, and has a lot of character. The owner is enthusiastic and provided great customer service. Would highly recommend!

Great Experience. The owner is involved with customer service which is great. The burger was much better than the sports bar across the street. Great chicken strips too.

The food is amazing. Try the ruben, we were there for just the day and had to order a second ruben just to take home.
