Just tried DD Mau for the first time today. What a welcome addition to Maryland Heights! I recommend trying the chicken rice bowl with the Vietnamese Vinaigrette, and the Vietnamese egg rolls are some of the best I've ever had!
It's been years since I've been walking distance to a good Vietnamese place, so when I started a new job off Dorsett, I was PUMPED to drive past DD Mau STL.
Honestly one of the best Bahn Mi I've ever had, and the price for what you get is pretty much unbeatable. I don't go out to eat a lot because the availability of healthy options in STL is always hit or miss, but the food tastes like it's straight out of one of my friend's mom's kitchen! So light and fresh!
Looking forward to trying the Pho Ga and Combo Pho. I'll be back as much as my diet allows!!
I live fairly far from most of the Vietnamese restaurants in STL, so it was an absolute surprise when I heard one would be so close to me (2-3 minutes drive).
They provide a great selection of Vietnamese dishes that I can constantly cycle around. My favorite right now though is the pork vermicelli bowl (with extra pork and noodles of course). The pork is grilled just right and it's a perfect mix of meat and fat. The veggies are scrumptious and fresh and instead of being just a garnish to the bowl, it's honestly the main star when you add the vinaigrette to it.
But most importantly, they serve pho! And it's so close to me, so whenever I have a craving for it, I'll be able to eat it within minutes!
There are so many apps, entrees, sauces, and drinks to choose from, however you honestly can't go wrong with any choice. So try something new and I doubt you'll be disappointed.
Portion sizes are generous and regardless of what dish I get, I am always left full and happy but without the guilt or the 'heavy' feeling after eating a big meal.
All in all, I'm so happy DD Mau is here close to me and I hope they're gonna be here for a while!
Soooo good! The owner is kind and helpful. Tons of flavor in everything we tried. Ice coffee is delicious. Had to come back the next day for more coffee and food.
I had the pork bao sliders and a chicken salad bowl. Everything was fresh and delicious. I'm excited to have this place in Maryland Heights!
Excellent Vietnamese food in the area! Prices are very good, it's made to order, and it comes out very quickly. I'd recommend this to all my friends and family. Give it a try!
We had the pork bao sliders, pork spring rolls, and a vermicelli bowl for carry out tonight. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever had! So delicious. The girls working tonight were also very helpful as we are newbies to Vietnamese cuisine. We will definitely be back!!
DD Mau has delicious, fresh food and wonderful service! Everything I tried (rice bowl, bao slider, and crab rangoon) was fantastic. I have a new favorite restaurant. Thanks, Julie!

Amazing food and great service! Oh and plenty of vegan options! Absolutely loved the iced matcha green tea latte and tofu spring rolls! Can’t wait to try more of the options!
Great, fresh food! Everything we’ve tried so far has been wonderful. The restaurant is clean and modern. Service was fast and friendly! Highly recommend. We will be back for sure :)
Fresh, healthy and delicious! I'll need to go back again and again to try the whole menu. Very friendly staff.
Food was excellent, people were nice, great local place with delicious food. I’ll definitely be back since it’s just down the road from where I work.
The food was exceptional—especially the Pork Bao sliders!!! The prices are also very reasonable. Will definitely be back!
The food is fresh and so tasty. The steak was marinated to perfection!
Ordered the shrimp banh mi, but there was a mix up and it got rung up as pork.
They offered to make another, but I said the pork was fine.
It was more than fine - it was fantastic!
Very impressed. Been in twice so far. This place should succeed.
Get the pork! You can taste it that it was grilled and the marinade was phenomenal in it.
Overall, I had a very good experience here. I had dinner there with a good friend of mine back in June. It was my first time. As you'll see from my photos and videos, the restaurant was pretty clean. Since the men's restroom was fairly decent, I went ahead and gave them a rating of four stars because in many establishments, the men's restroom is always neglected. That is always a huge selling point for me!
Additionally, the food was pretty tasty! I had an iteration of fried rice with chicken cooked in it. That was pretty good! But, the four-star rating is appropriate because this was not a five-star experience, nor was it expected to be that. For the most part, I enjoyed the food and the service was pretty good, too! I would definitely visit this place again.
We typically patronize the Webster Groves location but decided to try this one since we were in the area. I ordered plain fried rice with steak. My hubby had....I can't remember... Nevertheless, our food was delicious as always. The restaurant was clean. The tables were clean. We visited during the lunch hour and were pleasantly surprised that the restaurant did not have a line. We received our order within 10 minutes. We don't have any complaints and will visit again.
Love this place. Would give 10 stars if I could. DD Mau has the best pho in the St Louis and St Charles area. Great matcha tea, and Crab Rangoon! Good value for the portion of the food. Everyone is very kind. Really nice, airy, open dining room, creating a nice ambiance.
Would highly recommend if you order online to get there before the food comes out. We've had our food stolen while on the table twice, but luckily they made the order for us again.

UPDATE: Online orders now charge an extra $1 processing fee which is a secondary tax on top of the sales tax. Great food but prices have significantly increased over the past year. Add $3 to the menu prices and that is what you will pay when you check-out online.
I visit this restaurant quite frequently and really enjoy the food. The staff is always friendly and the food is prepared quickly. I'm a vegetarian and find that they have a good selection of veggie / vegan options on the menu. Their vegan beef is so good that I sometimes doubt that it's not real real beef. I also love their fresh spring rolls (which are now priced as an entree). Everything there is so tasty, even if you're a meat eater. How many plants had to die to make my tummy so happy? At least a bowl full.
I discovered DD Mau a few weeks ago and am OBSESSED! The prices are very competitive for the portions, place is spacious and clean, and staff is friendly and very conscientious. Last night I was waiting for a friend, one of the ladies came over extremely concerned that I hadn't been helped. She remembered me from the night prior and remembered what I had ordered! I told her I was waiting for a friend so we can order together and she began thanking me for not ordering ahead of my friend. I was so touched! The food was absolutely delicious, as always!
Somehow in my 20 odd years of life I have avoided eating at a Vietnamese restaurant of any kind my whole life. Not something my family ever went for growing up, so its not a usual thing for me and definitely out of my comfort zone. Finally tried it by eating at DD Mau and it was definitely the kind of food, atmosphere, and customer service that makes me not only want to eat Vietnamese food again, but definitely return to this restaurant. The food was delicious, filling, and healthy, it arrived on time and accurate to my and my companions order. We also had to comment on the potion sizes being so good for the price. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of sauces and napkins available up by the front for self-serving. Now I want to try other Vietnamese places as well, but I will definitely be returning to this one !!
Solid establishment for some quality Vietnamese eats. I had the combo pho and a couple of chicken bao buns. The toppings and sauce on the buns were delicious and super fresh. Chicken was well seasoned. The combo pho was delicious and included rare beef, brisket and beef balls. Overall a solid experience. Prices are on the higher end compared to most Vietnamese restaurants.
I’ve been coming here for the longest time. It’s been a spot I’ve come to for vegan friendly Vietnamese inspired food. I say inspired as I cannot gage how authentically Vietnamese the food here is, only someone familiar enough with the culture could vouch for it. I enjoy the food, nonetheless. I’ve had the spicy lemongrass, different noodle bowls, some bahn mi sandwiches, it’s all good. All that is vegan, I’ve probably already tried it by now. It’s a nice modern space. You order at the counter and they give you a number. Once the food runner comes, you get your food and the number is taken back. They can make the drinks here vegan for the most part. An easy milk swap is all it takes. I have plenty of memories here with my vegan posse. It’s a nice vegan spot.
Love this place! I need them to open a location in West County! I've had the pho, bao, and various bowls....all SO good. The food is always fresh and flavorful.
Very easy online ordering on the shops website. I would recommend checking the menu, if you are looking for vegan options - they have plenty of options. My dinner was ready in about 20 min for pick-up and at very reasonable price.
Lemongrass soup was delicious! I also recommend trying few appetizers.
DD Mau Vietnamese has a great selection of protein items while making the selections vegan and veggie friendly. We had a banh mi and vermicelli bowl and both were really good!
Everything on the menu is delicious. However, for me, some unexpected highlights... I'm not really into chicken wings, but Wow! These are terrific. Get the wings. And the spicy lemon grass soup, don't let the 'vegan' description scare you away, it's wonderful. My usual is the vermicelli bowl, always a winner, but every time I venture out and try something new to me, I am always impressed. Well done DD!
Really great all around. For a counter service place, I was very pleasantly surprised at the menu, freshness of ingredients, and how flavorful the dishes were. There was a 10 minute wait -- because neighborhood folk all hold it in such esteem. It remains on my regular rotation!
DD Mau provides a new perspective on Vietnamese cuisine. They offer a fully customizable menu with Vietnamese ingredients. I liked the bún thịt nướng (pork vermicelli bowl) as it was colorful and tasted fresh. The combination pho was great and I wonder if they used actual soup bones. The bao sliders were delicious, but took a little longer to make. It was also surprising to see that the staff was bilingual (and even trilingual!) A bit on the pricey side, but definitely worth a try.
Food is always fresh, hot and quickly served. We had the combo Pho and the Chicken Bahn Mi. Portions were bug enough that we each took home half of our meal. Oh and daughter had the pork Spring Rolls which she loved.
I was shocked by the authentic “meat” texture of their vegan beef. I could have eaten at this location daily and enjoyed every bite. The vegan shrimp’s flavor and texture were also wonderful! I would’ve sampled it all if I had the opportunity before leaving the area. Magnificently savory and filling!
