Thank You for letting me do the Cool Cat 808 Challenge. A lot of places with food challenges tend to make up excuses as to why I can't do the food challenge at that time(because I fit the profile of someone likely to succeed) so they say for example they are out of the ingredients or the kitchen is too backed up(even if I come in on a Tuesday afternoon when its dead), but this place let me do it without any hesitation. I signed the waiver and I was on my way.
The burger in the challenge was REALLY good to the point where I came back a few days later just to actually eat a burger that was not a part of the challenge and enjoy it. The challenge itself was enjoyable instead of miserable yet I still felt accomplished after defeating it.
Amazing food! Such a pretty spot fully shaded, open-air balcony across from the banyan Tree. Best burgers on Maui! Vegetarian & vegan friendly try the Dream Lover. Kid's hot dog was huge and delicious. Ordered onion rings for the table. All house made sauces. Great family-friendly spot. Also they have their own restrooms! Restrooms can be hard to come by in downtown Lahaina.
I was pretty impressed with the taste of the burger- I ordered one with pineapple. They have huge space and still pretty well occupied. Rather delicate balance of ingredients. It meets the reputation. Also tasted milk shake which was pretty awesome. Fast and friendly service as well. Definitely an above the pack restaurant in terms of burgers.
Good food overall. Burgers were cooked perfectly and serving sizes were pretty big. I was a little bummed that your burger order does NOT include French fries or anything other than just that. I could understand an upgrade charge for onion rings or set potato fries or something like that but I just feel your order should absolutely include fries. Our server was attentive and polite and we were able to catch the last few minutes of happy hour which who doesn't enjoy that. We were able to be seated immediately and the place was very busy, no call ahead just walked in. Atmosphere was cool, I always enjoy elevated balconies to see the street and commotion down below. Would eat here again.
Omg first time at this place. I have to say the waiter who helped us was amazing. She knew what to recommend and let me tell you everything was amazing especially my Marilyn burger and the fries omg the best and the seasoning also the bbq to dip your burger and fries. Hands down. Awesome 👏🏽 customer service skills and food
Highly recommend stopping here for lunch or dinner! We had live music while we were there! I had the Don Ho burger and it was mouth watering, So juicy and tasty! My fiancé had the Duke burger and was unable to finish it with how fulfilling it was! The fries here are delicious with a garlicky taste!
I took my dad out there for an early Father’s Day Iunch. I had the Hula chicken fried. Wife and mom got the Hawaiian burger. Everyone in our party at. Everything is delicious. And fulfilling. We were all full.
The server was friendly. Service speed is medium.
Great time over all. The other great thing is you can Apple Pay
We were there for happy hour and had the sliders, Mai Tais, the burger of the month which was called Merry Cheese I believe, chicken strips, and grilled cheese sandwich. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. The food was good and happy hour definitely helps. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for their burger fix.
Nice staff. Food was pretty good. The Ricki Ricardo salad was a bit rough/tough lettuce but had a good amount of chicken. .
The Duke burger a 9 out of 10.
Fish tacos had a good size piece of fish.
Atmosphere is nice. Open space with TVs
Great little place to eat while in Lahaina. We had the burger of the month which was awesome. Blue cheese and garlic burger. The fish tacos were good, nothing special. The fries were average. Onion rings were really good. We had no wait, at 11:30am which was really nice. Worth a try. Reasonable prices too.
Good selection of burgers and other sandwiches. Everyone loved their burgers and chicken but I thought the fish sandwich was pretty meh. (I'd give it 5 based on my families thoughts but I'm gonna knock a star off for the fish)
The adult milkshake was solid though(Kona Carbomb) and the fries were great.
They say it's the best burger on Maui since 2004. And I believe that 100% this was a big tasty burger, it came out hot. The basket of fries nice and hot. Alot of fries plenty to share. The bartender Paul was on point friendly and great at making us feel welcome. It's a little hard to find but man it's good. Atmosphere excellent. So if you want a good burger in Lahiana, do check it out you will not be disappointed.
Decided to check this place out while on vacay in Maui. Located on the top floor of the wharf shops. We though it was going to be a long wait but we got seated pretty quick. It's a cute dineresque atmosphere with old assorted posters on the wall. Saw a few with Elvis, James Dean, etc...they had quite a bit of tables and they also had dining stools around the bar and counters. I really liked the atmosphere and the servers were great. One thing I noticed here is that all the workers work together to clear out/pick up tables so they can sit people faster. Burn and turn! That was great to see. Prices aren't too bad either. We shared the shared rib plate and also ordered the Frings, which consisted of fries and onion rings or sub fries for sweet potato fries. Anyhow, the onion rings were great, the onion flavor was not as strong as I am used to, them seemed more sweet but were very good. The fries were the delicious...they do have a spice on them with a bit of a kick but that is, I believe what made them sooo good. Now as far as the ribs, those were fall off the bone tender and very delicious. The shared rib plate came with 5 ribs., and with the extra firing basket we ordered, two of us got full. Did I mention. The milkshakes and malts? They have a build your own milkshake and malt menu, or suggested ones, those were so rich and yummy also. I definitely would give this place a visit if you're in the area. We would also come again. If you read this review, please hit the like button. Thank you!
In a fun, central location Cool Cat Cafe was also a delight for the good food. The service was average and I had to ask to have my drink filled. I think the server may have had too many table to take care of. The place was clean and the food was above average. My wife really liked her Don Ho burger and my daughters both really liked the California Dreamin’ sandwich and my fish loving daughter enjoyed her catch of the day. (Not sure what the fish was, but she liked it quite well.). I had the blue suede shoes burger. It was cooked just right, not overcooked, the blue cheese was plentiful, but not overdone and the bread, a brioche bun, was also tender and slightly chewy in texture, just right.
Overall, it was a very positive experience and we’d go back, if or when the occasion presents itself.
Good place to bring a group. Food was nice, maybe a tad bit priced up but not surprising in such a touristy area. Service was good. Was craving burgers and this definitely did the trick! Decor in the outdoor seating area where we were could use some updating or jazzing up to go with the retro theme. It would help differentiate the restaurant from the rest of the shopping area. Overall nice experience. Good location if you want some variety of shopping, sweet treats, sights and sounds, all perfect things to take in while waiting for the table in the restaurant.
I’m a huge fan of their Blue Hawaii Salad with blackened fresh catch and house dressing. It has been my favorite lunch on Maui. Nice mix of fresh veg and beautifully cooked fresh fish. And that tropical salsa is AMAZING! Staff here is super friendly, place is super chill. Menu is diverse - good for hamburger lovers, salad lovers, fish lovers, chicken lovers, veggie lovers and milkshake lovers.
Excellent place. The fresh fish and burgers are excellent. The milkshakes and root beer floats are great as well. The decor is very '50s and the staff are super helpful. They do have an eating challenge where you have to eat a cheeseburger with 8 patties and 8 cheese slices within 30 minutea to get half off the burger, your name on the wall, and a T-shirt.
Cool Cat Cafe has delicious burgers! They even have some gluten free and vegetarian options for those with some restrictions. Staff was friendly and decor is very '50s inspired. A great quick stop for lunch while in Maui!
