AMAZING FOOD and service! Made a reservation is advance (restaurant is small), and pre-ordered the items we wanted. My boyfriend is Japanese and he was very impressed. My favourite items here were the beet/scallop dish, spicy salmon roll, CHAWANMUSHIIII šŸ˜, and lilikoi ice cream. Will definitely be back the next time Iā€™m in Maui!

Definitely a hidden gem for sushi at this literal mom and pop run sushi place they operated for 27+ years! Straight from Japan, just some sushi chef and his wife came to hawaii just looking to capitalize on the lack of Japanese cuisine on Maui! They focused on cool and unusual rolls and offered tempura and udon which apparently doesnt exist on any other resturant in the island (reading lips here ..). While service can be slow with the only waiter handling payments , serving water and also delivering the food can be a challenge. But they wouldn't hire any other people except for help on weekends. And when the food does arrive, its probably one of the better sushis ive ever had! The eel rolls had alot of flavor and texture to them! Plus the breading on the tempura is just right! The server was also really nice to point out other restaurants to support in addition to their restaurant as well which was really nice of them! We'll definitely try the other restaurant they recommend and also want to support because local businesses like these need any shout-outs they can get!

First time dining and the food was outstanding! Small restaurant with very few tables allows for a relaxed, almost private dining experience unlike the crowded, noisy alternatives found elsewhere. I was initially reluctant to preorder my menu choices with a requested reservation online, but did so upon being reassured by our friends. We arrived 5 minutes before our reservation time and were promptly seated. Our first entree of the most delicious, fresh sushi was brought to the table moments later. Obviously, the chef had been preparing it prior to our arrival. We spent nearly 2 hours enjoying the wonderful food and the company of our friends. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant if you are willing to make dinner plans in advance.

Very delicious. Their fish is very fresh and prepared with a lot of care. We had all ala cart sushi and it was great. As always my favorite was the sweet shrimp. A little sad they donā€™t prepare head though. Iā€™ll definitely be back.

šŸ¤© excellent, top-quality sushi! We reserved our seats and placed our order online. It's a small restaurant with a few tables and a few chairs at the sushi bar but, wait until you see and taste the food. Wow! šŸ£

We got sushi takeout from Sushi Paradise on Valentineā€™s Day. We called late(around 6pm) and was able to schedule a pickup at 10pm. We ordered the Sashimi platter and some Nigiri. The food was nicely packaged and the lady who waited for us at the restaurant(apparently we are the last customer they were waiting for) also did a great job explaining all the fishes in the order and how to use the sauce. Although it was a takeout order I really enjoyed the quality of the sushi and how well they packaged the food as well as how fresh the food was. Highly recommend!

My friends always enjoy coming here and talking about the quality of the fish and it being one of their favorite hole-in-the-wall places to recommend for their visiting friends. I remember trying the Matcha ice cream they had that they always would get after their meal, and I remember it being pretty high quality - Miguel Morales Photography

Sushi Paradise is Maui's hidden gem when it comes to good sushi! We always get the Paradise dinner which come with a sashimi platter and nigiri platter and a roll of your choice. Enough for 2 and very worth the price. Beet and spicy Scallops are bomb also the fresh uni! Spicy salmon roll is topped with alot of avocado and delicious!

Had a great dinner at Sushi Paradise. The nigiri sushis were yummy - I love how the sushi rice is small with larger fish on top (unlike many other sushi places where the nigiri is mostly rice). It's not as small as nearby Koiso sushi bar and much easier to get a seat without reservation many days ahead. Plenty of parking in the lot. Easy place to spot while driving down South Kihei Road.

The sushi is the freshest, Alisa, the hostess is the friendliest, and sushi Chef Watanabe uses the most precision with each order. We highly recommend this place to all of our friends and come here at least once a week. The sashimi dinner, salmon skin salad and the ikura, uni and oysters are the best I've ever had.

The best sushi I have ever eaten! Tasty, fresh and authentic cuisine! I would recommend you dine in and order combo set. This restaurant is small serving only 5 tables, so you should make a call around 5pm to make a reservation!

Good sushi, a little dated, I guess we were expecting something more special. Very good quality but not as good on a whole as other places we've been on the mainland or in HI. Respect to the old school chef but even the best need to modernize a little as time goes on

Amazing mom and pop sushi spot! The sushi platter is a great way to taste different kinds of fish. The snapper and salmon sushi, the spicy salmon roll, the spicy tuna roll, and the shrimp tempura roll were perfect. Great service too! Our server was incredibly friendly and attentive.

This is an authentic Japanese family run sushi restaurant. Husband preps and wife serves. Sushi is as fresh as it gets. Good sake selections too. They are very popular, and have limited their seating,so advance reservations are required, Owners are very covid aware, and take their ,and their guests safety seriously.
