My wife and I were in town for a quick getaway. She suggested that we go to Perkins; she would go to Perkins when she lived in the Midwest.
We went there twice during our stay and both times were amazing. The food is so good. Our servers (Jess and Taylor) were wonderful! Paul sat us down and checked us out the first time we were there and he was very pleasant. The store manager (I forgot her name) sat us and checked us out the second time and she was very pleasant. She also had on some cool Halloween earrings.

Had a great breakfast at Perkins Family Restaurant. Coffee was served hot. Pancakes were fluffy with great syrup. Omelette with onions and green peppers.......yummy! Service was spot-on. This restaurant sits across Rt 219 in McHenry, MD. from The Wisp Ski Resort. Plenty of views of the slopes! If you desire to take some baked goods with you, you're selection is tremendous. Carolyn was our waitress, she was so attentive and welcoming. Questions about substitutions we had she answered with ease and made our breakfast a great one. Brenda helped bring out our food since she saw Carolyn was a bit busy with a large group and really showed that they were a team there. Once the food came out it was hot and delicious, and didn't take long at all.
I would definitely come back here again!
Better portions than similar restaurants of this nature. Always hot and good. Perkins rewards offer weekly email coupons worth signing up for.
My husband and I went to our local Perkins for a working lunch. We chose it for the great selection of delicious food for a reasonable price. Our waitress Mykel was very attentive and helpful. And everything came out promptly and just as we ordered. We even added a midday treat of pie to our lunch entree. We highly recommend them for the value and food offerings.

Little slow and took awhile to get our orders but for a small town restaurant they are pretty solid and I would come back again. Albeit food took about 45 min to come out, when it did it came out hot and tasted good!! Server was friendly and even the manager had come around just to ask how our service was. Very affordable like you would see at most chain places in the city. If your in the wisp mountain resort area give this place a try.
The classic down to earth service that you always used to expect everywhere, but often don’t find anymore. And delicious food.
Our go-to breakfast spot when visiting Deep Creek Lake and are looking for a filling, homestyle breakfast with all the traditional items (eggs, bacon, pancakes, home fries, etc.). Great baked goods such as pies, muffins and more too! You will not leave this place disappointed or hungry.
I hesitate to deduct a star for service. They were understaffed for the traffic the night we were there. The hostess and our server were terrific. Did take 1 1/2 hrs from time we 1st spoke to hostess til we left and there were plenty of open tables to accommodate 6, just not enough staff or cooks.
Food was good. Staff seemed stressed but as everyone they’re short of help. Overall good place to eat.
Good place for a breakfast, this was my first time at Perkins, I liked the ambience and server was very nice to my 2 years old daughter.
The food was good. The service was outstanding. My guest spilled a full glass of diet-cola all over the table. Heidi (our wait person) cleaned it up quickly and cheerfully. Great job Heidi 👏.
I love the food. And the cup they have for sale! But they need more staff.
We've been here several times. It's a must whenever we come to Deep Creek! The food and service are always great. Definitely recommend the French toast.
