Rick's Chop House was an enjoyable experience. Our company help their Christmas Luncheon there and it was pretty good. The food was well prepared and very tasty. My meal was excellent and I enjoyed the grits the most. Too Funny. If your in the mood for a fabulous steak meal, you can't go wrong with Rick's
We had such a great dinner for our 21st anniversary! Food and service was great! I had the bison and she had the New York strip. Very tasty and cooked to order. We had beef skewers for our app which was awesome! The sauce that was on it was similar to sweet and sour sauce. Very good! We had not eaten here in years and glad we did!
Rick's Chophouse is warmly lit and relaxing, with service that makes you feel welcome and never rushed.
A dining experience you will remember.
The food is delicious, while keeping a good diverse menu for everyone.
The escargot was one of the best I've ever had. The herb oil used gave hints of rosemary and other herbs while keeping a balance of tastes.
The fillet mignon was full of flavor and melts in your mouth.
The lobster was perfectly cooked and full of flavor.
The prime rib was tender and juicy, melting in your mouth.
I finally got to go to Rick's Chophouse. All of their amazing reviews were not wrong. Beautiful ambiance. Gorgeous fresh flowers.
The service was impeccable. Our Server was Chris was 5 stars all the way. He came by making sure we were taken care of continously throughout our meal. We both ordered the chicken tacos which were so flavorful. The Red Blend wine they hand picked was excellent. Next time I'll be saving room for dessert!
This place is amazing. Amanda, thank you for all that you did for my husband and I on our anniversary. It was greatly appreciated. Brad was a fantastic waiter, so personable and polite. Also a big shout out to the ladies in the front for setting us at a great table. I had the Elk and it was absolutely fantastic. The entire meal was great. Also was informed about the brunch and will definitely be making reservations for it.
A prospective vendor took us to Rick’s in McKinney. This is an old school (classic) steakhouse, with lots of dark paneling and classic furniture. We were seated in a private room and attended by a server in a chef’s jacket. Was he a / the chef? I didn’t find out.
We began with cocktails; I had a Hendricks & tonic (alas, no slice of cucumber) while our host opted for a Monkey 47 gin & tonic. I ordered a bottle of Belle Glos Las Alturas pinot noir. The first food order was the seafood tower, which they split onto two serving dishes and an order of escargot. The star of the show was the generous serving of king crab … I probably consumed the majority of the crab. Other items included shrimp, oysters and slices of seared sashimi. The escargot was fine, not quite enough garlic for me.
My entrée was Elk Filets; it was served with mushrooms and green beans. The coloration of the elk was almost black but it was perfectly prepared and was tender, juicy and flavorful.
Another ordered the 45-day dry aged NY Strip; I had a piece … nutty and rich in flavor, it was great! IMHO 45 days is the minimum needed to understand why some (like me) love dry aged meat.
Others ordered the Sea Bass; it looked great and everyone was complimenting the food. The food prices are very reasonable and the wine prices are not out of line. Highly recommended!
