There isn't a single thing I've tried from here that I didn't think was great. The meatloaf is some of the best I've had, the fried chicken is crunchy and somehow incredibly juicy and the pulled pork is tangy and delicious. The sides are all great and the biscuits are the best! Friendly staff, food comes quick and the local beer selection is an added bonus!
We love BBQ! The brisket was some f the best I have ever had and that is my favorite go to for BBQ. They will be tough to beat. The fried chicken was wonderful also. I also had collard greens which had great flavor. The corn bread was ok. A little dry but the other food and beer choices were excellent. We will return for sure.
When the chef said, "We don't serve food; we serve happiness," he was right! My kids and I left full and happy after a dinner of fried chicken, mac & cheese, sweet tea, and an amazing banana pudding dessert. The greatest something. The greatest southern food outside of the south is here!
This place is phenomenal! The staff is great, the food is exceptional, and after trying everything on the menu it has never disappointed! Atmosphere is cozy, laid back, and clean. Highly recommended
We have ordered take out from here and it is delicious!!! Our kids love the mac n cheese (me too) the fried chicken is not greasy and is delicious, and the ribs are really meaty & delicious!! Highly recommend!
I am beside myself at having found this restaurant. I'd heard good reviews and at the recent Melrose Beer and Bites was able to try something from their menu. I was in love. My husband and I finally got to stop in today for dinner and as southerners, were so hopeful of our experience and food. True testament to a restaurant that claims to have "Southern Fare" in New England was sweet tea and we were not disappointed. My husband ordered Pork BBQ and I had the Brisket. We were in heaven. This food is amazing. The service was amazing. The owner, presumably, even sent my husband's BBQ plate back for more pork rather than send it out to us short. We will most definitely, without a doubt, be back time and time again.
Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the brisket and Mac n’cheese are a must!
Wow. Fried chicken was tender, moist and crispy. Smokehouse pulled pork sandwich had perfect smoky depth with the vinegar BBQ sauce adding brightness with a kiss of heat. Those biscuits. I never cared about biscuits before. I do now. Basically, every single thing we had was great. So good you'll take up smoking after this tasty meal.
Every time I go I get a different sandwich or dinner plate. It's awesome every time. They have a great selection of beers and drinks As well. It's ALL great!
Great bbq, loved the ribs and mac and cheese. Small little place but it's cozy with a nice southern atmosphere (bluegrass included).
Our first visit! We tried the fried chicken dinner and bbq pork dinner. Both were excellent! Loved the sides, Mac &cheese, biscuits, mashed potatoes, and corn bread. But seriously - the chess pie ... Where has this been my whole life!? Delicious food, great recommendations and friendliness from the staff! Loved it all!
