We ate at the Perkins Extended and the Timber Creek locations. The food and service was excellent! We had the BBQ pork sandwich, BBQ chicken sandwich, and jumbo chicken leg dinner. The twice baked potato salad is wonderful! The service was also excellent at both locations. The only disappointment was no beer at the Timber Creek location, but it is supposed to be coming.
There are still a few of the well-known players to check off of my Memphis barbecue list, but today I set my sights on One & Only BBQ. I managed to eat my entire plate without making a mess of my clothes, except for the piece of pulled pork that I found later in my shirt pocket. Totally worth it.
When you come, be hungry. The smoke turkey salad is HUGE. Enough for me to eat on for about 2-3 days. The smoked sausage is very tasty. The half chicken is great too. If your thing is BBQ nachos, there are two options, but only one is listed on the menu. You can get a half size & it is still large. The reason I am giving them a 4 instead of a 5 is they like brown sugar. Sauce is a bit too sweet for me. Don't think sugar, of any kind, belongs in greens. The Brusnwich stew sounds oh so yummy, but it is sweet. Now, if this sounds like your kind of meal... knock yourself out. You won't regret it.
Got in late Beale St., Packed we opted for One & Only BBQ.. The smoked chicken wings were to die for, Ribs, dry rubbed season, Tender, no sauce needed want to take some hm..BANANA PUDDING don't leave without some, OMG! We ate on Perkins St.
Awesome. Great food great service. I've tried pretty much everything they make. Great smoke flavor. Good portion sizes. Fantastic BBQ
We were in town for a soccer tournament and decided to go by One and Only BBQ. It was very very good. The service was very friendly and the nachos were great!
The wet ribs are amazing!
The next great Memphis BBQ. Took some out of town family, see I needed a choice that wasn't big chain and wasn't one off hood Q.
So I went to O&O. Party of 10, no worries. Split checks, done. Kids loud and acting fun, not noticed.
FOOD, awesome.
The adults as couples each shared Ribs +3 meats a pile of sides. This makes a great way to get everyone trying everything. Wet and Dry, brisket, pulled pork, sausage, turkey, chicken.
And they didn't bat an eye use of a coupon from the City Guide.
Business Journal says this place is gaining ground on Central. We'll see.

My new favorite BBQ place. Although it may be very un-Memphian of me, I don't really like bbq and typically only eat it when visitors are in town and I have to. However, I actually like One and Only and enjoy going there, particularly because they have a fantastic salad with strawberries, walnuts and blue cheese that I get topped with smoked chicken that is a nice break from the typical fare served at bbq places. I've heard from my dining companions that the ribs and twice-baked potato salad are amazing. I've dined at the location on Perkins twice recently and have had truly excellent service both times.
Some of the best BBQ and service in the Memphis area. Had the nachos and both dry and wet ribs. All excellent!

YUM!!. Have gone several times for lunch, and I have to say I think this is the best BBQ I've head in Memphis. Moist, delicious, and they don't drown it in sauce. You put your own sauce on, which is tangy, a little sweet, and YUMMY! Their baked beans are good, as is their slaw and very very good twice baked potato salad. This is my new favorite bbq place in town!
Extremely Impressed. My boyfriend and I were so pleased with this place, we talked about it the entire way home. First off, everyone was so friendly! Everyone was all smiles, extremely polite, just so great.
Second, my goodness, the food! He got the sausage sandwich with baked beans, and I got the regular pulled pork sandwich with fries. The sausage was unbelievable. It wasn't greasy at all, and it was SO flavorful. The outside was perfectly crispy, but it all but melted after you bit into it. Amazing. My sandwich was very, very good. Their sauce is AMAZING (I had the mild), and their pork was so tender with the perfect smoky flavor. The beans and fries were good, but nothing out of this world. We were so happy with the sandwiches, though, we didn't even mind.
We will definitely be back. I really want to try their ribs, but it'll be difficult to not immediately order the sausage next time!
Smoked Chicken was moist and delicious. I didn't add anything to my sandwich! Staff was friendly and courteous. Restaurant was clean and neat. I took Brunswick Stew with me, but haven't tried it yet. Homemade, delicious foods. Some entrees, particukarly with ribs, are more than $10 for an entree, but the food is large sized and worth every penny.

The pulled pork and ribs are good, but the meat does lack smoke rings because its cooked in an electric smoker. The burger is very good too. All of the sides are great - the twice baked potato salad is a must try, and I like that they serve deviled eggs. The only dessert I've tried is the carrot cake, and it was a huge slice of very moist cake.
The service is fast and friendly. In fact, I will go as far as to say that I have never experienced friendlier service at any restaurant anywhere. It's that good!
YUMMY!. I had the pleasure of tasting their banana pudding and potato salad at a friend's house this past Sunday. It was truly a utopian experience. Although they did not provide their actual bbq, the stuff they did cater from this restaurant was to die for! I would say it was the best potato salad and banana pudding I have ever eaten. I just put an order for a pan of their banana pudding. :-)
Wow... That's all I can say. Damn good food that will leave you so full after. My wife and I decided to grab lunch after visiting the botanical gardens and saw this place and wow, are we glad we did. Everything was delicious but it was so much food. We each got 1/2 a rack of ribs but definitely could have split one 1/2 rack, especially since it came with 2 sides. The quesadillas were delicious as well. I'm only upset that I was too full to try the banana pudding.
This is how BBQ is done! Everything tasted amazing. This place was busy but the service was good. Was so full had to take my cake to go.

This might be the best brisket I’ve ever eaten. Incredible barbecue all around - the potato salad, wings, everything. Kevin was a wonderful server. My only complaint is I was too full to enjoy dessert, but my kid loved the cake.

Here’s the thing, being from Memphis and coming back home to newish’ bbq spots; I’m always hesitant to try new bbq spots but these folks have a high rating and thats saying a lot in the Bluff City! So here we are, I did it! Lol
I popped in here ystd and I felt as if I was at family friends cook out! The music was jamming, the entire staff had smiles and were engaging with all customers whether it was their table to serve or not. I noticed who appeared to be a mgr “AC” checking on customers/ tables and overheard him telling staff how great of a job they were doing. I was drawn in by the vibes! And as I always say, Cleanliness is next to Godliness, everything was clean including restrooms!
Sarah was my server and did an awesome job. She hipped me to Vegetarian baked beans! Not every southerner wants pork in their beans… LET’S GET INTO IT!
The menu- There is so much that caught my eye so I went for it all!
Fried Pickles- The pickle chips were seasoned well just a bit too greasy for me.
The Grilled Turkey breast dinner- mind blown. I never knew Turkey breast could be so juicy off the grill! Thinly sliced with grill marks and bursting w/ juice. Two sides BUT I had three lol - Cole Slaw , fries and Vegetarian Baked Beans! So damn good! The sauce on the beans was kinda sweet with a little kick. The serving was generous so I had enough for left over.
Y’all I also took more food home! LOL a Pulled Chicken Sandwich. I never knew it was possible. I don’t eat pork or beef so this is a game changer. No more hoping and wishing of a Tops or corky’s pulled bbq sandwich. ONE & ONLY Pulled chicken sammie w/their BOMB SPICY bbq sauce and coleslaw, ahhh I’m sold forever on this! No chance to get a pic of that to go order- GONE!

Packed with flavor! I got a 1/2 rack of wet ribs (has a sweet honey glaze-like sauce,) pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and Texas toast. My wife got the drummies and jumbo wings. Everything was great, didn't even need sauce on the pork or the wings. I wish we could get this up in Michigan!
Our server Ashley provided us with outstanding customer service. She had great recommendations on what to order. We ate ribs, brisket, chicken and sausage. Every meat was full of flavor and had great quality. The sides were just as amazing. The twice baked potato salad is a must! The turnip greens is another must! The cole slaw and sweet potato fries also delicious. The tea was sweetened just right and the experience was a memorable one. The finale was the banana pudding, oh goodness... from presentation to consumption it was absolutely amazing! Definitely add One & Only on Perkins to your places to eat when in Memphis.
I’m from Texas and LOVE Texas BBQ. But this. This place right here is phenomenal!! I have tried BBQ lots of places but One & Only blows it out of the water. One could even say it’s disgusting how much I prefer it over Texas BBQ. I was here yesterday for the first time and got the pork & brisket combo with potato salad and Mac and cheese. I’m here today before heading back to Texas to get Brisket and Potato salad to bring home with me. If you’re thinking about stopping in, DO IT! Best decision I’ve ever made.
Oh, and Millie’s banana pudding was the BEST way to end an amazing lunch. Definitely gonna get me one for the road.
The food was great and I could tell a lot of locals come here to watch the game and eat good barbeque. I'm not a big bbq fan but this was delicious and great place for the people who aren't from here to try. Would recommend!
Also asked the people to extra fry my fries and they had no issue nor did they change their attitude. Love the service.
Loved it beyond words. Mind blown type of flavor to savor! The staff were very nice and we loved our server Rhonda W, she was awesome, nicest/best server♥️♥️♥️. We are on a medium length vacation dog-sitting and we will be back there to eat again for sure. You can't beat the prices, friendly service and super cool environmental vibe. They should have lost a star for the styrofoam they use, but maybe it is ♻️ here, and the food was really that good that I couldn't take it away for that. Maybe they will read this and get ride of the styrofoam!? BUT... All I can say is go out of your way to eat here, it should be one of Guy's dives!
