We recently visited Memphis for the first time , we stumbled across Schwab, and I have to say I could have spent hours and hours looking at all the delightful things in there! It was a really great experience and it sold everything you could think of, a very inspiring place that takes you back to your childhood. Would like be to go back look some more 😀

It was a great place and the employees we so friendly and helpful. And we loved the ice cream we had at the soda fountain. :)
What a cool store. I've been going there since I was 7. Mr. Schwab was the coolest man. He would give you tours of the basement and the new owner will sometimes too. Where else can you buy overalls, candy and ukelele and the same time.
Great place to stop rest and have a soda and shopping place for the ladies
This was my first grade field trip destination growing up here in Memphis in the 80's! Still a classic true Memphis must see !
Great store with a lot of great gifts! I would highly recommend a visit when you are at beale street! The staff is also very friendly!
What a great store. There's something for everyone--from cool t-shirts to root beer and Goorin Brothers hats.
Beautiful store and wonderful staff.....extremely helpful, friendly and outgoing. Definitely one of my favorite stores on Beale St. :)
A visit downtown is never complete without walking through the doors of A. Schwab!
Love A Schwab! I bought my very first set of Fiesta Ware there several years ago. ~~ Lisa :)

I love this place :) Like a warm hug when you walk through the door! The Soda Fountain was fantastic!!! BTW...Be sure to have Patrick make you one of his special Peanut Butter & Banana Paninis!!! Totally surprised us...so so good :)
I thought this was the coolest shop on Beale st. There is a lot to look at. There is an old school soda and ice cream fountain on one end of the bar and alcohol being served on the other.
The Elvis shake (vanilla ice cream, peanut butter, and banana was really good) but be prepared to just drink it. The straw doesn’t really work. I got mine malted, and the shake was about $7 for a 12-16 oz shake. Good value, cute store for the whole family
This is the perfect little touristy spot that provides a balance of souvenirs and all types of sweets, candies and unique things to buy for the whole family.
We went over and tried the milkshakes and they are incredible. not too expensive and the PB chocolate one was off the chart.
Great customer service and overall good time.
Recent trip to Memphis and Beale Street was only made better by stopping in here for an old fashioned soda drink at the old counter drug store. Lots of Memphis memorabilia and goodies to look at and buy. Enjoyed the thrill of trying freeze dried candy!
Really cute tourist spot but nothing like how it use to be. They’ve done a lot of work to clean up inside so it’s unlikely to find jewels in a heap like I use to. Great childhood memories uncovering random old things here. Hand written receipts, this place was super special, still is but very different. A must stop for your first trip on Beale Street
Nice selection of product. The perfect place for souvenirs.
Be careful with the population around. A lot of scammers and homeless around.
This Beale Street store has some of everything, from souvenir hats, magnets, T-shirts, and lots of other things. You could spend at least an hour shopping.
The ladies room was out if paper towels and not as clean as it should be.
I did report this to an employee but she said they don't have enough workers.
Very good gift shop for people visiting Memphis and want to take a little of Memphis back with them. The Elvis Shake was very good from the Fountain shop they have inside. A must go if you are on Beale Street.
Fun shopping experience! Reasonable prices and wide variety of gifts and souvenirs. Loved having a sundae at the soda fountain. Little museum up on the second floor had some interesting items from their long history. I would recommend stopping there. #Memphis #vacation #rocrealestateconnector
You must stop here, just for the sheer audacity of the place. Yes- there is junk- but there are also quite a bit of fun items here as well.
Make sure you check out the old school soda fountain. While I had no homemade sodas, we did try the malted milkshake, and it was a great treat in a hot day.
Make sure you go all the way to the top- there are three floors!
Super fun and alot to look at. Fun old candies, toys, post cards. T-shirts, Hoodoo items, with an old soda fountain inside. Definitely worth a visit. Only open till 5pm.
